Is there a way to run the phonebook.apk from the stock firmware on free x10. I am really found of it. I am sure som1 can edit it to get it working, that would be gr8.
Sent from my X10A using XDA App
i don't think it's possible, i think i read that the only way to run Sony apps is with the source code for each app. i don't know much about how the software works, so i would love to be proven wrong.
i too am fond of the stock Xperia phone book, i liked many of the stock apps, even though it took its share of resources, i liked timescape a lot
I'm not saying its not possible(Its highly unlikely), but its useless, it wont be able to pull up the background picture without the framework and your running a different ROM for a reason, right?...
(sorry to hijack your thread) but what about the keyboard? I like that as well...
Phonebook i'm not so sure... its linked to Timescape right...the status updates and stuff
i installed the timescape apk from the arc dump as well as the plugins that work with the timescape app. I was able to get it semi working like the facebook, twitter and, messaging would show up in the timescape slider but when i went to log in facebook or twitter it would crash, also in the dialer/phonebook when u go to call log it would fc or when u make a call it fc. I have uploaded the whole app dump from the arc hoping maybe somebody can get these working because they look really nice.
To get the timscape to work i had to install
TimescapeSpline.apk- which is timescape its self
EventStream.apk, EventStreamPluginCallLog.apk, EventStreamPluginFacebook.apk, EventStreamPluginTelephony.apk, EventStreamPluginTwitter.apk.
The for the dialer i installed
Phonebook.apk,InfiniteView.apk- this gives u and indepth view of your contacts it looks really cool

does your phone have to be rooted?
Not having any luck with this. The launcher works fine. Timescape app opens and I can see the interface (panels for different things like messaging, twitter, etc...) but nothing actually shows up as the actual timescape flow and when I try to put the widget on the launcher it FCes.
Motorola Milestone XT720, rooted 2.2
EDIT: hmm, the timescape app seems to be working now for some reason, though the widget still causes FC.
i tried timescape it works well on DHD, but animations like in xperia arc doesnt work... and also timescape widget and music player doesnt work on DHD,
any way of making them work on DHD....
between thanks for the upload
Was this ever sorted out?
I tried to make it work in a lg P500 and works the widget of the pics and videos and the digital clock. Timescape dont work at all, sorry, anyone know some app that do something like that?

To all you amazing dev's: Anyone interested in porting this to us? i think this launcher looks fantastic. Take a look at that vid, and here are the posts with files for it.

edit: looks lke i was wrong its not VEGA, its PoV Mobii . I still think its really neat.
I think gojimi* already ported this in the themes n apps section.
http://vegantab.gojimi.com/downloads/
look on that page for 3d launcher v 1.0
hmmm, i'll have to look deeper.
As a side note, I pulled the zip from http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-vega-vega-modaco-com/329946/3d-desktop-plugin/#entry1567646 (backed up) and ran the bat after ADB found the device. it works like a champ. not customizable, but neat looking. It's worth a few moments as a diversion, but VTL.Launcher is still my fave
I guess i'm still looking for new and creative ways to brick my device. It didn't work this time, I'll have to try harder.
I assume this probably won't work on TNT then?
i dont see why not, it seems like another launcher.
Cool launcher but I would like to be able to change the apps on the dock. Until then. Back to VTL.
Its a very cool interface. Just seams like a demo though. Really like how it feels like a tablet interface should. Just wish you could change out links on the bottom bar. This is good progress for the future of tablets though. I really love vtl lately it will be my daily as soon as gingerbread gets hardware exceleration. Till then I'm sticking with beta 5.1.1 and launcher pro.
Is there a thread for this launcher in the themes and apps section? Did a search but I couldn't find it.

Yeah, I had to search to find it. I installed it last night using CM7, and it works fine.

so i was just roaming around xda when i came across these, they are xperia launchers and timescape for the optimus black, i've tried out timescape and it works, will try the xperia arc launcher soon and see if that aswell. OBviously since its not made for the purpose of our phones bits and pieces would be missing, but still fun to try and maybe get it working with our stock launcher or something.
xperia launcher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1397093
timescape http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471578 . PS: can someone edit the updater-script file so it says "920" instead of "970" pleassse and then sign it so people on here can install on their optimus3d using cwm .THANKS
Xperia events http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1476946
this would be a cool feature to use on our phones
would this work on GB and Froyo?? or is it just for CM7??
yeh it actually looks good and is fairly smooth, well i tried it on gb (havent tried froyo), and didnt come up with any fc as such, only downside to timescape is you can only use it in the xperia homescreen

Well, since you wrote "other launchers" you might as well install the Xperia launcher from the forum - it includes the OnOffTools and works on ICS and GB.
Make sure to make a nandroid backup before doing anything with it!

hahaha thanks anyway with other launchers i mean Nova or Go, i know that with xperia launcher it works
ah, you already are on sony .. my bad for not seeing it.. well, before I rooted I used Switchwidget pro, it's beautiful and I think it's quite close to what you need - it's not free, but it's highly customizable and it simply looks great!
