Enyone has an idea why this is happening? configuration? .
Pleas help

This has gotten even more weird.
With wifi the web pages open ok but with the 3G network they dont.
This all with the captivate browser, with the opera everithing is ok (but I like the original browser more)
Here are some pics One with WIFI(page ok) the other with 3G (page not ok)
I have Auto fit checked
text zize medium
no landscame only( thw problem does not fix)
I have reseted my phone, nothing
I have restore setting on the browser, nothing.
Please help.

I had a bug that caused that to happen. Not sure if its the same case with you but my phone on 3g kept thinking i was pinch zooming out....

Did you try clearing out all of the browser's data? Delete cookies, history, and in Settings--Applications clear the data out as well. That has helped me in the past when the browser would keep FC'ing.

I have Tried all of that,
I have restored my phone to factory settings, I have restore factory settings on the browser, have delleted all data of the browser (settings-aplications-manage aplications-menu-filter all-browser-delet data)
Nothing of the above has fixed the problem.
Please help.
Robert.

I don't know, but the first screen shot looks suspiciously like the "Mobile View (GWT)" mode in Dolphin Browser. Not sure how all this stuff works but maybe proxy / APN settings somehow set up to push all pages to you in a condensed "mobile" form when you're on 3G?

I too think that the view on 3G network is maybe set to be movil view but I don´t know where to change this.
does enyone know where to check the actual consifuration, I checked my apn and nothing.
Thanks.
Robert.

internet/data issues with flashed tilt

I flashed my tilt to an htc rom and I'm now having problems getting on the internet. Is there some place where i could find a cab file with at&t settings or anywhere I could find the settings and enter them by hand. thanks
still looking. thought I found a solution but it was for hermes.
try this network config...
thanks a lot. that seems to have done the trick.
turns out it didnt fix the problem. i can connect to the web via PIE but for some reason I can't get either gmail or windows live to connect. I don't know why it would work for some but not others.
Same problem
I am having the same issues too. IE and outlook mailbox can connect without any problem to the internet. Gmap too.
However, I am having problem with fring and skype applications. Anyone experiencing this issue?
I have flashed my Tilt with the original HTC Kaiser rom.
i think i might have the solution for ya...change the isp.cingular to wap.cingular
I'm having all sorts of problems, too. Very odd. I don't understand how it can work one minute, then not the next.
One thing that has seemed to help is to use the advanced configuration tool to keep the connection active all the time.
It's under Connections > Connection Always On.
Keep in mind, I had to choose MEdia Net. When I chose "My ISP GPRS", I couldn't connect at all....
I'm having the same issue. I didnt notice it until now with Fring. Over WIFI it works, over 3g it says cannot find internet.
I checked and my settings are already on the wap.
So other ideas?
I've also been having intermittent luck with the settings on my TILT flashed to HTC ROM.
One way I got around it for a while, was to connect to Pocket Internet Explorer to get the connection setup, then hop on Google Maps/MS Live Search/etc.
I also had this problem with MiniMo and Opera for a while. Eventually it all just worked itself out I guess. Also, make sure your 'proxy' settings don't get messed up. Sometimes I'll go into the connection settings and the "This connection uses a proxy" is checked... I'll go back in later, and it won't be. Not sure what the conflict is.

Here is a solution.
When you create settings using the Wizard it puts 2 connections. 1 MY ISP and the other MEdia Net.
GO to Settings -- Connections -- Connections -- Advanced -- Select Networks -- First drop down box make sure that My ISP is selected then click ok up top.
Try it and see if it works now.
If it doesnt select MEdia Net as the default connection and edit it, remove proxy and see if it works now. If still no luck remove MEdia Net from one of the connections, by managing existing connections tap and hold and then click delete. Then set MY ISP as the default connection in advance --select networks.
Good Luck.
That took care of it..
Actually what took care of it was going into the media net settings and unclicking the proxy settings..
It was using a proxy to connect but no server in the box. I clicked and whammo works now!
Thanx
same issue
Just wanted to mention had the same issue (particularly with skype) and made the change mentioned further up in the post about changing the connection setting from isp. to wap. and now skype works like a charm, thanks!
please help me aswel
i had my tytn ii , unlocked from orange and am now using o2, gprs aint workin, dno wots up, iv spent hours surfin the web and entered tonnes of variations of the manual grps settings ie access point name = ... username password . neway these didnt work! phoned o2 they said they dont have the settings to send me. can ne1 help?

Opera Mini works but not PIE?

