[REQ] Solution for the TouchTwit App - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hey Guys,
I started this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=685114
And there are many people (from post 7) with a not working TouchTwit app because the support wont update TouchTwit since the update of Twitter to the oAuth system.
Now my question is if there is a developer who wants to make an update or somehing so that TouchTwit is working again. There are many paying customers (like me) that don't have support anymore...
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, pity that nobody has responded. Close the thread?

Second that request, although I'm not sure if and how it could be done due to copyright issues...

[06 July] XdaBugs - A Formal Introduction
Does your ROM play up?
Annoyed that those lazy developers are doing nothing?
Your complaints getting lost in all the n00b questions?
Well look no further - XdaBugs is your answer!!
What is XdaBugs?
XdaBugs is a Bug Tracking system that is designed for the multiple devices, roms and problems that mobile devices suffer. Using our unpatented technology, you can place a bug report using a structured form that allows developers to quickly decipher the problems and users to add comments and additional info
But, doesn't that replace these forums?
No.
XdaBugs is designed to compliment the Xda-Developers forums. XdaBugs is made with being clear and concise in mind, hence all comments\bugs are moderated and anything posted to the site needs to stay on topic.
So, how do I get started?
First goto: http://xdabugs.vidmes.com
Then, have a look around the site - you can even see bugs and comments without logging in!
A good place to start is the Help\FAQ page. Alternatively, clicking on every link in the sidebar also works...
Once your used to the layout and the site, goto the Register page and sign up
Now start spreading the bugs!! (That sounds like a good slogan... then again...)
Side Note: I'm a Developer, and my ROM is currently on the site, what should I do?
Sign up to the site then PM me on Xda-Developers requesting developer privileges
From there, remember to check on all of your bugs for your ROM, and edit the rom and bugs as you see neccesary
Side Note: I want to help out by being an Admin!
Great! Now go away!
But seriously, if you really want to help, then PM me requesting admin privileges and argue your case. If its decent, I'll grant you privileges.
[?? June] Original Post
The new Xda Bugtracker I have been working on has now been finalised (or at least in a Beta) - so its ready for use!
Just goto http://xdabugs.vidmes.com and check it out
NOTE:
It is still a little buggy, but I'm working on that
It IS NOT a forum - so bugs\comments will be heavily moderated
If you need developer\admin privleges, then PM me
Also PM or email me any bugs that you find
Enjoy!
(Also, all data from the Alpha version's database has been wiped - so you may need to re-register...)

Actually, I added most of the ROMs that are currently there - just to show some examples\get things started
Either way - Enjoy!
A Note to Developers:
You do actually need to edit your bugs and add\remove comments - thats the whole point of a bug tracking system, however I'm still seeing a lot of "unverified" bugs...
There isn't a big contribution to bug tracker.... i don't understand why guys don't participate to that !
is it still on?

New Version! (0.02.7b)
Includes
Minor bug fixes
Bugs now show the date of their latest comment
Date of latest comment is highlighted if it is new (compared to your lst logout)
A reminder for Developers
Please ensure that only your latest version is on the Xda Bugs site
Deprecate old versions (you can do this by editing them)
The site is supposed to be heavily moderated, so remove\edit comments as needed
Remember to update the status of bug (you can do this by editing them)
PM me if you need Developer permissions!
I like the idea of a bug tracker, but i believe i can say why it's not so much used.
1) UI is not intuitive. Bugs must be listed in table format with Title, Rom version, severity, reproducability etc etc in one list, searchable between roms and more.
2) The first thing you're faced with when you go to the site is a login prompt. First page must be the bug list, and you're not asked for login until you want to submit a new bug.
Not trying to all-knowing or anything, just giving constructive suggestions, i can even help out if nobody are up to it.

