Has anyone used this particular model with an XDA (XDA II)?

Before I buy:
http://www.tomtom.com/products/products.php?ID=209&Language=4
Can't seem to find a provider of XDA car kits in the US and I'd heard that some people successfully used a TomTom kit so I looked into them.
I have a trip coming up next week so I'd like to buy a solution ASAP.
This is a car kit for TOMTOM rather than the XDA-2 By that i mean its a simple holder for the XDA-1 (the xda-2 will fit but it tight unless you remove the battery cover) it power the XDA and the GPS thats it, It is not a car kit for a mobile phone
John
Ok thanks for the quick response, if it'll fit the XDA II (even snugly) and power both it and the GPS then at least I'll know what I'm getting.
I'd love to get a regular car kit for hands free but have come up empty looking for a stateside retailer. Anyone else out there know of one?
The XDA-1 car kit dose work with the XDA-2 and also you can connet your GPS to it, but there is no aerial connetin the XDA-1 kit.
I use the simple OMTOM Cradel in my car with a BT200 bluetooth headset, but i have friends who still use there old XDA-1 car kits

xda 2 car kit - the best car mount

Hi
Which is better and why: the expansys or seido car mounts ?
There have been some discussions on the pros and cons of the expansys; besides the fact that pda audio isn't pushed through the car speakers, it seems to work well. Anybody with feedback on the seido G2500 ?
Also, where is the most convenient place to install the mount - in the centre of the dash somewhere or, for UK drivers, to the right of the steering wheel ?
Cheers
JP
Does anyone have the Seidio unit yet? According to their website still to be released.
sorry, missed that it is 'available soon'.
It does look sleeker than the expansys one though.
I'm waiting for the Seido G2500 to be released, I have not seen the other one but would really like to see any others, but so far the Seido G2500 has been the best on features and price... I'm planning on getting a bluetooth GPS as well and the Seido G2500 has an output to charge your GPS as well so its a great solution for me...
Any other sujestions?
I will probably get the seidio when it is released but the Expansys unit does appear to have an external antenna connection to mate with the connector on the XDA II, that could be useful.
As far as the BT charge facility on the Seidio G2500 I like that too but the Navman GPS 4400 unit I was planning to get isn't listed on the Seidio list of available BT charger options.
One other thing, I use the Seidio iSound wireless FM transmitter with my XDA II as an MP3 player in my car. It enables the sound to be broadcast through the car stero system. Works really well. The people at Seidio tell me that an adapter will be required for the iSound to work with the Seidio G2500 but that adapter has not been developed yet.

USB Pin Connectors/ 3.5 mm Headphone Adapter

I wish to use a standard earphone (other than that bundled by HTC) with 3.5 mm stereo pin. But the problem is that HTC accessories are not readily available in India. Now what I thought is, can we not make a homemade adapter by cutting a mini USB cable and connecting / soldering it with a standard 3.5mm stereo adapter. In that case the microphone of course will not work. I have read at HTC site that the mini USB of HTC vox (may be all other phones of HTC) is a propreitory 11 pin connector. So can a standard mini USB cable be satisfactorily used ?
Anybody has any idea ?
This is what I use with my VOX

it works perfect, and I got it delivered to my home in India.
but I dont use it anymore cause I have got the new Jabra BT3030 bluetooth stereo headset which is so perfect.
Thanks Prajith. I am thinking of buying one.
Also ebay
Do a search on ebay for "USB audio adapter for HTC Vox". They are very cheap.

BUY IT from XDA DEVELOPERS STORE
Its available in the store.xda-developers.com

@naidu001
you can get two of the connectors I mentioned in that price.
and hey it can be used for charging too, which the connector you mentioned cannot.
Rightly said Prajith your conector has boyh USB mini and 3.5 jack. Actually I purchased a few things from another site where postage was further cheap at $3 per item. But it seems that cost of the items are cheaper at the link shown by Prajith.
Anyway I am searching for an adapter with miniUSB, 3.5 earphone jack and microphone too for answering calls. I know this will be avaialable but the shipping costs are main.
@parthabhatta
talk to some of the other windows mobile users near place and buy this together. That way shipping cost becomes very less and they may offer a discount also. I had bought 30 of those, now I have only one and that too I dont need.
I would seriously suggest that you try a bluetooth stereo headset, you would never again use a wired headset. Ever!
Let me know if any of you folks have bought this miniusb to 3.5 mm audio jack converter for Vox from xda store. How easy is to order one from there?
I live in Bangalore. Is there any one knows which is the right place here to find it?

I ordered it from brando shopping. I don't remember the price paid but they have a standard 3 $ per item charge for shipping anywhere. The item will reach you within a fortnight maximum.
The url is probably shop.brando.com.hk or google with brando shop and you will find the exact address. No extra customs duty etc has to be paid.
Thanks PrabhatBhatta,
i went to Bangalore's National Market and tried a few adaptors, none could really work actually. Then i tried a final one which is the same as seidio one, which worked atlast for me. I bargained it for Rs160.

Car Docks

I know there's a one x dock that's supposed to hit the market, and I'm assuming/hoping we'll get the same treatment, but how about aftermarket accessories? Anyone have any tips on very good generic car docks?
In very short: Buy this USB Cable, you can find here.
Buy any cardock else, that suits your needs, e.g. igrip HRX kit which you can find here.
You'll have a solution as with HTC's original equipment but of more value, as the holder can be reused..
I bought the original HTC One S Car upgrade kit CAR D100 for about 50 € and am using it for nearly three weeks now. I wouldn't do that again for some reasons. Atm I'm preparing a little review of it, which I'll post here in this thread. Due to a lack of time it will take two or three more days.

The correct handsfree earphones for S10 lite (G770F).

A few days ago my S10 lite handsfree ear-phones broke.
I bought the genuine Samsung hands-free type-c that I found on the market.
Unfortunately my device did not recognize them as a FM radio antenna. I could only listen to music from YouTube or through a browser.
I returned them as incompatible and after much searching I found that the only headphones that fit our G770F are the ones that were in the original package.
For anyone interested the code is: GH59-15204A for white color and GH59-15203A for the black color. The order was placed in a Samsung store. I received them in 3 days and the cost was 20 euros.