Since my first ROM flash (and who knows maybe before that) I have had tremendously hard time getting PIE to connect to the internet. What's strange is that after I install opera MINI it connects and loads pages no problem despite the fact that PIE loads nothing.
I need to download some files and I've tried:
-rebooting phone
-deleting cookings
-deleting files
-deleting history
I'm using the WAP.cingular settings because the ISP.cingular really don't seem to work at all (PIE doesn't work in either - I THINK MINI only works with WAP settings).
I have the Cingular Personal unlimited DATA with the 1500 text messages.
Any ideas why PIE is so problematic
Thanks
Did you registry edit any of the cache or history, etc to the card? If so, move it back to the original settings.

No, I have the same problem.
Opera Mini works fine but PIE does nothing. I don't have any clue why.

I can ONLY get online with PIE and not with any other app (Sling Player, Google Maps, Opera, etc). I don't know why, either. I hadn't changed a thing. It just started happening tonight and it's happening on my Tilt and the wife's Blackjack. Makes no sense whatsoever...
What network are you on, and where?
I called this evening, and from what i understood, ATT had been having data network issues since the afternoon
This has been happening for me either since day one or since my first Dutty ROM.
Here's what I've observed:
with WIFI only I get PIE to work
with Data connection only I get Opera MINI, IM+ to work
IM+ and Opera WILL NOT work with WIFI connection
Something is miffed?
Try enabling the "Hidden Proxy", and try using the browsers again.
Then Disable it, and do the same test. post your results.
My data connection was only working through medianet with the Proxy enabled. I hard reset, and reinstalled everything from scratch (something i was planning on doing), and now my medianet works without the proxy again.
Yeah, this happened to me last week. I installed the hidden proxy app to work with CingularVideo.cab and I could only connect through programs other than PIE.
I went into
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings"
and changed "EnableAutoDetect" to "1".
Not sure if this will help, but it's an option for you.
Just checked- don't have that registry entry. just httpproxy (1) and some other settings nothing about proxy auto detect or anything close though. Checked all subfolders
Still no solution, any thoughts dutty?

Problem with Opera

Has anyone noticed issues with browsing on opera? The first couple of web pages load fine but then after clicking a few links and seeing the pages, subsequent links just freeze, sometimes after a while you do get some kind of a "page cannot be displayed message" but not always, most of the times it just sits there.
Exiting the browser and relaunching it seems to work but the same problem comes up after browsing a few pages.
This seems to only happen whilst using GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA on O2 UK, WiFi is fine!
Your input would be highly appreciated!
Same Problem to my Device. HTC Touch Pro on o2 Germany.
It seems that there is a Problem with switching from UMTS to HSDPA. The Raphael only activates HSDPA when its really needed.
First I tought it is a problem with HSUPA because in Germany o2 don't have HSUPA at the moment. So I only activated HSDPA. But the only way to fix the problem with Opera I found:
Deactivate HSDPA/HSUPA. Only use UMTS (3G).
Its Way slower, but Opera needs time to display a webpage, so that the speed increasement is only noticable when downloading files...
Its not a very nice solution, but the only way I found until now.
Sorry for my poor english...
Daniel
Nice one Daniel, I'll give this a try. It seems that only O2 UK has this problem, I will test with other networks and post my results also. Many thanks for your advice!
I can also vouch for this i'm also on o2 UK and have had my touch pro for 6 weeks and was getting so annoyed with the lousy internet browsing which was a big reason for me getting the phone in the first place. the phone was constantly freezing after 2-3-4 maybe 5 at best web pages and even then it wasn't at a consistent speed, i first thought it was the phone but no one else seemed to be complaining so then i thought it coud be the data connection settings might be incorrect being the phone isn't endorsed by o2 but couldn't find nothing wrong there so eventually like yourself i found turning off of the HSDPA/HSUPA
settings-connections-advanced network-HSDPA/HSUPA = disable
solved everything and even though i may not be getting 3.5G speeds its a lot faster then my Nokia N95 ever was at loading web pages.
I'd be interested to know how you found the performance on other networks (I've only got o2 sims so cant try another network) from what I've gathered o2 inst that great when it comes to data/speed and there 3.5g is pretty flaky I expect this is what's coursing the problem and not the phone itself

unfortunately I cannot try other networks as my SIMs are not registering anymore. However, you are right, having tested the above solution, its much better. We shouldn't have to do this, period. Have you tried only switching off HSUPA? I'm about to do the same, lets share the findings...
right, hopefully this would be the same for everyone else on O2 using the Touch Pro. Using only 3g works and setting it to only HSDPA also works. HSDPA/HSUPA is what causes the problems... Let me know if anyone else finds anything different...
Hi I've not had any issues with Opera with HSDPA/HSUPA still enabled - have you tried increasing the settings/advanced/cache size?
I increased mine to 10000kb
my problem is that Opera displays very poorly - i have to constantly zoom and drag the page around...
and the stupid soft keyboard won't stop popping up even though i thought i had disabled it (SIP settings)
and it always goes back to portrait mode - unless the keyboard is open it won't stay still!

