So I Bought A 3000mAh Cameron Sino Battery.... - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

Hey guys, I bought the 3000mAh Cameron Sino battery on ebay for £12.50 and I love it! been using it for almost a week now and got nothing but good words for it. I got twice as much usage compared to the original battery. I am a power user and in 15hours I still got around 60% juice left, when the original battery usually had gone 0. Sure it's thicker and heavier but I prefer to have a thicker and heavier phone than a dead one! I can play with the phone as much as I want now and use those lovely live wallpapers! And I actually have a much better grip of the phone now. One minor gripe though is that the new battery cover causes the photos to have a dark grey colour on the corners like a pin hole effect. This is not the case for videos though.

I´ll rather have my phone slim and light. I´ll just keep an extra battery in my jacket for once it runs out =)

Hey can you post the link?
I can't seem to find it on ebay.ca

Do you have any pictures on how much larger it makes the phone?

sorry but it's on ebay.co.uk. the sellers name is gpsforless, they delivered it to me next day for free.

I charge the phone daily and sometimes once again midday if I run low while at work. Even though battery life is really poor, it has not been much of a problem for me yet. Since usually I'm always near a power source (home, work and Car). I also have a spare which I take if I think I'll be away from a power source for long. But so far I have not even once used the spare, because when I'm out (over the weekends or generally out with friends etc..) I don't use the phone as much. So it works out for me perfectly. . I don't have 20 home screen widgets pulling lot of crap off the net, have the Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth radios off unless I'm navigating. So the battery lasts when I'm not using it.
Here is a video of another extended battery (Mugen Power 3200mAh) for those who are interested in seeing how it looks on the phone (seek to 0:50). Personally I wouldn't buy anything like that, its too bulky and makes the phone look really ugly , YUCK !.
EDIT :
Now something like this on the other hand is more attractive than using an ugly extended battery. It gives you more power when needed, but don't have to have it always installed. Probably a better idea than carrying an extended battery (except for the size), since you don't have to switch off the phone and swap batteries , just plug this thing in when your battery is low .

And why should you care how your mobile looks?
I've personally been considering buying a bigger battery, but might settle on an external battery pack instead (as i need more battery power only in extreme circumstances, other times I generally have a charger or computer cable accessible)

Cheaper alternative
I got this from play.com
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Ele..._$ja=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:16151351|cat:Chargers
Its only 5£ and does not reuire any battery removal. Simply clip on when required. Also comes with a car charger and multiple heads...All for 5£. I just carry it with me in case I run out and its more versatile and useable than standalone accesories.

Must admit, i am tempted with this. I don't get a full day's use out of my Galaxy S with my usage, so it is mighty tempting!

I've 'bitten the bullet' and purchased one. Maybe i'll get a full day's use out of my phone now before a charge is needed!

Just noticed this thread.
I also have the 3000mah battery.
Here's a copy/paste edited and joined few my own post's from another topic.
"Ha ha,battery sure if fat. The back cover snaps on fine and power, volume,USB connector port are as easy to access as before.
The cover it itself though does look and feel cheap and plasticy, but thats to be expected for the cheap price.
(Actually when I took off the original I notice it feels just as cheap...lol. Just more classy looking cause of the carbon fiber type pattern on it)
Almost looks like it was cut out from some hard packing plastic tray.Doesnt look so bad when its attached to the phone, shiny black.
Over all though Im glad I got it. Its not something Id use every day but it will be handy for when you havent got spare battery on you,or dont wanna change the battery. Or you cant use a charger.
First charge to about 5 hours.(with wall charger). But then I dunno how much power was in when I unpacked it so I guess a more accurate time for charging may be the next time I charge it.
Looks a bit weird, almost like a diff phone.
Here's few pics I took.

am using a portable charger for my phone and so far so good

IT LOOKS LIKE A F***ING BRICK.
If you drop it on your foot you will need to go emergency.