Was it official release or took rom from this forum? Can you describe clearly meaning of "it does not work or reboot" - are you stuck on any screen, splash? Try to reflash again, first

Fixed.
It was a DNS issue, so it may take a day or two to propogate. Alternatively, you can bring up the "Run" box in windows (Start->Run...) and type in "ipconfig /flushdns" then hit "Ok" - this should clear your DNS Cache

Petition: Fring for Android

Hi there,
I wonder why there is no fring for android. There is a big thread in their forums:
http://www.fring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8336
(unfortunatly the Blackberry thread is bigger :ugly)
Maybe the dont get enough feedbacK from the android community?! So what do you xda-developer members with an android device think about an online petition?
Alternativly you can hammer their "Your handset is not supported ... yet." form:
http://reg.fring.com/app/newhandset... your Email Addres&country=Enter Your Country
You probably have to choose the G1 because its the only Android phone in the list...
Hi There,
Omri from fring here.
We are working on the Android version. It takes time but I can promise you that this version is worth the wait...
Re: Blackberry
Unfortunately it is not possible to develop an application that will play and record audio at the same time on the Blackberry platform, that's the main reason for the lack of a Blackberry version.
I will add a few more Android devices to the waiting list so you can leave your email and we will let you know once it's out.
You can also follow us on twitter for the latest news (@fring) or subscribe to our blog www.fring.com/blog
I'll be around so if you have any questions I'll be happy to assist.
Have a great day.

Hi Omri,
thank you for your answer. Happy to hear that you guys are onto it. I hope that it is going to be a full version, not crap like skype lite (no voice chat) or any other im app for android (which unfortunatly are all not satisfying, regarding function and quality).
Thanks again...

Thanks for the reply... been waiting for this for a while. Would be interesting to find out the time scale of this!

[Req] Dummy App

Hello everybody, I'm fairly new (ghoster mostly) to this forum and yet I'm already making a request.
I've got a Dreamspark account with Microsoft since I'm a student right now, but I have no background in any type of coding. I'm registered with App Hub as a student developer, but I need an app to submit to them to get verified. Any crappy app works, but I just don't know the first thing about creating apps. After I get verified, I can get Mango beta from them legitimately rather than going through the side steps as some of you've posted here.
If anybody could make me a quick, easy app, I'd really appreciate it. I won't publish it or anything of course.
Thanks!
Why not look at the tutorial videos over here? -
http://channel9.msdn.com/Series/Windows-Phone-7-Development-for-Absolute-Beginners
Within a video or two, you'll know how to build a "Hello World" application that you can submit to get your account validated.
Thanks for that, that was kinda interesting actually although minuscule. Thanks for the link!

