Is there a way to block or foward any incoming calls to voicemail so it won't drop my internet connection while tethering? Ive read about looking for DDTM mode in call settings but i dont seem to see anything like that in the Cyanogenmod. Maybe this for some other type of mod or even Sense. Any help would be appreciated. If this is the inappropriate thread to post this to, I appologize.
im tired of being nice...first READ THE FREAKIN RULES. DONT post in the wrong section. How does this qualify as a development thread??? look at the top of this forum and loook at the sticky threads!
QUIT BEING RETARDED AND LOOK AT THE ADMINS THREADS! THEY ARE PUT THERE FOR A REASON!

EDIT*****
My apologies i did see that you posted about the thread not being in the right section. This should be placed i nthe Q&A section i posted above at or the Cm6 thread. Sorry for being so harsh its just no one reads rules or follows and type of order around here and im tired of it.
i'm not aware of any way to stop the calls, because if u shut off the radio, it shuts off the data too (but u can shut off data but leave phone...)
I haven't seen any roms with a work around either. So i suggest you tell ur people just to text you first and u can call them back. haha.
Yep. DDTM is in the programming. Make sure your ROM has an HTC stock dialer and EPST (any simple Sprint ROM will work).
Dial ##3282#
Enter your MSL (you're responsible for retrieving this)
Go to "Advanced"
Scroll down to DDTM
By default, it's off. Enable it
This by default should block all calls when the data session is active. I'm not sure how it handles dormant data connections.

Hi, I don't know if a post has been put up, but I don’t know what to search for. I was wondering if any knew of any software on windows mobile 5 which will enable me to block specific incoming calls from my phonebook or calls as private or unknown numbers and sms/text messages.
Need something like this badly

Hi digigem,
I know there have been a few posts about this, with uploads of apps aswell. Try searching for whitelist and or black list.
This should steer you in the right direction
digigem - please don't multiple post. 5 cross posts suggests a more deep seated psychological problem perhaps?
I'm deleting the irrelevant ones.

Just thought that i would throw this out there, not sure if it's a duplicate post.
After upgrading to dutty's 6.1, the vmail was the wrong number and mms didn't work, also there was a number for text message service that i was wary about.
After some research i found the following.
I use AT&T so here is what i found
This is for MMS
https://www.wireless.att.com/support/deviceConfig.do?content=KB84421.htmll
And this is for the Vmail and sms

Hope this helps someone. I know it took me about 2 days to find these issues and about 2 hours of research to find these answers.
Have a great day!
those numbers are carrier dependent. They access some server of your account that stores that information. If you mess with the settings on this phone, those settings will carry to future phones. I screwed it up one time, and had to call AT&T to put in the right number, because I really don't memorize that voicemail number.
Use the Network Setup Wizard cab. Sleuth's 6.1 has it (which I'm back to after trying Dutty's). Search around. If you have it in Dutty ROM it would probably be in Settings, System or settings, connections. If it's there, try running it again.
Already fixed
My post was just for info purposes specific to AT&T.
These settings never even crossed my mind, as they were setup by the factory.
Hence the topic.
Just trying to help other people from making the same mistakes, trust me, when my wife started giving me hell for no pic messaging, I though i would tell others to save them from my fate!
Network setup cab, got it, thanks.
I have successfully set up my Droid for Sip calls both in and out. I am using sip2sip.info as my provider. The voicemail messages states something like "Box number 1000000 is not avialable now" then allows for a message (though unless you know you can leave a message it is unclear. The instructions on the site say to dial *70 to find voicemail options (and I would think there I could change this) but when I try dialing *70 the call won't go through. Can someone help me with this - do I have to enter something before the *70? I am dialing it from the Droid. Oops forgot to mention I am using Sipdroid on the phone.
I am sorry if I am posting this question to the wrong place, but I found a posting on this site that was excellent in helping me set up my Droid to use sip2sip, pbxes and ipkall so hopefully someone can help with this.
Thanks
Sue
Sorry if this has been addressed, I did search but no luck. Im extremely new to the droid world and even newer at getting it to do what I want
I have a rooted droid eris running cyan 7 GB. The phone is not activated.
Is there an app I can install that will allow my wife to send and recieve text msg's to cell phones only using wifi?
Also, wondered if there is a way to spoof the activation. Every time I reboot the phone it wants me to activate it. I had read you could start/stop the activation a few times and it will go away but when I try to activate I have no way to pull up a responsive number pad to enter "1". When the call is in progress and I pull up the number pad it is trying to dial a new call rather than working toward the active call.
Thanks in advance
I do know about texting via email but my kids have text msg only phones and just looking for a way for the wife to be able to text and receive the kids and I from the unactivated phone.
Why no replies, there have been lots of views? Have I put it in the wrong place? Should I post in a different form?
Wow, Im shocked!
All the info on this site and not a single response to my questions? :?
Not sure if Ive posted in the wrong place, asked unanswerable questions or broken some rule but figured Id get something with all the views the post has gotten.
Google talk or Google voice I believe will let u VIA WiFi