I've been using a 12v Lion battery pack off ebay, about 100mm x 75mm x 20mm.
It has a 12 DC out jack and a standard full size USB port you can plug in your usual SGS USB lead for a 5v charge output. Has a proper on/off switch and even incorporates a small LED flash-light/torch in one end.
You can use it as a back up, a charger or just an extended pack. Yes it's bulky, but it gives a pretty good extra capacity, at 5v it's rated at 4800 mAh.
Just doing an extra test, running media player and co-pilot GPS with the screen on and it's maintaining charge and I think actually charging albeit slowly.
Obviously has the benefit that you can use it for anything that will charge off USB and even run 12V appliances (only 1500mAh at 12V however, but will run an air-bed inflater enough to give you a good nights sleep).
Phil

also those speaker and camera holes are useless. the camera most likely wont work correctly and you will get a picture of part of the hole as well as echo from the speaker..
just use wall chargers with extra batteries and keep an extra battery in your pocket like i always do... one reason this version is better than iphone.. ie replaceable batteries

it doesn't look as bad as the Magnum one
but it does looks very heavy to me
after putting the back battery cover on, i'm quite sure it wont fit into most leather cases, like the one i use on my belt

Damn, I wish there was something in the middle, like a 2000mAh battery pack.
Would be nice to get a full day and then some out of the phone

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....46602&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1849wt_1137
And it is really really nice.
The phone sits securely and has a slot on the back for my second battery.
Certainly worth the £11 I paid for it. The only downside is that it does not take the phone with the case still on but to be fair I don't think any of them do.

Edit: Disregard my question. I've just looked at the item on Ebay and see that it is a lot deeper than it appears in your pictures. They make it look quite flat as you cannot see the tapered bottom part.

I have used the ones that take AA batteries before. Apart from the limited capacity, they are also quite heavy and sometimes struggle to actually charge the phone (rechargeable AA batteries are 1.2 volts so 4 will only reach 4.8 volts output where the phone is looking for 5volts plus)
I wanted something lightweight, and not too bulky and that would fit inside my jacket pocket. I looked at loads of these things before I bought this one and they ranged in cost, size, weight and capacity. Some had 5000aH but were big and heavy. The really light ones however did not have enough capacity for a recharge of the Desires battery.
This thing gives me 2500Ah (the Desire has a 1400aH battery) and weighs 88g so has enough juice to recharge the battery at least once from flat in a day if not half again. It was £29 from Scan (Amazon have them as well)
Unfortunately I have no choice but £30 is not too bad.
In the morning for example, I will leave my house at 6:30am and not get home again until 10pm. I will be using my phone constantly with push mail, calls, facebook, twitter, Wordpress etc.I will not be carrying any briefcase or a bag so am limited to what I can fit in my suit pocket. The luxury of tapping mains power is not there
My last phone could not do a day like that on a single charge and the Desire will be down to 30% by lunchtime (less than a third of the way through my day)
So I have the power pack and a spare battery as well and these can all fit in my suit jacket pocket without adding too much bulk

Not everyday (thank goodness) but if I am working in London (a couple of days a week) then it takes me 2.5 hours to get in and 2.5 hours to get out again so add that to 9 to 5 and a drink with the team or a customer before I get back on the train and you get the idea.
The good news is that a smartphone means I don't need to carry around a laptop everywhere. The bad news is that with the Desire, I need lots of spare power
Does it charge with 1000mA like the original HTC power connector, or only 500mA (like the most usb-cables)?
Thanks,

Actually I am not sure it is even charging at 500mA which is the reason that particular one is sitting back in it's box waiting for an RMA number
There are some out there that claim 700 or even 950 (I will be trying the latter just as soon as Amazon can deliver).
This dock looks pretty nice. Might be tempted by it if I get a spare battery in the future with it.

You may have noticed in the picture that I have already taken that route.
Indeed tomorrow now that the battery pack is being returned I will be leaving the house at 6:30 with a fully charged phone and a fully charged second battery and nothing else.
But if 1 battery lasts until lunchtime (6 hours) then the second will last until about 7pm but I don't get home until 10!!!
A 3rd battery?
I think I need one of those battery belts that pro photographers use but that would be silly
I think I just want to have my cake and eat it. I want to watch videos on the train (if I can ever get the encoding right) or listen to music, I want to actually use my device to the full and don't want to start switching off features. After all I paid the best part of £400 for this thing, not using it would be daft.
I just need to work out the right solution. On my last phone (a HTC S740) a 2nd battery was more than enough but on this one I think I just need a bit of time to work out what works.

