Can't see Contact name in sms messages folder - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I' unlock my Mda Vario IV (HTC touch pro) with Oli unlock software and everything works with the exception of my sms...
I can send and recive sms but, all messages that from my new network are not recognize by my phone. I can see text of message but caller number is show as it not in telephone memory or in contact list, I can't see caller name just number.
If I click on that number in message folder they give me this message:
This person is not in you contact list Do you wish to create a new contact for this person?
Even if I put this number again im my contact list they not apeare on next sms that I recive from this contact(person).
If I' apply the same procedure with some people on my previeus network in my case T-Mobile, everything is OK. My phone recognize what contact is sending sms and correctly show message and caller name.
Please give me advice

Check your ROM version & see what radio is originally supplied with it, then check your current radio version in settings>device info or on the boot screen during startup.
Oli's unlocker may of installed a patched radio that is causing this issue for you, if so find you original radio version & flash it.
You could also just debrand your device to a HTC generic ROM.
Your other option is to contact Oli with your issue.

Original:
ROM Version: 1.90 Raphael
Radio version: unknown (I wasn't look on before unlock, and now I can't find on web)
Current:
ROM Version: 1.69.119.1 WWE
ROM date: 08/18/08
Radio version: 1.10. OliNex
Protocol version: 52.35.25.21U
If I debrand to a HTC generic ROM and radio version will this procedure lock my device, again ? What is your suggestion, what to do?
I already contact Oli for this issue but no answer from him

Yeh you have the patched oli radio used for the unlock.
Personally I would of used unlock code service as cheaper & easier unless you require the aditional security unlocking.
Try radio in link below & see if it fixes the problem. If not I would personally update to the latest generic HTC ROM direct from HTC website.
http://rapidshare.com/#!download|133|194248058|Raph_Radio_1.11.25.01.zip|9265
I can also recommend the TAEL or Energy 2.1 sense ROMs if WM6.5 interests you.
*flashing radio or rom will not relock your device, once unlocked it remains unlocked*

Upgrading to the newest ROM but which one ?

I got Jam and running 1.12.00 WWE ROM and 1.12.10 Radio 1.12.128 ExtROM . Last weeks i have tried to install BRS and i have succeeded but after a while i decided to original shipped ROM ( mentioned above ). Right after all these changings, my device started to fail getting SMS messages ( but sending without any problem ), i think while these tunings something went wrong or something and it caused this problem ( certainly its not about my SIM card or of its settings ). So here is my question : i wanna upgrade my device to the newest shipped ROM as well as the newest Radio vers. , in order to fulfill my aim what files ( i mean which ROM and Radio version and other needed apps etc. ) do i have to have and may i get them from xda ftp ? And my last request from you dear Masters, can this upgrade manage to solve my SMS problem ? This situation is getting very important for me day by day, its itching my brain every moment.
i dont think your sms problem is caused by the ROM. i did use 1.12, and had no sms problem like yours. now im using 1.13 rom and radio (but no ext rom), which i believe are the latest for magician at the moment. find them on the FTP. thanks
O2 Settings
Hi,
I've just upgraded to the O2 Big Storage Rom (WWE_O2_1.12.00.zip from the FTP), I was expecting (probably naiively) to have all the O2 settings etc to be installed as well.
There's no O2 customisation whatsoever and I don't even have the option for MMS in my messaging Folder.
Is there any way to just get the latest O2 Mini Rom?
Or to at least get the settings - i'm assuming that they all come from the extended rom? If so, how should I go about installing that?
I have searched and there's so much going on, it all gets a bit daunting.
Thank you for your help in advance
C

what is the cause of this problem?

