I bought this case the other day just got it this morning, My Dad, the day before spent 40 Dollars on a Sedio case, This case is pretty much the same thing as a sedio case, Blew my mind, All the ports show up well plus its about 30 dollars cheaper then the sedio one and its the same thing, if not better then my dads sedio case.
Anyways just thought i'd let everyone know about this 7 dollar case before you buy a 30-40 Dollar one.

Looks like it blocks the notification light? Other then that I like the color, Keyboard still move without restriction?

I bought one of these cheap eBay cases and wasn't too happy.

There's no hole for the notification light and the areas where the four corners meet the rest of the case are pretty rough and would scratch your phone. The other holes are cut fine, the microphone hole, while cut accurately in terms of position, is really poorly sanded and finished off. The clips for the top portion are also on the sides, which could in theory scratch the buttons (although, it slides fine).

Does block the light, Key board is a tad stiffer but not by much,

Why do all the ebay cases have the light covered? Just seems a little weird as that is a notification light.

I got this case in today (black) and it is perfect. Smooth edges and corners, and it fits very snug.
Also, I will be drilling a super small hole for the notification light. Easy and cheap fix.
Thanks for posting this case, it is the best cell phone case I have ever had.

i bought one of these on ebay awhile back, like everybody said, it blocks the led notification part of the phone. Also, if you check out the front cover of the case, look at the hindges.. its on the sides of the phone where it can scratch the keyboard when sliding out. While the sedio case has the hindges on the top and bottom of the phone.

I think I will too. I may also remove that bar at the bottom that covers samsung name. Maybe I have big fingers because sometime it gets in the way when push the bottom buttons. I have a hobby knife and dremel so it shouldn't be any problem. So far I like my case.

I removed the bar and I think it looks much better.

I bought one of these for my moms epic. Thinner and no bar across. I think the bar takes away from the sleekness of the phone. The guy selling has other designs that look good.
The original case i bought for her was from radio shack.
This ebay case is good enough for the price. Also, the keyboard doesnt rub with the case.

I also have this case. I got it more two months ago when I got my phone and I love it. This is my first post in the forum just to show how much I like this case. Very compact, hard but with a thin rubber feeling. I droped the phone a couple of times and the case didn't break. Its easy to remove and stays in place. I though it would be hard to find a good case for the phone due to the keyboard but I was wrong.
My brother got an expensive shiny case from Sprint for about $40 and it really sucked when compared to this one.

Solution for battery cover?

I am absolutely loving my Fascinate (rooted, lag fixed, and de-Binged of course). Awesome upgrade from my Droid Eris! However, I have one major gripe with it so far, and that's the battery cover, or back plate, whatever you wanna call it. I am definitely not a fan of the glossy finish on it. If my fingers are the least bit wet or greasy, it makes it very hard to hold onto. The battery cover on my Eris had some kind of slightly rubberized matte finish, and I never, ever had trouble holding onto that phone.
So, I'm looking for a solution. Ideally, it would be in the form of a direct replacement for the OEM battery cover that is made of the grippy material like the Eris had, but I might settle for some kind of stick-on skin, if there's a good one that will eliminate the slipperiness. I've searched a bit, but haven't found any good solutions yet. Anyone suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, but please don't suggest cases of any kind. I have a good leather belt holster already that the phone fits in perfectly, and adding a wraparound case of any kind would be redundant, and also would prevent the phone from fitting in my current case.
Actually, I think I found a solution, thanks to a thread on the Android Central forums. Stealth Guards is apparently giving away all their screen protectors away for free for a limited time. You pay only the cost of shipping, which for me was $2.85, and the protector was originally $14.99. It's actually a full body protection skin, not just a basic screen protector. I'll probably just use the part for the back, and not mess with the front screen protector part at all. Here's the link:
http://www.stealthguards.com/index.php/cellphones/samsung-fascinate-full-body-protection.html
Note that they have free protector kits for most all the popular phones available right now, and if you like their Facebook page, you could win prizes (such as iTunes or Best Buy gift cards) on the way to 1000 likes, and after they top 1000, they'll hold a drawing to give away a new 6th-gen iPod Nano.