1500 mAh battery DealExtreme $8.70

About a month ago I was browsing DealExtreme for some stuff and I ran into this for only $8.70: 3.7V 1500mAh Battery with Battery Charger + EU Plug Power Adapter Set for HTC desire Z
I ordered the 1500 mAh battery and nearly three weeks later it arrived in a yellow envelope. It works great and it comes with a wall charger for the extra battery (WITH some colourful LEDs (pink for charging and blue just for fun)). As I was just about to write this notification I browsed DX again and also found this one:
Replacement 3.7V 1500mAh Cellphone Battery with Charger for HTC Desire Z/Vision/BB96100. You might notice the lack of European power plug support, but it also is $0.70 less
You might also notice the USB port. I just tested it and it seems to be working (the red notification LED is on, but the battery icon doesn't change, might be due to the fact that the battery is already full).
I tested it and it works, so now it's up to you guys to order one if you are in need of an extra (cheap) battery!
Edit: On the wall charger is the following written on a label: For T7373 Touch Pro2 (HTC Touch Pro2/T7373/T7388/T8388)
So the battery of the HTC Vision might be the same as the Touch Pro 2?
Anyway, just thought I should share.
Edit2:

There are a number of other HTC batteries that would work (or could work). Good find.
Note: I've had the same charger for my HD2 batteries. Be extremely careful when you whip out the prongs. I had a set snap on me, rendering the charger useless.

What Power Skin Is?
Power Skin is a battery case company for all kinds of Phones to the iPhone, Samsungs, HTC and BlackBerry.
They go for around $80-50 But with a Coupon Code you can get a 20% OFF your Case.
Now What is a Battery Case You Say?
Well its like a second battery for your phone or a portable charger. The downside is it adds about 8mm more thickness to your phone,
its a soft/hard case because some of it is soft but the battery part is hard, It protects your phone and charges it
Whats so Special About this Battery Case?
Well some battery cases dont have a on/off switch which means it charges phones when you don't even need it to be charged,
and since its always on sometimes taking off the case of the other companies, will waste power slowly,
because its sending power but some of the charges become weaker and weaker and then boom 1% lost.
Ya it may not seem like a lot but leaving a case on for like 12 hours it could lose around 10%-15% battery you could have used on your phone.
Do I (ME) have a case?
Yes all of my phones i have a bought a case, there great for our android phones.
Why should i even buy one of these?
Dont tell me you havent been at home or something and your phone dies and all you need to do is send one important message or call,
but guess what your phone is died well turn on your PowerSkin and boom more power, Thats why!
How Long do they last?
This is the question i get asked by friends and random people, Well you really cant say but with a Battery Case at 100%,
Well its 250 Hours on Stand By, But again thats tested on a brand new just out of the box no background apps or
anything running in the background, And About 280 Mins talk time

Well that's cool....
What does this Thing look like?
They sell them so far in all black with blue lights on the back to notify you on the battery, here are some pictures.
What should i Do Now?
Well Click the THANKS BUTTON!
Then..... decided if you want to buy this or not
COUPON CODE!
POWERUP2
And again because look at some kid go crazy and say "I BOUGHT THIS AND YOU BROCK MY PHONE"
I am here just to notify and give you knowledge about this not to force you to buy this or anything like that, or somehow break your phone?
not really a fan of these.
copped one and it made my phone extremely hot.
It looks like carrying a fully charged extra battery would take up less room in my pocket than one of these giant cases.

ugh. i hate when people BROCK my phone.
The only way I'd get this is if they they made a car attachment/clip for the OEM car adapter.
I actually just bought one of these. it doesn't seem to make my phone any hotter and its great for when your someone who uses your phone as a mp3/video player (like i do, kills the battery)

I actually ordered mine yesterday with 2 day shipping People complain that makes the phone way thicker but the way I see it this phone is so thin and light that when holding it for awhile watching a video or something is kinda uncomfortable for my hands so the extra thickness and weight would be a good thing for me. How long does the battery last you? Also is it contantly charging your phone or it has a button like the "mophie battery pack" for the iPhone that allows to charge whenever you please
well i haven't actually checked how much it makes it last but it adds about 3 hours to your battery life and yea the extra thickness and weight is good for me as i have big hands so this phone feels even lighter in my hands
I bought one of these, and quite frankly it's not worth the extra bulk.
The GS4G looks awesome, but with the PowerSkin it just looks nasty.
Yes, it was helpful in adding about 30% battery to my phone but that's about it, sadly.
The amount it charged wasn't that beneficial to me.
30% more battery is not worth the bulk to me. the sleekness of this phone is just too nice and with all of the help from the amazing devs and modders, i want it looking as nice as it runs. instead of a powerskin, why not look into juice defender? one member posted 50+ hours from using it and it almost doubled my sister's vibrant battery life (1.78x normal).
edit: great find, btw, iTzAlienX. dont mean to take away from your post. just another option.