I have got a Turkcell(Turkey GSM operator) branded HTC Kaiser with wm6.0 professional
ROM version: 2.50.480.0 WWE
ROM Date: 03.18.2008
Radio: 1.27.15.32
and something like communication protocol(?) version: 22.51.88.13W.
the problem is, in Turkcell prepaid line type, the command *123# is used for querying the remaining credit. in the official Turkcell branded and shipped HTC ROM, which i gave the versions above, this command gives "unsuccessful" message. the command works for approximately 10-15 min after powering on the device, but after this duration, again the message unsuccessful message given.
what is the cause of this problem? radio, or rom or anything else? can it be solved without changing the rom?
i have tried the official wm6.1 rom, and did not encounter that error. however, that rom does not support Turkish Language so i can not use the Turkish Characters on the hardware keyboard. i wish i have sunnysoft interwrite pro 9.5 full version on wm6.1
thanks...
Well, not entirely the same but me here in Indonesia use Telkomsel postpaid and we have the same operator command *123# to check current month running balance due. I don't have problem at all, wm6 or wm6.1 no difference.
I hardly think it's rom related. Just registry set sumtin'. Unfortunately i don't know which key. But again, maybe i'm wrong and it is ROM related.
in official wm6.1 rom, the command works great. only in the operator shipped ROM
thats more likely network related than handset related
It is not Rom related, more oparator network related,We use here to know current balance *225# and I did try almost every rom here xda developers shipped, cooked, oparator roms and always worked.
I suggest check the link, maybe something to do with oparator setting.
Here;
http://www.turkcell.com.tr/yardim/servisyazilimlari#
regards
you said that's anetwork problem, but if it is a network problem, then how can it be seen only in one version of ROM?
i tried several ROMs including official 6.1, only this rom gave this "failed" message. and this message continues to shown until the device is soft resetted. after a while, again "failed"...

Do I need to upgrade the radio ?

I just upgraded everything with Tomals 8.5 the special build.
At this moment the device info indicates the following:
ROM versiion D.08.50.TML WWE
ROM Date: 02/01/08
Radio version: 1.09.00
Protocol version: 42.42.P8
Are there any incompatibilities between these and Tomals last build ?
I can not make phone calls and I had to remove the battery in order to be able to receive calls.
Can anybody tell me if and what I did something wrong ?
Thank you
PS: the phone is T-Mobile MDA Pro
Have you tested with another SIM card?
I don´t get clear about removing the battery?
As far as I know almost any radio is compatible with Tomal ROM´s (I have tested 1.08,1.14,1.15,1.18 without any problem)

I don't have an other SIM card
I disconnected the battery.
One more strange thing: If I try to access Contacts I get nothing. NADA. The PDA does not take the command.
Apparently whatever is connected with "dial" is not working.
How do I upgrade the radio ?
Thanks a lot

Can't open the zip.

lol thanks dude it worked
Upgraded directly from the V1 ROM. Very happy with it, thanks for all your hard work!
My bootloader version is 4.6.2250.0(129185)... How can I get my phone to the state which is compatible with RSPL/HSPL? I'm tired of watching everybody else enjoy themselves.
Sent from my 7 Trophy using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Flash the original release of the Stock ROM that applies to your phone, it's in the Trophy section posted by Angsar. It will be named for your phones provider (ie in NZ its VodafoneNZ even if bought from 3rd party store).
That will set your bootloader to basic, then flash the HSPL thing and then flash up to V2. RSPL will not work for the ROM, you will need HSPL for it to work properly.
Nice! Been looking forward to this release for "ages" Damn good work, thank you so much for your effords!
EDIT: Is it only me or does Advanced Configuration Tool v.1.4.0.0 not work with this ROM? It opens, but closes/crashes a short while after?
EDIT 2: Figured it out. You have to activate Flight Mode before launching Advanced Config app. If you've got the phone hooked up with your PC, then unplug it first or else the phone uses the Ethernet Internet connection via Zune.
Everything works like a charm now
This rom works perfectly! Tnx!

every rom on that topic has a inferior spl version so if you flash it, it will downgrade the spl version and you will be able to do the rspl/hspl process

Any love for CDMA Spark_W (AKA the Verizon Wireless HTC Trophy world phone CDMA/GSM) yet?
We want to play too !!!
The download links are down!
I don't understand how to downgrade the SPL ...

[RADIO SPARK_W] SparkW Radio Collection (Verizon Trophy CDMA) [Updated 04-14-2012]

The following radios are for Spark_W (Verizon Trophy CDMA) only. Do not attempt to flash these to a GSM Trophy (meaning any Trophy NOT branded by Verizon Wireless).
To flash these radios, you must already have HSPL installed! Click here to find out how!
You only need to pick the radio you want, and flash it. That is all that is required.
I have been able to successfully extract the original shipping radio, and the radio update for Mango (v1) to files that can be flashed to the Spark_W (Verizon Trophy CDMA) without flashing an entire rom. This is really nifty for when you downgrade your SPL to 1.03 using the method described in my downgrade thread, and you are forced to use the shipping radio. Now you have the option to flash a newer radio (and for myself, the v1 Mango radio works much better than the shipping NoDo radio).
To check what radio you currently have installed on your phone, you can either enter the bootloader by shutting down your phone, then pressing vol-down + power when starting the phone, or by navigating to Settings=> About Phone=> More info.
In my own personal testing, I did not get any factory reset by flashing these radio files. If your phone factory resets flashing these radios, navigate to Settings=> About Phone=> More info and post what hardware version you are using. All testing on my own phone was done on hardware revision 003.
The flashing software included with these radio's is a newer version that doesn't ask a bunch of questions! Once you have put your phone into bootloader mode, run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and it will automatically start flashing the radio to your phone!