THANKS!!! Just ordered one for me and one for my girlfriend... I didn't want to add a case, but this will keep our phones looking fancy!
hey this looks really cool. can you let us know how this works out after you get it? i was just at the bar the other day (you know how when ur holdin a cold beer and ur hands get wet) i was like god this phone is slippery
I got full body invisible shield.
I removed the SP and got realook because i didn't like the rubber feel on the screen.
But i left the back piece on it makes the back feel allot better and gives it a kind of rubbery feel and reduces finger prints and also helps protect from scratches
It and makes the over all phone feel solid.
Thanks for the link. Picked up 2 of these for my phone.
Thanks for the link too, got one for me and two coworkers. Hell of a deal even if it's mostly crap. I just want it forthe back cover too. Way too slippery.
I'd like it if Seidio's innocase for this phone just protected the back/sides and left the front alone. I like the soft touch on those...
Even my HTC TP2 had a soft tough battery door stock.
Oh dang, I forgot to reply back to this. I got my Stealth Guard as expected (just an envelope in the mail, almost thought it was junk mail at first). Sadly, there NO instructions (except for a YouTube video on their website, which was a joke), but after digging up some info online, I washed and dried the battery cover, sprayed it with some slightly soapy water, and applied the skin. I rubbed out most of the bubbles fairly easily, and as others have said, after 2-3 days, all remaining bubbles and odd-looking film went away, and if not for the ridge at the edge of the skin, you wouldn't know it was on there. Oh, I did have a bit of trouble getting the corners to stick down to the curved corners of the battery cover, but I kept working on them, and they did eventually stick as the water started to dry up a little. So far there's no evidence of peeling or anything.
I do have to admit that it's not as grippy as I expected, but it is some better than the bare surface, and should prevent the back from getting scratched up, which I was starting to see evidence of, even with careful treatment of the device. I'm undecided if I'll ever apply the front piece or not at this point, but seeing how clearly the back piece applied, I wouldn't expect it to affect visibility at all.
I ordered another one of these for my brother-in-law's Droid Incredible, and would recommend them to anyone else as well, unless you want to try a different brand, in the hopes of getting an even grippier surface for the back side. But I think that for a mere $2.85, you really can't find a better deal anywhere.

Well, I ordered the Verizon / OEM, "kickstand" hard case in hopes of a good solution for the slippery back. Looks like this case only covers the back and sides of the phone and leaves the front untouched which is what I wanted as far as a case, and it looks quite thin too. Plus, it has a kickstand built in which I really wanted since my TP2 had a sliding/tilting screen. The back of this case is grooved with like a patchwork pattern so I'm sure it's a lot grippier.
Verizon wants $20 for them, but I got it for $10 including shipping on eBay! I'll post back how it is when I get it, but I think it's the best solution i've seen.
Have the kickstand case & it's pretty good. It also has 4 raised "feet" at the corners on the back which give it some speaker clearence when flat & act as friction points for your hand or loose pocket. The kickstand is a good alternative for a desk cradle & makes utilizing the alarm clock easier.

Bulky cases like that don't work for me. I use a belt holster case that I picked up from Best Buy, and any other protector case would make it bulky to put into the holster. That's why this stick-on protector was attractive to me, as it adds no unnecessary bulk. But that's just my preference. If you prefer a hard case, you'll get no argument from me.