The latest WhatsApp feature is generating a lot of duplicate threads on XDA, drowning other threads in the process. Many are also posted in the wrong section. We're closing down all invite threads to keep the clutter down to a minimum. Instead, please use The Consolidated WhatsApp Calling Thread as a consolidated thread for all discussions related to the WhatsApp calling feature and invites. Thank you!
Read the rules before messaging anyone
we already have so many people whose whatsapp calling has been activated. now its our turn to help everyone.
so if you are interested in helping others, after your calling has been activated then let me know so that i can add your number to this post.
right now its just me but i am sure lot of others will help too.
read the rules before messaging anyone for activation
RULES1. have patience and check mine(or other members of the list) status. they might be sleeping or busy. so if their status is shown as available then message them or else message someone else or wait for their status to change.
2. inform the person who activated your calling that it has been activated for you.
3. message us after completing step 1. something like "step 1 completed" or " i am on whatsapp 2.11.561"
4. if it doesn't work for you then read the trouble shotting steps at the end
5. don't irriatte the person who is helping you by asking him again and again why its not working for you. read or post on xda threads(here or some other thread of your choice) . lot of threads on whatsapp calling.
6. if you want to chekc if its activated for you or not then, changed UI(3 tabs) is the first sign and you can also call any of your friends or give us a miss call.
here is the list (check their whatsapp status and also hit thanks here for me or on the profile or any other post of person who helped you )
1. +918826588871 (OP- me)
2. @snod33 PM him your number for activation.
3. +905337109525 id @burakd0gan
4. @vritant PM him for activation.
5. If you want to help others and want your number or id here then PM me.
How to get whatsapp calling
(don't post your number here)
1.download whatsapp from this link and install it
http://www.apkmirror.com/wp-content/...ad.php?id=6643
Your whatsapp should be version 2.11561. No need to download whatsapp from above link if its already 2.11561
2. Let me(or any other know after you have completed 1st step.
Message me(or others from the list) on whatsapp that you have installed version 2.11.561
Also check our whatsapp status if its "available" then go ahead. If its "sleeping" or something else then please wait for it to change.
3.i will call you and you need to answer the call and stay on call for at least 2 seconds.
For some even miss call was enough buy for some answering the call activated the feature. So better to answer the call.
4. Close whatsapp and open again.
Now you will notice the changed interface. 3 tabs. Calls, chats and contacts
If your calling is still not activated then wait for some time and i will call you again. Sometimes it takes 2-3 calls.
If its not getting activated for you then have patience.
Just let me know and I will try again after some time
If its activated then let me know as well.
Let me know if it worked for you.
You can hit thanks here an on other members profile who have helped you.
Trouble shooting1. Servers might be down.
2. Activations might have stopped
3. Your whatsapp version might be old. Check and make sure its 2.11.561
4. Make sure to quit whatsapp by pressing back button multiple times. Pressing home button is not the same as closing the app. Better to restart the phone if you are not sure.
Whatsapp activation
Does work
I PM'd, but I'm not sure if I have my correct phone number.. Where do you even check that?
When you set it up it shows the full number with + at beginning
