So I just took the new Gmail2.3.apk and added the blue png files to it. If you have a blue theme then go head and download it. I did not theme the files just copied them from my old Gmail2.2.apk so I take no credit for the blue files. It does work great I have just redone this apk. It now has more blue Icons and it is signed and zipaligned. I have also attached new screen shots. I could not get a screen shot of all the icons but there is alot of blue

Credit goes to Drukan for themeing ths blue .png files. I forgot to include the credit before
Thanks, could you please include screenshots?
Edit: thanks for the screen!
Hatman are these from my 2.2 gmail, or someone elses... i havent gotten around to theming the new gmail, but if this is the same blue (as in hue /shade) ill just install yours.
edit: nevermind... shoulda looked at the pix.. Thanx for updating the new one!

Yep they are yours I just added them to the new Gmail.apk.
I flashed the first blue theme and love it. I flashed this one on the latest vision of g mail and it doesn't work. I am running the leaked 2.2. Any suggestions?

Interesting. It works fine for me. Does it FC?
No fc. If I open the scouts and chose anaccount it highlights blue. If I am in an account and hit the account bar on to right its green....

It appears as though it did not update the gmail.apk for you. I checked mine and everything is blue. I see no green in it anywhere. I would flash it again as mine is working correctly.
I did and it still doesn't work. I assume that I flashed in recovery and not hh boot, right. I deleted the ad free ap p to o since I did them the same time...... Thinking maybe there was a conflict. Everything else is blue so I am still pretty pleased.....

I would not think so but I am not 100% sure. I am not a programmer. I just copied some blue .png files to the apk and repackages it and signed and zipaligned it. I just created a dif color blue one and it works also so not sure what is up with your ROM.

Loving Froyo but missing the black noti bar and icons. Anybody got any that are compatible? please share thanks!
EDIT: Many users managed to get morphs working, HOWEVER the text color mods are currently not working therefore black stat/noti bars will have unreadable black text (clock, operator). Old morphs will work, you will need to remove the services folder from your morph and edit the thm/xml accordingly. I will be posting my morph which is a black stat & noti bar after a few tweaks.
i think i read somewhere metamorph does not work in froyo, needs update.
but the good old update.zip way should work. the rom needs to be deodexed. paul will do this next week. but it would be nice, if someone could deodex classes.odex from framework services.jar, so we are able to mod the status bar. found some info about this on smali/backsmali developer page but wos afraid to do something wrong. could an expert have a look on this?
[request] deodex framework files

the older version of metamorp with .thm files is working fine in my froyo.. i have change the top bar , the launcher icon and he power widge.. setcpu will not work (name of app has changed).. also my remove dots on lock screen morph works under foryo

can someone sign this to flash it via amon-ra?
signed to install from RA recovery
The black bar works great, but it doesn't change text color in stock FRF83.
Any fix to have white text in the status bar?
Works perfectly on Modaco R19
Many thanks

thx
edit: confirmed, works flawless on modaco r19.. the black on grey notifications might not be perfect for everyone, i like it
I got it working by pushing services.jar and framework-res.apk to /system/framework on the deodexed FRF83 that paulobrien recently posted. It works great!
One caveat though...is there a way to change the notification text color to white as well? The clock text is white, but incoming sms shows up black and I don't know how to edit services.jar....

Anyone knows a black bar that works 100% with trackball alert and does not disable the alert while screen is on.

You could always just install asimROM

Someone flash it and test it.
UPDATE: I flashed it. Everything worked like it should except for some text, aside from what can be changed in the Cyanogen settings, is black and needs to be changed to white. I honestly don't know how to do that... Maybe someone can enlighten me or they can do it themselves. Either way I'll be back on here tomorrow night around this time.

Actually not every version works seamlessly with Heroc 2.2. If you are using Darch's RC1, try the BXN-Destiny_08152010 version. That was the one that worked for me.

small edits to framework
a few more edits to market removed heavy cyan border

I all depends on the size of the icons. You can use xhdpi icons, but they'll be to big for the status bar. I haven't found away to adjust the icons in the xml's as of yet, still looking. That bugs me as well especially the "3G". All in all unless you have ICS the icons will continue to look this way.

No, i dont think so. You have to consider that each icon has a designated space mandated in the XML's or smali about 38x38 or so. You want to find that line and change it to read something like 38x20 or what ever you want. It would read something like <FrameLayout android:layout_width="20.0dip" android:layout_height="25.0dip". I've tried changing "status_bar_icon.xml" to no avail.

Hmm, I can't seem to get this to work right. I'm using the R800x locked bootloader, 2.3.3. I have the file on my sdcard and renamed it update.zip. Through the CWM recovery, I flash the zip file. It runs and finishes rather quickly. When it reboots, I get stuck in a bootloop. Am I missing something or doing something wrong that might be causing this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You don't need to rename it , just choose "install zip from sdcard" option. Sorry, I dont know why your bootlooping
EDIT: i just downloaded the theme from the link and it installed just fine.
Are you downloading from your phone?
If so please download from a pc, and try again

Downloaded the file from my PC and transferred it to my sd card. Installed from the zip file in CWM recovery. Appeared to install. Restarted my phone. Bootloop again. Beyond me why it's not working. Could there be anything that would interfere with the theme? Apps or anything of the like?
Thanks for the help

None that I'm aware of , all the apk's in the theme are stock, just modified. I pull them from the 2.3.3 system dump. I have to admit that this is a bit baffling to me.

Have you tried my other themes. You can see if they work and then try to flash this theme on top of it.

This ICS theme worked fine.

Yours looked like it may have corrected the minor visual problems this one had. I'll give a shot at re-installing this one and putting yours on top to see if that works. I'll let you know.
EDIT: Ok, the old ICS theme still works.
Out of curiosity, I checked out what the difference between the two themes were. What are the apks in the app folder within your zip?
EDIT2: Worked! You were right. I had to install that old ICS theme down first before yours worked. Wonder why that would work...oh well.

One thing I've noticed is that using my music players (built-in music and playerpro), the text of the song title in the notification bar is black, so it's unreadable.
But so far, awesome job, man.

Hmm, I know that old ICS theme had that black text issue with the MUSIC.apk. Wonder if it carried over into your theme, maybe?