Directly from the VZ site....I am gonna experiment with one...Im looking for a sort of rubber spray paint...If i can find one im gonna spray it.
Maybe with the white fascinate coming out at best buy I can buy the white back. Looks nice.
Ok, got the OEM/Verizon Kickstand case in and the $2 Stealth Guards films. The kickstand case is THE solution for the battery door IMHO, but I got both mainly for this reason. Mini review of each:
The Kickstand case, I got from eBay, for $11 shipped w/ tax (just search for "fascinate kickstand"), which is half off the in store price you'll find. It is THE solution to the slippery battery door IMHO, and the best case out there right now. The case has a slight rubberized / soft touch finish, and has a grip pattern in it, which makes it much easier to hold onto. It's quite thin, except for a bump caused by the kickstand, which is leveled so the phone lays flat, by some "feet" on the back. That slight bump I actually like, because I can easily tell which way the phone is oriented in my hand without looking at it. It provides nice protection to the sides and corners and back, so I think it will provide added drop protection. It fits very tight, I wouldn't expect it to come off ever. What I really like, is that it barely protrudes above the front of the phone at all, it adds a very slight lip at the sides, and that's it. This keeps the phone quite flat/thin still and doesn't change how you'd interact with the screen at all. The slight lip should help protect the screen though. All the cutouts are excellent in positioning, and provide nice "cover" for the side buttons against accidental actuation.
Probably the nicest thing of all which I didn't expect, is that the Kickstand works in both Portrait with the phone vertical, and horizontal in landscape, due to the way they positioned the kickstand on the back. It works great - this takes care of one of the things I missed from my Touch Pro2 (the tilting screen). It also has a tensioner, which allows you to tweak the angle in horizontal/landscape a bit because it's "stiff". For the $11 I paid for it, it's worth every penny and seems quite solid/well engineered for the price.
Only downside I see is that it's a bit tougher to take the battery out of course..
The Stealth Guards films are better than nothing, but not much grippier than stock. They come with just two films, front and back. Application and clarity is similar to other "invisible shield" type products. Not a very good screen protector (orange peel, tiny bubbles, not crystal clear), Steinheil is WAY better, but they don't have them yet for our phones so I'll use this in the mean time. Also, they cover the light/prox sensor at the top of the phone, which I found made the automatic backlight adjustment sorta freak out and switch more often than it should (probably because the protector is relatively thick and not crystal clear) - I cut a tiny window out around them with a razor blade and that fixed the issue. They shipped in an envelope, inside another envelope, I ordered 3 sets for myself and friends, and every one came with wrinkling/damage. Fortunately the films are very durable so the films themselves were unharmed - it was the paper backing that was wrinkled. Still, they could of reinforced the envelope with a little cardboard.... Also they come with no instructions or packing at all, just bulk/oem packed. Still, for $2 they were worth it, but not worth much more than that.

Speck Candyshell

I just want to put this out there. I purchased the black Speck Candyshell today along with my G2X and will be returning it tomorrow. This case will literally scratch if you wipe your fingers on it. Don't even think about putting it down on a hard surface. This case would be perfect if it didn't look like complete garbage after having it on the phone for 5 minutes. Stay away from the Speck Candyshell in dark colors.
Could you please take some pictures of the phone in the case? From a few angles?
Wondering how the fit looks.
im also wondering about the scratches, if you could post pics of those as well!
i was planning on buying the black or grey candyshell case tomorrow.
The fitment is great! No lie there. Unfortunately I'm at work until 330. When I get home I'll throw the case on and take some close up macro shots.

I'm using the black\grey speck case with no issue and I quite like it, the other options in store were a joke...the body glove and circle ribbed one. I could suggest a case for your case in case it gets any other life threatening scratches. Sad part is I'm serious...its a case, they arent supposed to look like sculptures untouched, lol.
Ridiculous. I never stated that the case was never supposed to get scratched. However, I will not accept paying $38 for a case that looks like complete garbage after only 5 minutes of use.

Just exactly how long is your 5 minutes in my time? My case has been all over stepped on by pups, outside on furniture chilled by this crappy WA weather and in and out of my pockets back and forth. My case looks good...then again I will always be happier to have any character nicks and scrapes on my candyshell...so thats not even relevant. And ridiculous is hardly the word. Stating a phone hard case is garbage after 5 minutes, now thats ridiculous.
Look at you. Why are you trying to argue a moot point? Lol. I'll have pictures to support my statement.

I purchased this along with my G2x. T-Mo had a promotion going to buy 3 accessories or more and get 30% off each of them so I took the bait. I do have to say that the speck case does scratch VERY easily as mine has not been dropped at all and only placed on my work desk and it does have substantial scratches on it already. The other thing that irks me too is that my headphone jack doesn't fit into my phone with the case on so I had to rip the rubber out of the headset hole and it doesn't look to good but at least I can plug my headphones in with the case still on. I don't care that the case is scratched up as that is the point of a case--to take the damage instead of the phone. Just my 2 cents.

Here are a couple photo showing fitment as well as the scratches sustained to the case after being on it for 5 minutes. I'm sorry if this issue seems trivial to some but I'm not down for having my phone in a case that looks like **** after a couple minutes. Imagine what it'd look like after about 2 weeks. The hairline scratches seen were a result of a wipe down with a micro fiber towel. There are two scuff marks that were a result of placing the phone on the table.

