Hi all,
I write this app for myself but soon i decided to put it on Android Market
As you read on thread title, it is a simple app useful to write secure notes on flat filesystem. You can find it h ttps://mar ket.androi d.com/details?id=com.tostis.notes".
For lazy people i copy&paste market description here
Write down secret notes with Tostis Notes. Text is encrypted with AES algorithm and saved on your SD card to make backup easier. Every .tec file has its own alphanumeric password and is stored by default in /sdcard/TostisNotes/ directory.
Share unencrypted text inside your note with application like GMail, SMS, Twitter etc.
Send encrypted .TEC file as attachment in GMail or backup it with Dropbox.
Print to any printer with Google Cloud Print.
This is the ad supported version, please click on banner!
Buy Pro version with more features: ht tps://m arket.andro id.com/details?id=com.tostis.notes.pro
Features:
- Share unencrypted text or encrypted .TEC file
- Shake to close!
- Vibrate on save
- Move app to SD
- Custom directory on SD
- Order file list by name, data or size in ascending or descending order
- Open .tec file directly from your favourite file manager
- Backup to Gmail folder
- Print text with Google Cloud Print h ttp://ww w.google.com/cloudprint
QR Code -> ht tp://qr code.kaywa.com/img.php?s=8&d=https%3A%2F%2Fmarket.android.com%2Fdetails%3Fid%3Dcom.tostis.notes
Sorry but i cannot post links.
Great to see but unfortunately I don't trust closed source. Having trouble finding a solution since WhisperSystems was bought by Twitter
Sorry for delay. What are your concerns about closed source in security application? Tostis Notes simply creates a binary AES encrypted file starting from your typed text. The key is your salted passphrase.
All other features like print or backup are written around this core feature.
Most of the permissions are required from advertising network but are not used if you buy the Pro version.
PS. You already sent me an email, right?
Hello all, I need to sync folders between my phone (Galaxy S2) and my Infinity... I use to do it with my PC but it's time is up, CPU failes... The folders are my music and photos folders, I would like to do this over the wifi in my house. The app must basically compare the folder contents on both the phone and tablet, and if there are any additions to either, they must be coppied to the other device. For instance if I take a few photos with my phone during the day, the app must detect that there are new files in the Camera folder and send those to the tablet, or if I put a mp3 file on my tablet it must be sent to my phone as well...
Are there any apps that do this? I am more than willing to pay for this functionality
Id like to know this too!

CHeck here:
http://www.estrongs.com/products/es-file-explorer.html
Basically, if your phone and your tablet are on the same wifi, you should be able to click the LAN tab, and then scan the LAN. It will show all the IP addresses of the devices on the network.
This works wonders.

I have been using FolderSync with good results.

Try GammaSync
For PC-to-Android folder synchronization (only one-way at the moment) I developed a free app which does not require external cloud storage services (like Dropbox or SugarSync). It's called GammaSync, and it's available on the Play Store. Maybe you'll find it useful

Does it work directly between two Android devices, without requiring to upload everything to the cloud from one device and downloading again on the other?

Syncs with the cloud.
Esexplorer will require you to copy/paste between devices. Foldersync with dropbox/box.net may be your best bet.
Foldersync allows scheduling of sync with cloud via wifi only or data plan. Its the best 'set it & forget it' option I've found

Hi all,
I developed a Android app, Sync notes. I hope some one could actually test it and give me their valuable suggestions
Sync Notes is a simple, light weight and elegant notepad application where you can take your notes down quickly. With its simple navigation UI taking notes is extremely easy. Save the notes to your Dropbox account so that the notes are only with you and secured.
Features:
• Create and save notes.
• Assign labels to notes
• Search notes
• Save notes in cloud to your Dropbox account.
• Save notes to SD Card
• Create or delete new labels
• Themes
• Fonts
Future Updates:
• New cloud options like Google Drive
• Widget
• Reminders
• Import notes from external storage
Here is the play store link,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mkr.notes
Thanks,
Murali
I like it so far ... except for the ads
Some things I would like ...
a) an option to lock labels so that they cannot be viewed without a pin/password/pattern
b) an option to delete in-built labels or to rename them (I do not want labels such as personal, ideas)
c) an "all notes" view where in all the notes are visible on the opening screen (except those falling under "locked labels" mentioned in (a) above),
I look forward to the option to sync with Google Drive and .... if possible sync with Google Keep (can be synced with keep so that we can even update notes through the PC?).
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions.
I'll implement these for the upcoming release.
once again thanks for using it.
Cheers,
Murali

Hi Paparasee,
A new release is uploaded to play store.
As you mentioned I implemented the pin lock, able to delete default labels and google drive implementations.
Also the UI has been updated and new features like import from sd card has been added.
Can you please install the latest app and tell your opinion.
Thanks in advance,
Murali