JuiceDefender has some awesome reviews.
Probably worth a shot.
And about the powerskin, it had a nice smooth texture, but the fact that it was silicone meant that it would attract pocket fuzz, and also "stick" to your pocket while taking it out.
Still not worth it, take it from a two month owner...or so
The guy at the T-Mobile store said these cases work with a power mat. Any confirmation from you guys that own them?

I'd highly doubt that compatibility. Either way, nothing was noted in the manual which was included with the case.

Mugen 6640 mah extended battery review Galaxy Note 4 with pictures and screenshots

Hey everyone, this is my review of the Mugen Power 6640 mah extended battery that fits the Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Here is the packaging contents, the battery itself, with the charging instructions and of course the required back cover for the larger battery

The battery came nicely wrapped and sealed in plastic to keep in clean/dry
The battery arrived with 3.86v, enough to make it all day through an 8 hour shift at work before i came home and killed it all the way and gave it it's first full charge
Here are the included charging instructions, which recommend a 5 hour charge even if the battery shows full before hand. Always try to use an OEM charger or quality aftermarket if possible, this is a lot of battery to fill without a 2.1 amp or higher charger, the included OEM Adaptive fast charger is great with this thing.
Here is the included card back in the package that has some information on it.
Here is a shot of the battery and back cover next to a AA battery for size reference.
Here is a shot of the contacts, just as nice as oem or even better, the battery itself is wrapped nicely too.
Here is the weight of the Mugen battery by itself
Compare that to the OEM battery and you can easily see that double the capacity is over double the weight!
Here is the Mugen Battery + Mugen back cover by itself
Now compare that to the OEM Samsung battery and the cover alone, the oem back cover only weighs 11 grams
Here is how much my stock Note 4 weighs with the OEM battery/cover and of course it has a Zagg glass on it too.
Here is the weight with the mugen battery/mugen back cover, one hefty beast!
Add my Hyperion case to the Mugen setup, which adds another 26 grams and you are at a whopping 10 ounces total!
Okay Now to the pictures of the full setup!
The Mugen battery door comes with its own built in kickstand, which works very nice for horizontal screen viewing. Note; it will not vertical stand due to the balance of the setup
The Mugen back cover fits very nice and snug all the way around the phone just like the OEM door
side shot of the fitment, great!
Of course it also comes with an included wireless charging mat if you already have a dock
Here we can see the extra thickness of the battery against the phone
Another shot of the battery in the phone
Here is the case i am currently using with the mugen battery, its a Hyperion honeycomb TPU, as far as i know it's the only case that will fit that you can buy by itself for about $5-10 on amazon
Since this isn't "made" for this battery, some of the cutouts are better than others.
The bottom cutouts don't line up well, one of the bottom mics appear to be completely covered, the other is all the way at the top of the cutout, the battery charging port is a tight fit with some cables, but i just had to stretch it before i put it on there. No one had any issues hearing me on the phone even though the mic port is off. The S pen cutout is fine.
The volume rocker cutout is a little to one side, but works fine, no issues there
The headphone jack is a tight fit for some , the IR blaster is all the way to one side but not worked,it works fine when i tried it, the same with the top mic port, it's all the way to one side, but not covered.
IF you look all the way to the left of this pic, you can see where the case already paid for itself with a fall from my pocket onto a smooth concrete floor. I highly recommend this case, since you want "SOME" protection with your phone.
Okay enough with these pictures, but what about the performance!?
Well the Mugen battery is rated at 6640 mah vs the stock 3320 mah, so it's rated at double the capacity...But does it perform as advertised? YES, in my usage, it gave me double the time i had on my stock battery. It lasts so long i haven't even got to fully kill the thing on it's own yet, but with the help of stability test app i was!
The battery behaves very similar to the stock battery, except for one weird quirk, when the Mugen battery hits 1%, it will last for another 3 hours of full brightness on the stability test app using full CPU+GPU Usage. Basically the stock battery meter doesn't know how to handle the difference in capacity, so the percentage is going to drop faster than the actual capacity should be, this is an issue with the phone itself not the battery.
Here are the screenshots all from 1 day of testing it. Basically i ran it without power saver and max brightness all day when i was at work, then i got home and ran stability test on max brightness to see how far it would go.
You can see i got over 7 hours of screen on max brightness time with the extended battery, these results would be even better if you had a better signal through the day. You can see during the day my signal at work is poor draining the battery even faster. If i use power saver with restrict background data on automatic screen brightness, i can do 3 days without charging.
Basically you get double the run time of the stock battery, which is very nice, since with moderate use an entire day can sometimes be difficult without charging a little bit. Now i can just leave it on without power saver, on a high screen brightness, and use it as much as i want, never actually get it very low throughout the day and charge it once per day and forget about it! I typically have "50%" on the battery meter by the end of a 12 hour day if that means anything to anyone.
The phone will shut off only when the battery reachs <3.40v, which like i said before was 3 full hours of stability test after the phone reached 1%.
Overall i highly recommend this product, it's just what anyone needs to use their Note 4 to it's fullest potential, and never have to worry about the battery dying in a single day.
You can purchase the product here if you like it.