A case is meant to get scratches.. you must of had keys in the same pocket with the phone of something.
Unfortunate there's no case for a case out there either.
hmm
well i purchased this at work today regardless of the thread starters issues. I work in a tmo store, and got it for pretty cheap so i figured theres no harm in trying it out. better than buying something i cant see first online. g2x should be on my doorstep in the morning, then i'll throw the case on and post up some more info.

Not the case. (Pun not intended) All the swirl scratches are from wiping it with a micro fiber towel. The two scuffs were from placing it on my desk at work. Regardless of the scratches, the molding around the volume rocker was cracked. When I went to the T-Mo store to return the case, I checked other cases and found that the case I had was the only one with the cracked rocker. All issues withstanding, this case is not worth $38 IMO.
Got the Speck case and love it. Makes the phone feel solid. And not as slippery! Only issue I had was I had to modify the opening around the headphone jack. Actually cut the piece separating the headphone and the HDMI port. Now I need to find something to smooth out the rough edges.
Speck cases do scratch easy. My sister has one for her iPhone in purple, and after 2 weeks of use it looks like it got ran over by a car, fell down a mountainside, and got chewed by wolves. Quite disappointing, considering how attractive (imo) they look. I still buying one for my Atrix. Lets see how it works being black... the most blemish showing color in the world
Wish they would make something white.

I would not want this case at $5. It looks like ****. Reason I'll pay retail is because I don't have an issue paying the money and can not stand waiting for **** in the mail. Clearly, $34 isn't the issue when buying a $500 phone.

FishBone Case for HTC Inspire

just wanted to give my input after using this case for the past 4 months now and have to say it's a great tough case for the price. I have a habit of resting my phone on my lap when I'm driving and a few times I forgot when I got out of my truck to grab my phone and it got flung onto the pavement a couple of times without a scratch (knock on wood).. it has a durable grip with rubber skin with a snap on hard case and looks cool... I got mine on ebay for 6 bucks... they run around anywhere from 6-15 bucks and come in several colors
hmmm nobody has this case but me ? lol
I have that same exact habit and it resulted in cracking the hell out of the screen of my last Inspire. Does the case make the phone feel bulky?

not at all it's has a very comfortable solid grip, not bulky at all.....
I think people look at it and think that it's bulky cause of it's rugged look and because it's a cheap price it must be crap, but in all honesty it's just as good if not better then the 30 dollar OtterBox Commuter or the 25 dollar Seidio... just saying

Thanks for pointing this one out. I had never seen one before but I like it. I ordered the black on black version for $14.99 shipped. Really Nice case for the Money!
This is one of the cases I have for my Inspire! I love the fit it is nice and snugg! The only thing I find with it, it the rubber that goes under the speaker at the top of the screen can sometimes be a pain when I try to slide the notification bar down!
Apart from that I love this case, and I love the $10 price tag I got it for on eBay!!
cool deal ... let me know how you guys like it
I ordered a pink/black one from ebay. Took me a few tries to get it to actually fit right. I was getting mad and looking at other cases....I think the case felt the vibe...the next time I tried to get it to fit, it went on perfect. It works best to put the phone in while the case is totally together...not one piece at a time.
I got the black/white one for like $7 bucks , I love Ebay lol. I had this same case for my Desire Z and was very pleased with it, so getting this one again for this phone was a no brainer.
I know this thread is a little older, but I wanted to come and give my opinion for people that may come here looking for info about this case.
My Gf has this case on her Inspire, and the fit is crap. Never tried putting the phone in while the case is assembled though, but doing it one piece at a time the corners never match up. She got sick of the notification bar issue, and had problems with the proximity sensor, so she cut the little strip off that sits below the speaker and that solved the problem.
I have been using these cases for about four months now, and I think they are just great. I bought one off eBay, and ended up breaking it after dropping it. But the phone was perfectly fine, no scratches or anything. I ordered two more for less than $20. I would much rather have these than an otterbox.
Sent from that place, using that thing.
I agree Great Case!
I bought the same one off sleaze bay and it works great. I can still slide it in my pocket and it doesn't get stuck like my OtterBox did. My only complaint is....No clip to attach to a belt.
Otherwise great value

Galaxy S Relay Cases - Issue with durabillity

There appears to be a limited number of cases for Galaxy S Relay:
Incipio SA-316 Feather
Incipio SA-321/322 Dual Pro
Tmobile D3O
No name brand rubber case (but is actually hard plastic).
I went through the review and it appears that all of them have the same flaw. The front plate attaches to the screen using tabs, which then breaks after several months because it was dropped or bumped. So any case is likely to have this issue?