Viber No Sound

Anyone else not getting sound on a call from Viber? People can hear me...I can't hear them.
Hi,
This is a member of Viber's development team.
@spielnicht - what device do you have? Do you have stock or custom ROM?
Which Viber version?
Thanks in advance.
Viber Team
Viber no sound on GARMIN ASUS A10
Hullo,
same problem here. I got a GARMIN ASUS A 10 with Android 2.1-update1 and VIBER is 2.1.2 version
Many thanks for any help
leo
This problem can have 2 different reasons:
1. The device is not officially supported by Viber. Unfortunately, that's the case of GARMIN Asus...
2. Sometimes Custom ROMs may be the source of this problem.
Android GARMIN-ASUS: Why Not?
Hi there and thank you very much for your reply.
To be very honest with you, I don't see clearly the point why it isn't.
I know many, many GARMIN-ASUS happy users here in Europe who would be very happy to use your excellent peace of App along with all the other working ones...Actually, it is the first time I'm able to fully install an App from the Android Market which is not properly working on my device...with no prior information :-( ...By the way, the device is (apparently) working fine with all other Viber features (especially texts, which is already quite nice)...and if there are no special (technical? commercial?) reasons, I wonder why you cannot work out this GARMIN-ASUS related sound issue as well...
Have an excellent day from Europe!
leo
Well,
As a company, we naturally have limited resources. We wish we could develop full compatibility for all devices out there, but unfortunately we can't.
We're looking at the global market shares of Android devices, and GARMIN-ASUS is one of the least popular ones (even though we acknowledge that it is not a "bad" device, etc.)
I didn't say we would neglect it, I just said it might take sometime before we attend to test it fully. In the meanwhile, if indeed you know so many Viber users who are longing for full compatibility, you may gather them and jointly open many ticket to our support team. The more tickets, the bigger chances that we will prioritize this task
Here's the link to our support team: http://support.viber.com
no entry for device compatibility or similar
Well,
I'd like to do that but, apparently, the wizard for support queries doesn't allow me to do that (I mean, either to me or to the thousands of other Garmin-Asus all around ) as, apparently, there is no- entry for such an issue.
leo
You can find a way to simply open an individual ticket and then write your request (again - please note that only if it is a joint request by many users, then it will have effect).
Hello, Thank you Viber Team for replying to the issues in this thread.
I recently (yesterday) installed Viber on my Galaxy S2 X - Telus (Canada) and it installed without issue. I can see friends and call / msg them but when I connect I can't hear any audio and they can't hear me as well. I have tried using both 3g/4g and wifi and received the same result.
Have you experienced this issue before? Is there a way for me to pull a log to determine the error. I'm just guessing but it seems lke the signalling is working properly and there is a problem establashing the rtp stream.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. I look forward to using this kick ass app
xluthor
I see you also sent me this via private message, so please see my response there
Same issue, galaxy S (I9000)
I m having the same issue in galaxy S, that I cant hear anything but the other person do hear.
I have stock rom, 2.3. With viber ver 2.1.2.
I also saw this model in the support list.
I also raised a ticket 2 days ago, which still in process of evaluation.
Suggestion required!
Thnx
Thanks for opening the ticket on our support site, our team will contact you back shortly.
The no-sound issue on some Galaxy devices is still being investigated by our dev team, and that is why tickets like the one you opened are important to us.
If a solution is found with your help and our support team, please share it here for all users to see
they can't hear me...
Hello, I got Samsung Galaxy S, custom ROM... rc4, Android version 4.0.3, VIber version 2.1.4
Everything is great but people can't hear me !
a few days ago I had another problem. I could not get the code, but it resolved after one day when I installed the second time, and now this....
I hope you help me about it ... Thanks
@dzgoran -
Might be a problem with the Custom ROM. Have you tested Viber on Stock ROM? Same problem?
why? i dont know.. I was downloaded from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398223
tnx...
You'll need to contact that ROM's developers. Unfortunately we can't afford to fully support all Custom ROMs out there...

Viber does not allow me notifications received calls or messages.
After unlocking receive notification of missed calls or SMS.Viber 2.1.6 and 2.3.6, Android.

I understand now.
Please make sure of the following:
1. Your C2DM service is working properly. You can check it with Android developers themselves, and also make sure a Google Account is associated with your phone.
2. Do Viber's notifications work fine when your phone is not locked?
3. Have you tested this issue when connecting to different WiFi networks?

No Google+ Hangout? Are we the "out" crowd?

Since July, I've been eagerly awaiting the ability to video chat with friends using google's Talk and today I read that the Google+ android app has added the ability to to start a "hangout" (Google+ videochat with more than one friend at once).
Are we non-rooted MyTouch 4G users forever in the "out" crowd on this because google won't give us a basic video chat feature for their Talk app? I mean c'mon already, we are at Android 2.3.4 on this wonderful lil powerhouse of a phone with front facing cam, and I don't see any video support for google apps yet....
... have I missed something?
... or is this T-Mobile locking us out of this functionality?