Took the letters right off of my keyboard! lol
Great review. Nice and helpful. Far to thick for my tastes.
I've really gotten used to the weight. It's so worth it to not have to stress about battery life. The hyperion case helps it slide right into and out of the pocket also.

I just might have to take this into consideration, since I'm considering another battery.
Honestly this is one of the best & most detailed review I've seen! Thanks!! I wasn't really in the market for a extended battery due to size, but your review made it a definite sale!

If you get it you will really enjoy the battery life. It's literally like having a double capacity oem battery. It's so cool to be able to utilize my Note 4 however i want without using power saver and never have to worry about the battery dying if i charge it every night while i sleep.
Also if anyone needs a good charger, i got a really nice charger off amazon for a bargain, but looks like it's not available now.

This thing charges just as fast as my oem Samsung quick charge 2.0 charger and doesn't even get warm to the touch. really surprised by the quality/$$ ratio.

Took a shot and ordered one as well. The reviews seem positive so it also has a 2-year warranty. It doesn't look as big as the zerolemon either. Like the 2-layer case too. We'll see.

This as far as i know is the ONLY Extended that i would use if i had the V10 (I have a G4) Look at my Thread HERE for some ideas of what you'd may find acceptable
Edit: or THIS 3800mah Slim Battery
So...
I got this yesterday. Prime delivered it next day. Pretty sweet if you ask me. It's heavy. Don't get me wrong, even before I put it on the device all by itself, it was heavy. Put it on yesterday. Was already charged to 50% out-of-the-box. Charged all night.
So far this is my experience. Now, I know that batteries need to be conditioned so, this is only my first day's experience. I have a 2-hour commute to/from work using public transportation (yeah, I know), I spend it heavily using my device. At full-brightness, reading emails, surfing, texting, reading books, no games. Not much into games. On the regular battery I'm down to about 54% by the time I get from point a to point b. Today, my battery was about 75%. So, unsubstantiated and unscientific I had 20% more battery power than before.
Battery was recognized as a "battery" both internal settings saw it fine and batterybotpro had no issue seeing it as a battery.
Upside so far, seems to give more time on the device without charging.
Nice looking case ( inner and outer)
Downsides...
Bulkier than standard battery
Heavier than standard device
Device now has some junk In the trunk as it sticks out
Fingerprint scanner is hot and miss. Sometimes it works, other times I have to make sure I'm making contact with some part of the housing
Will not work in any cradle I have. The battery makes it too thick to fit into a cradle
It's not that expensive. I'll update this in a week and as I can going forward to see if this is steady in giving me an extra boost.
[[UPDATED REVIEW AFTER ABOUT ONE MONTH]]
The battery lasts barely 3 hours. It starts to drain the MINUTE I take it off charger. It's really atrocious. I'm going to see about returning the thing as soon as possible. It shouldn't have such atrocious performance after such a short time. Truly bad.

It'll take at least 5 charge/discharges to get the full capacity of whatever battery you have. Of course there's going to be some thickness to it. I have a slim 4500mah Battery for my G4 and it works surprisingly well

I've had the battery for a couple of days now and it has been great 5 stars. I would say good double battery life and case is great too. Can just feel which side of phone is front and back and top and bottom in my pocket :good:

Ok keep me posted. Is the your first time using it? Remember, these take at least 3-5 charge\discharges to get it's capacity but just so you know the LG G4 Will never learn the battery capacity cause I think there's a chip that's locked at 3000mah
