Write down secret notes with Tostis Notes. Text is encrypted with AES algorithm and saved on your SD card to make backup easier. Every .tec file has its own alphanumeric password and is stored by default in /sdcard/TostisNotes/ directory.
Share unencrypted text inside your note with application like GMail, SMS, Twitter etc.
Send encrypted .TEC file as attachment in GMail or backup it with Dropbox.
Print to any printer with Google Cloud Print.

Great to see but unfortunately I don't trust closed source. Having trouble finding a solution since WhisperSystems was bought by Twitter
Sorry for delay. What are your concerns about closed source in security application? Tostis Notes simply creates a binary AES encrypted file starting from your typed text. The key is your salted passphrase.
All other features like print or backup are written around this core feature.
Most of the permissions are required from advertising network but are not used if you buy the Pro version.

I m very interested about this topic and want to give some suggestion. You can download app SMS Backup & Restore. That will saves them to the SD card which can then be restored to ur phone. So I prefer SMS Backup that saves them to Gmail because having large message threads is a big source of lag and takes up internal phone memory.
Example:
Contacts: Go to people > menu > import/export > export to sd
Media: It is stored on your SD card so you can copy it to your computer

So the inbox / outbox will always be clean with 0 messages as they are all stored encrypted somewhere else? What kind of encryption is required ? And how would you want to read them (with app, pc...)? And why don't you add steganography as an added layer of protection (What if you were forced to give the pass when they see your xml + encrypted data) ?
That could be an interesting project to develop...

It still needs some work, it only stores in text, there is no encryption and it is storing duplicates some times. But I wanted to get it out there and see what people think. Oh, it probably asks for a million permissions it never uses (this is an adaptation of StalinPhone).
Should I store more/less data (gps & nearby wifis maybe... I do this in StalinPhone).
Are there formats other than xml people want? sqlite db? csv?
Should the logs be stored per day (as it is) or per conversation/contact/thread?

Fileseal currently supports Dropbox and Google Drive. We may add more depending on number of requests.
Just a quick update, someone just send us email asking why we need full network access, it is actually a good question, and we would like to clarify here as well.
Network access is used for synchronization of encrypted files with cloud storages, and for serving ads.
If upgraded to premium, as no ad would be served, the only network access would be for syncing files.
Nothing more than these.
More questions are welcomed, we would be adding these to our FAQ.

Hi,
I tried fileseal today because it seemed exactly like what I needed: Upload encrypted files to GDrive.
But it skips files bigger than 10mb and it apparently deleted the files that it uploaded. Or does it copy the files somewhere after they are encrypted.
-Is there an option to tell fileseal that all files, regardless of size should be encrypted and uploaded?
-Why where my files deleted or moved?
-I would like to still access the files with a normal file manager or photo app. Should I therefore have the files in two folders? One unsynced and unencrypted folder and one encrypted and synced folder?

We've added several features in this major update:
Smart Documents Names: this allows you to automatically name your documents in a flexible way using the current date, time or location and custom strings. For example, you can name all your documents with the template "receipt_<year>/<month>/<day>_<city>" and that would lead to "receipt_2016/05/11_Paris" if I were to scan a document today. You can even use custom fields when you need to input some text specific to each document (for example a client name, a company number...)
Tags: add tags to a document to organize them easily. You can then filter documents based on their tags or name.
PDF encryption: protect the PDF document you export with a password.
Passcode lock: lock Genius Scan with a passcode to protect sensitive scans
New scan flow: we've improved the scan flow to make it easier and faster to create multi page documents. You can now save a page to a document at the last step of the scan process and easily add a new scan to an existing document.

Hi~
You can clear the recent list item by "Clear history" on the bottom panel. WPSPDF is temporarily unable to delete the entire recent list, we will record the requirements.
WPS PDF is free, and no ads. Please make sure you have the correct app installed.

Thank you, but I ran into list that told me what WPS is actually accessing.
Seems to me WPS is actually nothing better than spyware... so I got rid off it completely.
On iPhone, the clipboard retains data only for about 20 minutes, and there is no concept of clipboard history.
On Android, different OEMs have different implementations. Samsung has a very neat clipboard history feature that allows one to copy something quickly and paste it elsewhere.
Here is the problem:
The clipboard retains the last copied item until the phone is rebooted. This allows any app that can access clipboard to see what is there, and may be keep a record of it too in its own data (although I don't think this is possible unless the user manually pastes it somewhere).
HOW CLIPBOARD SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED
1. Clipboard should be automatically erased by the OS every 20 minutes or so.
2. Clipboard Access should be a setting and users should be able to allow/ deny access per app (just like they can for other permissions like Camera, Microphone, etc.).
3. Clipboard History should be retained in a secure encrypted storage, so user can access it whenever he wants. No app should have access to the history. User must manually copy it each time it is required.
Use ColorNote to retain copies and hyperlinks. Auto backup to SD card or cloud.
I use it to store bookmarks as well.

That requires me to create a note each time, which is not convenient. Hope you're aware of the restrictions with clipboard starting with Android Q. I welcome this move to block clipboard monitoring by 3rd party apps.
If the OS allows to keep clipboard history, it should ensure no apps have access to it without user intervention.

Clipboard works ok on Q... scoped storage sucks. For those who think they can install anything they want rather than being careful what they install. No saving dumb bunnies... they always end up dead.
