For some reason I can't delete/edit some of the default bookmarks after clearing my browser data cache, anyone know where they're stored so I can delete them manually?
Just visit said bookmark, then go to your history, and click the one that has the star lit up next to it. This will allow you to delete the factory bookmarks.
Genius!

How do i save like for example my contacts and stuff... i alwaise like testing new roms and kernels and i alwasie have to add all my contacts again. can someone do a step by step on how to do that?? it would be a lot of help
Titanium backup will save your contacts wifi hot spots bluetooth pairings and all application data and other useful things. There is a free and a pro version. The free only allows one backup of everything. Just open the app and click on the backup restore tab and long press the items and select backup or you can press menu and do a batch backup. You dont really need to back system elements unless they are things you modified.

You can also export your contacts to your SD card, then reimport through the contacts app. I have all of mine backed up with google now, so whenever I reflash it automatically sync's from there (instead of having to use my contacts backup/titanium to restore)

So this is actually what I was going to start a thread on. What directory are contacts stored under? My phones already rooted.

Just go to your contacts, hit menu, and then chose export. No need to root to do this. It's a pretty basic function of the phone.
Lol I was looking through plenty of folders.

I have noticed the stock browser has more problems when the cache reaches 25M or higher. So I do clear the cache quite regularly. The problem is that if I go back to a page I have visited before I can still see what links I have been to. You have to clear all data which also deletes all the bookmarks. I think this is really stupid & one more failure of the stock browser. Is there a way to clear all cache, history, cookies, & other garbage without deleting my bookmarks.
I just go into settings, privacy and security and delete cache, history, ect....

If you disable the Google Photo sync to remove Picasa albums, you loose Google+ upload photos function.
I have the same problem. I tried deleting some of the pictures straight from Picasa and now , where I deleted the photos I get blank spots in my phone's gallery . Also, as you stated disabling the sync seem not to work.
If somebody has found a solution we're waiting for an answer.

Use this one instead the original. First make backup of the original app, then push it with the ADB.
Can you please let us know what edits were made to this apk?

As long as you stopped Google photo sync, try clear cache in Google+ in setting will have picasa albums cleared.
I had this problem as well, after a bit of googling here's what I did and it worked for me (I was offline during this process!):
1. stop google photo sync in accounts & sync settings
2. go into the app drawer and drag the google+ app to the top where it says view app info
3. force stop it and clear data
4. do the same for the gallery app
after that I restarted the google+ app and restored my settings (keeping photo sync off when it asks you on startup of course) and the picassa albums were gone!

I unselected the photosync from account and mounted as USB. Then when to android folder and then to Gallery 3D. Then I went to cache and deleted the files that had picasa in it and unmounted the phone. Then went to gallery from manage apps and deleted data and cache and voila ! =)
1. Make sure your "Google photos" option in "Accounts and Sync" is unchecked.
2. Go to Settings > apps > All Apps > Gallery. Now hit the "Clear data" button
3. Go to Settings > apps > All Apps > Google+. Now hit the "Clear data" button
4. Go to the Gallery app and hit the menu key and refresh.
5. Your albums won't go away immediately. Patience.
I got same problem, here my solution,
Remove that account (after sync all contents you want).
Disable Sync.
Add your account back.
Enable Sync and then fast disable Google-Photo sync in that account.

Cheers, worked a treat!
Or
simply observe Sync 'on', delete album from g+, re-sync, turn off sync.
Any solution which doesn't include turning off Google Photo synch?
For normal galleries, adding a .nomedia file in the directory would normaly do the trick.
Does someone know where the picasa pics are stored in the phone? (they're accessible offline too, right?)
I am trying to figure out how to clear the app data settings for the stock clipboard app.
I use Netmemo for voice memos. I love it. But I accidentally changed the default action for a voice memo to go to the "clipboard", rather than "email". I've cleared the Netmemo app data a few times, even deleted and reinstalled the app. The problem persists. The Netmemo help desk tells me that the only way to fix the problem is to clear the settings for the clipboard app. The tell me the clipboard app "owns" the Netmemo event.
I don't have any idea how to do that. I don't know the "name" of the clip board app to even clear the settings from.
I even downloaded a new clipboard app. It does the same thing.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
George

Only way that worked for me was to install Andmade Share, use it once, then uninstall and my clipboard default was cleared

In the OnePluss gallery app, the camera folder and pictures are missing also in Photos(Google). The only was I can see the pictures that I have take is if I go to File manager and navigate to the camera folder DCIM. This started a few weeks ago, I have try all basics with the exception of a factory reset. Has anyone see this problem?
I chat with OnePlus support but they suggested to do a factory reset and I am trying not to do that. Searching did not got me anywhere. Any help I can get will be much appreciate it.

Strange. Maybe try to wipe data and cache for the Gallery app. It shouldn't affect your photos to do so. But backup your photos, just in case (as you always should for any data that is important to you, anyway).

Already try that, I first try wiping the cache for the gallery app and then wipe all the cache for the phone.
There are no pending updates.

Wiped app data as well? This would be "Clear storage" in OOS Settings>Apps & notifications>Gallery>Storage & cache.
Wiping cache usually doesn't do much. Wiping app data on the other hand, I've found helpful in some instances, such as to clear up sync issues on Gmail.

Do your pics show up in any other photo app, like Google Photos (install if not already)?

No, they do not
This happened to me at Christmas, I was out trying to upload a picture to Instagram and it wouldn't work so I thought it was a problem with the app but no phone deleted 100s of pictures and no new photos would save so had to factory reset
have you managed to resolve non-display images to the gallery? it's always nothing to me
Hello,
I just have the same issue with my OnePlus 5 with Android 10.
The gallery is empty, but all my photos are still in the phone and save on google cloud.
I can find them with a file manager app, I am even able to open them with the gallery app but not with google photo.
I can find the new photos in the file manager but they are not saved into the cloud.
Do you resolved the issue without a factory reset?
All my photos are in my gallery. Only issues I'm having is every time I download pictures background. Any screenshots I have to hunt them up to share. My actual camera taken photos are in my gallery butt that's it's
Just wipe data & cache from Media storage(app) and reboot.
If that doesn't work search for hidden file called ".nomedia" in your storage, that file prevents the system from searching for image or video files

I was having this problem since the Android 12 upgrade yesterday. I found them in Albums > More Albums > Other. My folders used to be the default view when I opened the Gallery app but that option appears to be gone now. Utter garbage.