You've missed the ability to read.
From http://www.androidcentral.com/google-app-set-receive-big-update-will-now-allow-you-initiate-hangouts
The Google+ Android app has continued to evolve at a rapid pace. Back in September, Google added the functionality to be able to join a Hangout from any Android phone running Android 2.3 and up. One of the biggest frustrations, however, was not being able to initiative a Hangout from your mobile device. Google has finally brought that ability to the app by allowing you to start a Hangout from Messenger. If you've started a a Messenger group, you'll now see a camera icon that will initiate a Hangout with a simple tap.
Great features just keep coming. Google announced on their blog post that the app will update in the next few days, so keep your eyes out. They also announced that similar functionality will be brought to iOS so you'll be able to Hangout with your family and friends even if they have iPhones and iPads.
If you don't yet have the Google+ app, please find links to the free app after the break.

Neither rude nor childish. What was irresponsible was posting a question that has been clearly answered by the Developers themselves.
I never claim to be nice, i just claim to be honest.
edit :
You have no clue how i posted that. If you took it as insulting the problem lies with you. You can ask anyone of the other members here. I am never insulting or demeaning to any of the members. It's pointless to be rude to people that you've/i've/we've never met.
What I read yesterday is that the Google+ app already had the ability to join a hangout in progress, but that the new app being released adds the ability to start a hangout.
Now, I don't think the Glacier ever had the ability to do video chat with google apps. But, after reading yesterday that the Google+ app has already had the ability to join a hangout, I've tried joining an existing hangout with my google+ app but could not find a way to do so. My app is up to date via the Market, but that can be difficult to verify since the market lists the version as being device dependent (and so we could be left out of the latest versions), and since we never could do video with the Talk app., I kinda wonder if I'm chasing my tail here or if video DOES work for us now.
So, has anybody with a non-rooted MyTouch 4G had any success in video chatting with Google+, or have we been left out of having this ability?

Possible for a non-rooted phone? Have you tried it with success? If so, where are the .apks and .libs (more than one?) and how does a non-rooted phone have these successfully installed (instructions)?
And yes, please understand before you insult me again, that I HAVE been searching this forum for these answers (by my ability to read). I'm asking for someone to explain how this is done; not just confirm that they know someone else that did it... I mean it's nice to know that it can be done, if that is indeed true, but you have already started this conversation off on the wrong foot, matey, and it would be nice if you would just give up your fight and let someone else respond if they actually have HELP!

Cease the fight people. We must unite.
If I remember correctly I have successfully joined a hangout using the stock ROM, but it was definitely rooted. I know I've used CM7 to hangout. Decent feed as long as you're on wifi, the mic is a little sensitive though and gives some feedback, esp if you're in a room with someone else in the same hangout.

The information that was highlighted in GIANT RED LETTERS is about the release of a feature to INITIATE a video chat, BUT, the google+ app has allowed JOINING a video chat for a while now. Here, let me repost what information I already read before starting this post:
"Back in September, Google added the functionality to be able to join a Hangout from any Android phone running Android 2.3 and up. One of the biggest frustrations, however, was not being able to initiative a Hangout from your mobile device."
SEPTEMBER! this ability has been around since September. And yet I haven't seen or heard of it working with our phones this is why I posted a thread.
Regardless of the latest release, it seems that a non-rooted MyTouch 4G cant do video chat with the google+ app., nor could it do it with the Talk app. I would like to know if anyone has had success with making video chat work with google apps on a non-rooted MyTouch 4G.
But, it looks like you guys didn't read my questions -- those are the sentences with the question marks at the end. I quoted them above, but I'll try to make them simpler to understand. (Some of you senior users need to just move on if you see something that annoys you, instead of attack dogging people because you don't like or understand the way a question was posed.)
Has anybody with a non-rooted MyTouch 4G had any success with video chat for the Talk app or the Google+ app?
If no...
Is this because Google left out this capability with the Talk app?
Is this because T-Mobile has locked out these features?
And this is implied:
If yes...
How do we make video chat for the Talk app work on a non-rooted MyTouch 4G?
How do we make video chat for the Google+ app work on a non-rooted MyTouch 4G?
I guess I could ask one more question:
Does anybody have a non-rooted MyTouch 4G that can answer these questions based on experience?
