Good stuff but might want to move this to Android General...might get some flames for this one.
If you, like me live in a country without official google market, you won't find it and you won't be ableto buy it (as it's payed app).
Anderdroid - the older, free version worked on HD2
Not wanting to nitpick - but isn't this illegal?
I mean quake 3, even if open source, remains property of ID Software, and therefore cannot be sold - not to mention it's a DEMO that is sold here. If it was given for free, it would be different, but selling... I may be wrong, but I think that's not allowed.
Just wondering...

agreed i think also porting ok but u cant ask money for open source that just is ported?
and dont say download cuz u have to pay lol
Well the other ports of Quake are on sale and have been for a while... Quake3 is released under the GPL. You're paying for the port of the engine and it 'helps' you get the 'free' Pak files. I'm not selling anything that is proprietary property of ID Software. Even then it's all questionable... We'll see what happens.

per the GNU license you are allowed to modify any open source software and sell it as your own, but you must release the source code with it, so as long as OP is including the source code for the program then he is fine, and anyone can take that source code and modify it as they want and release it free (or for sale) as they want, but again, must include the source code.

Also per this you are looking for some testers on some HD2 Android ports (sense, no-sense, Desire HD sense, MIUI, Eclair, Froyo).
You may entice some of us to test it with a free version provided we give you some useful feedback.
Buying the program for our phones only to realize it doesn't work would suck.
I'd be more than happy to test, I've been using this port when it was Kwaak3
I know someone had my old build of Kwaak3 Arena running on an HD2 and posted a video of it on YouTube.
The source code will be bundled with the app in an update later this week, need to clean it up.
No sound on my HD2. Maybe the version im running? Anyone confirm having sound at all?
Nobody can tell me if their HD2 had sound playing this game or not?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
The game will not play with sound on my HD2 also. Everything else works great though.
I read a comment on the Android Market listing and it suggested locking and unlocking the phone (like you normally would with the END key) to solve the sound problem, and it worked!
Yes for now you need to lock and then unlock the device after launching the game to get sound to work on some HTC devices, does it on my G2. I will have this fixed asap! Tonight or tomorrow.
Let me just say. This is the ****ing g coolest thing ever.
I showed this to 4 people so far who would know what hey were looking at. 4 were jaws on the floor.

Does hdmi output work?
Haven't tried HDMI out, good luck with that. I did however try RCA video out on my Vibrant and that worked.
Also, sound has been fully fixed in an update.
@Anderdroid: I'd like to take a look at the source! Could you post a link to it?
Ha-lloooooo?! No one here anymore?

Yes, I know. As far as I know, only the one that is predefined works for all Android phones. If I can find more codes, I update the app. immediately.
EDIT: I updated the app with some codes that work on most Android phones
Nice work. But i have a layout prob. Im not able to see some entries (can't scroll), and therefore, layout is f*ckd
we need scrollbars
phone: HTC Hero
So far, only the first button/code works on Nexus One. Anyone knows the other codes?
thanks for the app - on HTC Desire works only first code btw.
thanks but...
app has potential, but for the time being none of them have worked on my slide and the layout problem causes some issues, try either setting buttons to half screen size and putting them side by side(two per row) or letting us scroll. thanks
Nothing works on the evo. It just opens the dialer
I will have to hit the code thread in the evo forums and update the codes
nice job........

Good App, I like the ability to change the buttons. These phone code programs are rough to make work on every phone they really have to be geared toward a specific phone because each phone uses different codes for different stuff. Here is one I made for the Galaxy S Series: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=772690
Some phones have the ability to type codes blocked out also (epic4g).

Wow this is freaking awesome. if this is java, will it work on like your windows mobile too? then you can support 2 formats at once?
Another small question. Slacker will become on-demand soon. Will you take a dive into there app side and compete and see if you can do the same as you do here with Grooveshark? I never seen anyone make a Slacker app. What id give is for a Windows Mobile one that actually works that shows the whole screen.
SciLor! Oh man when I saw your post I was so stoked. Welcome to Android development Any chance of a DL'er as in WM?

The "official" Grooveshark app requires you to be a "VIP" member to use it, whereas scilor's app does not .
It is free and may have different features.

Maybe that guy is referring to the fact that grooveshark frowns upon 3rd praty apps so you might as well just get a hacked official app if you are gonna get something frowned upon. That being said,
This is freaking exciting. The only reason I hesitated moving from winmo to android was because of scilors apps. For now I have a vip membership but i will definitely be keeping a test version of this on my phone as well. I wish I had a spare android device to send him.
Thank you for the "device" , but I managed to get Android working on my HD2.
Which Apps are you exactly missing on Android?