I hope for those of us already testing custom HSPL roms on Spark_W that this will be a huge help. I personally get much better reception all around with the later radio (at least in CDMA). Please feel free to comment on CDMA/GSM reception of each radio, etc!
I am surprised no one has created a thread like this for Spark GSM radios. The method of extraction is simple. (Use OsBuilder to extract rom image. In settings put SPAW1000 ID and check radio.nb and uncheck os.nb. Build rom.. on other phones you'd replace the ID with whatever is required).
Now, get testing these radio's out and give feedback!
*edit* I'm not sure if Mango v2's drivers included a radio update. I will have to flash back to stock and confirm sometime this week, unless someone running and up-to-date stock rom can tell me?
*edit 2* [04-01-2012] It's not joke, I added Mango v2 radio. Best radio I have used so far.
*edit 3* [04-14-2012] Added Mango v3 radio from 8107 official Verizon rom (RUU_Spark_W_S_VERIZON_WWE_2.04.605.02_Radio_NV_0215_NV58008_RELEASE.exe available in football's rom thread). Yes, I know the version number is lower and it isn't a typo this time! That is the reported version! It's also notable that this radio is larger in size then previous versions!
Yes there is a newer radio with the Mango V2 Drivers.
OS Verison: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware revision number: 2305.13.20110.605
Hardware revision number: 0003
Radio Software Version: 1.53.00.12.01_23.17w.05.13U
Radio hardware version: 3.23.D4
Bootloader version: 2.1.230513.10
Chip SOC version: 2.3.0.5.13
It's no joke, I added the v2 Mango radio today. I didn't realize that Football had released a Mango v2 official rom, so I extracted it from that.
Thanks for these. Bumped my phone up to Mango v2 yesterday without any problems. Whether my reception improved or not, I can't tell, but it certainly didn't get worse so hooray!
Minor thing: you typoed the version number of the Mango v2 radio. It's 1.53..., not 1.52...
Fixed on both link and filename on mediafire. Thanks.
football just released a brand spankn' new stock rom. I'm going to see if it has a new radio (Mango v3 radio?).... lets see.
SPL downgrade
If you do the SPL downgrade, do you have to install the radios in order or can you jump right to mango v2?
The radios' flash just like roms, so you do not need to install each one at a time. Pick the radio you want and install.
As a side note, I have attempted to install the Mango v3 radio using this method recently, but no luck. I'll have to take a closer look this weekend when I have time.
Newest Mango v3 radio posted from official 8107 rom. I have no clue why the versioning is a lower number, i checked and rechecked to make sure it was correct!
My personal experience so far, is that this radio performs similar to Mango v2.
Yeah, I saw that lower number and wondered why I would want that, but if it's from the official release, I guess I'll try it. Thanks for your work.
Yeah, worst case scenario is that you can switch back. Since flashing a different radio is easy, no biggie. I'm glad we have THIS many choices for radios even though only one carrier carries SparkW.
Thanks for this !!!!
I would like to add that 1.53.00.02.15_23.17w.05.13U Manga v3 radio may also be part of added support for CMAS or Commercial Mobile Alert System. CMAS was added to the operator package of the Verizon Mango v3 driver:
From: 438ABF0C-B691-4259-A742-1F224FA3B5BA.rgu
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\ShortMsg\Settings]
"CmasOperatorEnabled"=dword:1
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ShortMsg\Settings]
"CMASAlertOption"=dword:1
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Broadcast]
"TestPort"=dword:4370
These are the new registry settings, and they did not exist before.
1.53.00.02.15_23.17w.05.13U might be required for this to work, but I have no idea how to tell. It's an interesting feature so you'll need to check your registry to see if it is enabled. I know DFT Freedom doesn't have it (yet), I'm not sure about ansar's roms since I haven't tried it yet.
I updated my wife's park_w to Tango via Zune (bone stock phone) and she has a even newer radio on it, in-case you want to find it and add it to the list
Still no official stand alone rom from Football. Unless he or someone else releases one, I have no easy way to extract radios.
I looked into finding the radio files in the rom update.cab files... but its a bit dangerous even if I could find it. :/
Unlock
My phone is Verizon Trophy with locked sim, If I flash any of those radios will I get carrier unlock?
