Hi guys. I'm newbie at this, thats why i need help. tried unrEVOked3 and it doesnt work. as in instructions, I instaled unrEVOked drivers, then connected my HTC Desire via USB by HTC Sync, then started flash.exe.
unrEVOked3 restarted my phone in HBOOT USB PLUG mode, then restarted it again with normally android interface. at this point unrEVOked3 said that it "had lost connection to phone...try again".
tried on Win7 and Win XP.
What should i do?
Help please with it.

I have tryed rooting my Desire with Unrevoked.
Unrevoked just sits at waiting for device, I have installed the drivers and HTC Sync is uninstalled, the problem I get is when the phone is plugged in and switched on normal not in the bootloader I get an error in device manager with something called ADB, I am using windows 7 32Bit, any help would be great.
Dunno whether this is the right forum to ask ....
I was trying to S-off but failed in step 3 after being stuck for over 40 mins or so.
I rebooted in recovery and restored thru backup. From that point onwards whenever I connect my desire the comp asks for drivers for Android phone and does not recognize USB Drivers. But it recognizes as Bootloader interface in HBOOT USB Mode.
Also I'm trying to S-off with Virtualbox method but am not able to connect my Desire rather it's not able to recognize the device.
Just for clarifications, USB debugging is normal, am able to connect as disk drive and perform other normal functions.
Any help?
Nvm... Eventually did S-off with CD method...

Hey everyone,
So I wanted to try to root my htc desire but before I can even start...my laptop won't recognize my phone. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling the drivers, changing the "connect to pc" status on my phone and tried all the option. I made sure usb debugging was on. When I connect my phone to my laptop, my phone charges just fine, but its not recognized as a device. I'm not really sure what to do anymore so if you can please provide suggestions to help me out, that would be helpful. As a last resort, I might just try to do a factory reset on my phone and try, but I really don't want to do that if there are any other solutions to this problem. Thanks!
I am trying to unlock bootloader on a new htc one x(at&t) that i recently got. I have windows 10. When i connect my device to the computer it recognizes it easily. However, when i boot into fastmode, it doesnt recognize the device at all. i tried updating driver but nothing changed. What should i do???? please help me!
lPlease ignore. wrong forum
you probably need a PC running WinXP / Win7 to do it
the phone cant be recognized in Win8 or later even the HTC driver installed properly