Sound Box
It reacts on a shaking and makes your phone act as a bell, drum, rattle, wind chimes and other such a stuff. It's a toy for fun. Some users noted that children also love it.
So shake your phone, have fun!
The goal
Actually the initial idea came from my friend. She said: it would be cool if you'll shake your phone and it will sound like a junk in a metal box or like a broken device. Totally broken. Later me and my friends came up with an invention to add a bell, maracas and more. When I started, the main goal was to make an app that authentically behave like a rattle, a bell, etc. I tried to get a realistic reaction to the phone shaking. Among other things, different sounds for different strength of shaking - just like real things. Hope I've succeeded.
Variations
There are two versions: lite and full. Lite version contains limited set of sound themes. For now there are small bell, darbuka and "digital" sound (simple sine harmonics). Full one is a set of about 20 sound themes. There are, in addition to lite ones, metal and bamboo wind chimes, maracas, rattlesnake, jingle bells, tin can with junk (yeah that junk from the initial idea) and much more. For now full version is paid.
Requirements
- Android 1.5+.
- No additional permissions required.
Notes
The application locks most of the buttons by default. You could switch it off: see Menu -> Settings for details!

Yeah, why not. Actually there was an idea to make it possible for users to create sound themes by themself and share it with anyone. Right now I finishing my first game. After it possibly I'll made it.
Anyway I'll try to record some nice guitar sound and add it to the existing set.
C'mon guys, just tell what you think! Is it good? Is it bad? Is it boring? Just anything... How do you think, what would be great to add/change here?
Well, ok...

Yeah, may be, I'm not sure (that somebody will shake the phone so far as to damage it). Anyways, it's not necessary to shake it too hard. There is a setting of the sensitivity in the application. But maybe you're right. Maybe I'll add a warning to the application's description. Just in case.
Sorry mate with respect have to give this the thumbs down, i was expecting at leaast 10/15 different sounds not just 3,my young son might like it if there were some cartoon noises but only 3 uninstalled..sorry.
i'll try.
seems nice
The Note's screen is large enough that in landscape, split in half, each side is still larger than many phone screens I've used before, including smart phones. I'd really like to be able to do split screen multitasking. Has anyone made something like this yet? Sure, the resolution of each half would be a little weird at 800x640, but doesn't ICS alleviate resolution issues? I'd love to be able to use each side as a separate monitor.
If not, perhaps it could be split into two 800x480 screens with a strip of controls in the center. Or split into 800x800 and 800x480. Should be easy to adapt graphics for 800x800.
This is something I'd really like, so if it's not done already, someone please do it! Should I repost this in development? It may be more involved than just creating an app.
... very good question
I think the easiest solution is using a remote log in app with your computer.
The Note's screen in half equals to two 3.62" of 640x800 screens! That's 2 iPhone screens and more!
I'm sure the text/icons will be way more readable/viewable that the "mock-up" below..

is there any app which do that...?
This is not trivial as it may sound on Android.
According to Android concepts, there may only be one Activity* in the foreground.
Other pop ups and menus are not full blown activities. Android manages all the Activities.
Activities that are not in the foreground are closed to free memory up.
The only way I can see without modifying android is to find some way the widgetify an android activity so it is treated as a widget. This way you can place two apps as widgets next to each other and even resize them as you like.
* An android activity is a java class extending the Activity class, managed by android window manager.

Have you also tried the same developers calculator named AirCalc.
It works on the same principle and is great when you need a calculator with another App ~ i.e. EasyMoney & AirCalc.
I think better than splitting the screen into 2 would be if we can push the output via MHL to a screen and move an app there, how one can do on a PC with 2 monitors.
So watch a movie on the TV/monitor and text or use the phone on its native display.
Onskreen Cornerstone makes three windows for multitasking. It currently only works on Motorola Xoom. But it is open source and has to be incorporated into ROM. I hope some clever developer can adapt this for GNote*. Check out

Starcraft is working fine with this. It's amazing it is running at full speed
The only problem I encountered so far, is that protoss zealots are invisible due to some graphical bug. Their shadow can be seen however.
Overall, this has really high potential and I've seen on the forums that Age of empires is already in the making for it.
Good job!
I find it outstanding how the Devs managed to write an emulator? that runs so smoothly, im gobsmacked that it involves x86 games, windows no less, looking at the videos it runs better then some retro emulators like dosbox and the like, even though dos is an older system, and these windows games being more graphic intensive, in my opinion this guys project has major potential
I often wonder if he's found the mecha of android emulation in its effiency or if it just applies in this particular case, being windows emulation only?

Anybody knows anyone who has updated/hacked Winulator to work on Lollipop and/or Marshmallow?