help ASAP

my problem is my webbroswers *both IE and Opera* does not connect to my cellar internet but only wifi
every other internet app works, Youtue, google map, etc Myphone seems to partly work but i think get stuck when sync'ing my contacts could be a bug with myphone so am discussing this with they expert team
so can anyone expalin why my web broswers is not working?
P.S Skyfire Beta works
Device = ATT Fuze
Rom = NATF v4.4 Fuze Edition
I've never had this problem, but then again never flashed one of NATF's roms. Try posting this question in the NATF rom thread. Good luck
every rom i tried this happen, atomic, NATF, Monex, etc
go to connection settings turn off the proxy check box
proxy is off, i dont like using proxy i live NYC by the way
What have you tried to solve the problem?
A soft reset?
Maybe you have nodata running, or forgot to activate the GPRS/3G connection before uninstalling it.
i tried 3 different rom, soft and hard reset, i tried the hidden proxy cab and remove proxy cab, tried manually setting the proxy, changing the default connection in the connection setting and all seem to not work
I must say this is a problem I haven't really read about yet (new to posting on the forum but not from reading)
If you do install nodata (cab on request), maybe you can check if the phone's data connection is enabled?
Maybe there are other factors then the forementioned program that can affect that setting.
It is a weird problem however, since other apps do have internet...
What if you start GoogleMaps to get the connection going, then open the browser. Does that let the browser connect?
it is very strange and what is this no data cab u mention
i have also used skype and it works, it kinda sucks that am limited to one broswer and thats skyfire, since its a beta also its not the greatest, my only other option is to turn on the wifi, connect to a access point and then it works, other than that i get opera nor IE to work which is very puzzling
also when i tap my h icon in the task bar it says am connected to medianet but it doesnt load

Nodata is an application that detects (GPRS/3G) dataconnections on your telephone and can switc them on or off.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=151212&d=1233148782
Because the other apps on your telephone do have internet, the chance of this thing working is very slim.
Good luck tough...
youtube is processing my vid, i will post the link a lil bit later
and i dont think that nodata stuff will work due to the fact that it might actually detect a internet connection like the rest of my applications but wont be able to figure out why just IE and Opera dont work.
ok as promise here is the link to the vid

look to the end of the vid where u see i put the wifi on and try to load opera and it works

Ok, I didnt see a connection setup wizard on your phone? Did you run that on setup during the initial boot over your phone. I would recommend running that again....I really didnt see it, which is odd did you do something with it?
Second, when you went into connections...then when you see media net click on proxy settings, make sure there is a check box on this network connects to the internet. and make sure the next box is not checked and there is nothing in the box....
this is a fuze edition rom so i guess thats why NATF left it out since fuze is orginally att. and is proxy a must cuz i tried using proxy before but it didnt work.
cant someone help me?
try going to your comm manager and disabling your data connection. This should disconnect you. After that, re-enable it and see what happens.

Facebook/ Instagram apps wont load photos on wifi??

Anyone having this issue. Not exactly sure what changed in my wifi setup but in the facebook and instagram apps photos in my feed wont load. When i switch over to mobile data or use the web page in the browser over wifi they load fine. For some reason my wifi does not play nice with instagram and facebook apps. This is on my galaxy s4 but have tried several different devices and they all have the same issue.
Has anyone run into this problem? Tried searched and found some people who had the opposite issue with it not loading over mobile data but havent found a thread on this. Thanks for any tips.
I am having the exact same issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the exact same issue, its seem to be a router problem, my newsfeed load fine one 4g and other wifi (i have a galaxy s2), but on my home wifi the newsfeed for facebook or instagram won't load, my sister is also experiencing the same problem with here galaxy S......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
FYI: i've tried restarting the router, upgrading the firmware which didn't work. also before i realized it was just the router i've tried force closing, clearing the cache and restarting the phone, i've also uninstall and reinstall the app several times.
I had a similar problem but I sorted it out today on my Nexus 4. My problem was, the default gateway on my phone was different from what it has to be for that specific wifi network.
In windows one can check the default gateway by running command prompt (cmd) and typing ipconfig.
On your phone you also have to check the advanced settings for that wifi network that you have problems with.
I set the Ip settings to static from DHCP and entered the default gateway values from my pc to my phone. You can also get another ip for your phone in that advanced settings tab if you think there may be an ip conflict but as I told, my problem was the differing default gateway values. I haven't changed the DNS which was google dns by default.
Key thing was the default gateway values for me and I'm hoping this will help many of you.
Problem Fix
if ur Instagram installed on ur sdCard then just move it to ur mobile memory it's 101% working