that's true of pretty much every slider phone case. i had a couple different cheap hard plastic cases on my droid2, droid 4 and now i have one on my relay. for me, having that extra lip on the front face makes it less likely for me to drop it when pulling the phone out of my pocket. and the cases are so cheap, it's no big deal if it breaks. just spend another $3 on amazon/ebay and you're good. or buy 2-3 at a time so you always have a spare on hand.
the shortest time i ever had one last on my droid2 or droid4 was about 6 months, and it was due to a particularly bad drop onto the concrete driveway. but the case did its job perfectly - sacrificed itself to save the phone. if i hadn't had a case, i'd have had a shattered screen for sure. well worth the $3 investment. that said, i only go thru 1-2 cases per phone, and i usually keep my phones about 2 years. i just got my relay a month ago but case construction seems identical to what i had on the d2/d4 - thin tabs to grab the edge of the chassis - so i expect similar performance.

the shortest time i ever had one last on my droid2 or droid4 was about 6 months, and it was due to a particularly bad drop onto the concrete driveway. but the case did its job perfectly - sacrificed itself to save the phone. if i hadn't had a case, i'd have had a shattered screen for sure. well worth the $3 investment. that said, i only go thru 1-2 cases per phone, and i usually keep my phones about 2 years. i just got my relay a month ago but case construction seems identical to what i had on the d2/d4 - thin tabs to grab the edge of the chassis - so i expect similar performance.

I'm using T-Mobile's OEM cases for the Relay. They are thick and have that rubberized feel to them. They are durable and work just fine. I found a deal on eBay and got two for like $8.00. Not may other choices really.
I quit buying the ones with rubberized fell because they start peeling after a while plus the rubber picks up all kinds of lint and dust from my pocket. Also don't like how it feels on my ear and face during a call.
I originally got the D3O case that was the original Tmobile case. However the seller on ebay sent me a broken product with broken tabs. The texture was also kind of terrible like it had some sort of rubber fizz and it did add quite a bit of bulk. On the plus side, the buttons were covered.
I then got a second case from a vendor everydaysource for $3. This time case fit perfectly and did not have broken tabs. Durability of the case is rather suspected since it appears to be spray painted on rubberized pain, but it's worth $3.

I had that for the LG G3. I really liked it.
I always use bumper cases because it does not press on the back cover when I put Qi receivers, and also allow heat to escape from the back.
Is there anyone in here who used this Nillkin bumper case? Please tell us how it is...
I can't find it yet available in US, but it's all over ebay and amazon but coming from china...
I've got one on my phone right now, the grey one to be exact.
its nor what i'd call excessively bulky, but some people might complain over that, the screen is protected with the regular bump on the front part, its quite grippy as the back side remains accessible, the feel of the case is amazing, cutouts are perfect, materials are good, uses bumpy tpu-ish gel-ish plastic on the back and front size for the shock apsorbing, sides are made from strong plastic aswell. Buttons are easily accessible, very easy to press, but doesnt press when putting the phone in the pockets, didnt scratch the phone sides (yet) and its easy to remove even tho its a quite tight fit case.
the little backside rubber part make the phone stable on a flat surface, makes it stick a bit from the ground so the camera is protected. If you drop your phone directly on the back part on a non flat ground your camera will prolly be shattered.
Its my everyday case, would for sure recommend it (got it for about 8$ from ebay)
lemme know if you have any more questions :>

Thanks, the rubber at the front, is it loose or does it feel like it will loosen up in time? I have ordered one anyway because I like bumper cases. Thanks

Its very tight, it wont loosen as the side plastic holds it at place, its an unibody case tho, so the rubber wont separate from the plastic bit. But its quite good, disallows the specs of dust and sand to get in between the case and the metal bezels of the phone, overall i'm very satisfied with it on that area.
The grip is great, buttons work very well and it lets heat escape.
I own two spigen, uag and many cheap ones.
I prefer this one any day.
I bought the gray first. Loved it except the front part is gray.. I thought it was black like all the others with the colors on the back.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I bought the orange and I absolutely love it.
I like it so much. That I already bought the other two colors, red and blue.. ?