All - I have developed my first Android application, which is still in its infancy but fully functional.
The app is called CloudSocial, you can find it on the Play store.
I am hoping to get some constructive feedback on its ease of use, usefulness, appearance etc.
Why this app?
I have lots of photos on Dropbox, especially a lot of old ones. There was no easy way to get them onto Facebook without having to download to a device and then upload. You can obviously share a link to the Dropbox folder, but thats not the same as having them actually on Facebook for friends to like and comment on individual photos.
Similarily, my digital camera can upload directly to my NAS drive, which in turn uploads to my Dropbox account. Using CloudSocial - I can easily browse these photos and select which ones I want - and send them to a new or existing Facebook album, with whatever privacy settings I wish.
Description
Send photos from Dropbox to Facebook!
CloudSocial allows you to easily transfer photos from your Dropbox account to Facebook. You can transfer photos to existing Facebook albums, or create and send to new albums.
Features:
* Browse and Transfer photos directly from Dropbox to Facebook
* Easily create a new Facebook album for your photos, or add to an existing Facebook album
* Photos are not downloaded to your phone, so no large data transfers
* Choose Facebook privacy settings for new albums
* Photos are stored on Facebook, so your Friends can Like and Comment.
* Click on a thumbnail image to view a larger photo
Any concerns about permissions, let me know. The app cannot retrieve any passwords for either Facebook or Dropbox! No email addresses or any other user info at all is collected or stored.
The app is ad supported using admob.
Thanks for your time and feedback is appreciated (even critical).
Reserved for Q/A:
Q. Can this app see my password?
No - CloudSocial uses authentication provided by Dropbox and Facebook, so we are unable to see or store any passwords.
Q. Do I have to wait for the thumbails to be downloaded before I select and post my photos?
No - if you know what photos you want to send to your album, just select them (or select all) and hit the post button.
Q. How much data does the application use?
Only thumbnail images are downloaded from Dropbox (not full size images). These thumbnails are very small in size (around 15KB). They are also cached so they will not be downloaded again.
Q. If no images are downloaded to my phone, why does it take so long to send to Facebook?
CloudSocial has to ask Dropbox for a link to your photo. It can take around 1 second for each photo to get that link.
If you are posting a lot of photos to Facebook, it can take a bit longer to retrieve all the links. Good news is that this is done in the background so you can use your phone wihtout interruption.
Q. It takes a long time to list all my Dropbox photos?
If you have lots of images in a folder, it can take longer to list and display them all. You should consider reducing the number of images in a Dropbox folder by creating sub-folders.
Q. Why didn't all my photos transfer?
Occasionally there may be a couple of photos which don't make it. This is often due to internal server errors either on Dropbox or on Facebook. This tends to happen most when you are trying to upload a lot of photos (100+). We recommend uploading 60 or less at a time.
Tried this out and it works great, transferred a lot of photos using it (well my wife did and she found it easy to use).
I've left feedback and rated on Google Play. :good:
Sound good but I usually share my photos directly by url from Dropbox.

Thanks for the reply, I'm curious as to how you share your photos on Facebook. Do you have to share the photos individually?
If you want to share an album from Dropbox to Facebook, it only creates a link to the dropbox folder. So the user has to navigate away from Facebook in order to see the album. And they cannot comment on individual photos.
Also - you may not want everyone to see ALL the photos in an album. With my CloudSocial - you can select whatever photos you want from a dropbox folder, and send them to a new album, with whatever privacy settings you choose for that album.
Try my app and let me know if it is easier to share your photos and let me know!
Thanks

Fileseal currently supports Dropbox and Google Drive. We may add more depending on number of requests.
Just a quick update, someone just send us email asking why we need full network access, it is actually a good question, and we would like to clarify here as well.
Network access is used for synchronization of encrypted files with cloud storages, and for serving ads.
If upgraded to premium, as no ad would be served, the only network access would be for syncing files.
Nothing more than these.
More questions are welcomed, we would be adding these to our FAQ.
Our windows installer has been updated to 1.0.1. Fixed some issues user encountered during installation.
version 1.0.7 available
1.0.7
- fixed a bug which could cause crash on some device
- a more accurate check to see if selected folder is read only
1.0.6
- enhanced sync function
- more detailed error message if error occurs during password generate
great app!! thanks!!
1.0.8
- enhanced user interaction when opening files with no apps declared to view them
Hi,
I tried fileseal today because it seemed exactly like what I needed: Upload encrypted files to GDrive.
But it skips files bigger than 10mb and it apparently deleted the files that it uploaded. Or does it copy the files somewhere after they are encrypted.
-Is there an option to tell fileseal that all files, regardless of size should be encrypted and uploaded?
-Why where my files deleted or moved?
-I would like to still access the files with a normal file manager or photo app. Should I therefore have the files in two folders? One unsynced and unencrypted folder and one encrypted and synced folder?
Thanks!
I guess this project is dead?
