Sometimes ago I was able to listen google navigator in my preferred language (italian). I remember I downloaded some TTS file and language from the market.
Now I'm not able to listen navigator other than english which I think is default.
What to change setting? I can't find anything useful in google maps/navigator setting.
Are you sure you don't have modded version? If you see "Brut mod" in app menu, then yes.

A: They are forced to "en_US" to guess turn symbols from them. You could disable this feature in BrutMod menu, but you will lost turn symbols.

Thanks a lot!
Is it useful to you?
Is it only T9 (SMS?) or does it affect the whole word completition?

Great, indeed, there it shows dutch and it works! Thnx mate!
Thanks to Apple, Samsung devices have lost their universal search [searching google, local apps, local contacts, etc.]
I tried this solution on my GS3 and on my N8013 and it brought back the functionality.
I take no credit, all credit goes to XDA's eyecon82.
I'm just letting you US-WIFI-only owners know that it works.
It's very useful for me.
As eyecon82 said himself in this POST:
1) Download the apk at the beginning of this thread, place it on your SDcard (or phone) where you'll find it easily.
2) Install root explorer (or equivalent, I used root explorer though)
3) Go to /system/app and mount as R/W
4) move GoogleQuickSearch.apk somewhere else, just so you have it if you need to restore it
5) Go to where you placed the full-featured apk, copy/move it to /system/app
6) Long-Click on GoogleQuickSearch.apk, select permissions, and set to rw-r--r-- (ie, row 1: yes yes no, row 2: yes no no, row 3: yes no no)
7) Hit okay, mount R/O, and quit
8) Go to Settings > Application Manager > All
9) Select Google Search, and clear data/cache
10) Select Google Services Framework, clear data/cache
11) Reboot
12) ???
13) Profit!!!

Nice. Thanks.
Although this will probably get moved to apps and themes section. I dunno.
yea, i guess. i usually don't post.
I wouldn't know in what section to post this.
This just gave me a reason to root. Thanks man!
Moved To Themes & Apps
As Nefariouss pointed out, this should be in the themes & apps section.

Hello everybody,
since the upgrade to Android 6 I had problem with the Google keyboard, basically I can't choose any language but English (US) and Tibetan!
I tried to download old versions of Google keyboard through APKmirror but the only result is that I don't get anymore Tibetan as option.
Logcat doesn't give any useful information.
Upgrading another H60-L12 of a friend we encountered the very same issue.

I need at least Italian, but I was used to have few other languages that I use less often
and I'm studying. It's very strange that I can't see the other dictionaries...
Of course now I'm using SwiftKey but I prefer gboard, I find it much more faster and comfortable.
I got the same problem. It's crashing when I try to access the settings.
I use German and English. But when I'm typing only English dictionary is available although I see "DE EN" in the space bar.
But I cannot switch between these languages.
I've also installed APK manually but this didn't help either.
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
From Gboard
Hold the comma key.
Select languages.
Turn off Use System Language.
Select the language you need
Hold space bar to select languages
Quite surprising you're getting only two language options. Not so for me. I'm using H60 L04

I've done as described. I can switch now language but the dictionary is still English only.
When I hold comma key and select Gboard settings and try to get into menu item "settings" then it crashes again. The same when I try to access "advanced settings".
So Gboard is still failing.

I use standard ROM, no custom ROM.
Updated via OTA
Android 6
Build H60-L04C432B860
So why should the standard ROM not have built in the languages?
That u cant say. Couldn't find a way to add languages too. You should stick to other keyboards then. Try Xperia keyboard. It's nice

The latest version that I see on the play store has been published on 10 Jan and it has the problem described at the beginning.
I found a newer version (not sure about the origin, it has a different icon) on apkmirror but it has problems with the resolution and in any case the dictionary problem is still there.
Did you find a working version?
Are we getting Google assistant like the other OEMs ? Any news regarding a possible update ?
We already have it...
The US has Google Assistant and if you are in a country that is not English, set your language to English(US) and you will have it.

Seems to be sticking in UK now too. Previously, changing language back from USA meant assistant dropped after a few hours. But I've had it for a few days now with UK set as language preference.

Can't find setting to disable it. Anyone know if there is a package spesific for that function so I can disable it?
1) tell your brain to miss that icon ( work for me )
2) close your eyes and click any icons ( u can get it after 20 attempts )
3) install OnePlus Gallery ( almost the same as Samsung Gallery )
