[Q] Flashing AVA ROM Issues

I have an HTC EVO 4G. I rooted it a few days ago using Unrevoked 3 because I wanted the free wifi tether app. I then realize how much rooting my phone really opens up for me. So I downloaded ROM Manager and flashed the ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.0.5 on it. I then flashed a custom ROM. I wiped all data and flashed it. I am running Fresh Evo 3.5.0.1. I decided I wanted to try a different ROM and I noticed one that has hulu. It is AVA FROYO Z3. I downloaded the ROM, wiped all data, and tried to flash it. When I did I got this error message:
“Amend Scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was depreciated by Google in Android 1.5
It was necessary to remove it when updating to the Clockwork Mod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip package”
And then the flash failed and I had to install from a recovery. Anyone know why it wont let me flash this ROM. I would appreciate it.
By the way this is what my software information is:
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: 2.15.00.11.10

The new version of CWM (v3) uses a new script to install ROMs. If a ROM hasn't been updated to the new updater script, CWM3 won't be able to install it. You're SOL until AVA gets an update, or you roll CWM back to a v2 build
Sent from my Uber Incredible
Will downgrading to CWM2 have any negative affects on my phone? How would I go about downgrading if I decided to? And can I upgrade back to version 3 if need be in the future?
It shouldn't have any bad effects. You can do it through ROM Manager (Install Older Recovery of something like that, pick one of the v2 options) and you can upgrade to 3 again through ROM Manager when you want to.

[Q] Downgrading From ClockworkMod V3 to V2

And then the flash failed and I had to install from a recovery. I was told that the clockworkmod version 3 uses a script that isnt supported by this rom and I am out of luck until they update their rom or I downgrade back to a clockwork version 2. Will downgrading to CWMv2 have any negative affects on my phone? How would i go about downgrading? and is it possible to upgrade back to CWMv3 if needed?

[Q] cyanogen 6 froyo

Is it possible to install flash on Froyo rom,and somehow update the market?

[Q] Twrp 2.3 over Twrp 2.2

Am wanting to update TWRP 2.2 to TWRP 2.3. Can I install this new update over the older version of TWRP or do I have to wipe anything first? Have dowloaded TRWP 2.3 for wingray.img. The device is motorola xoom wifi running cm 10.1 rom. Also should I use the afore mentioned download or would a zip file be the way to go? I am using the TWRP 2.3 version on my Nexus 7 and do like it alot. No problems with TWRP 2.2 on my xoom except it is'nt recognizing my ext. sd card. Also on TWRP website they recommend upgrading to latest version when running jb rom. Any input would be great. Thanks!
Found my solution for TWRP upgrade.

Found my solution in Goo Manager. Went to "install open script recovery" and it found the newest version and automatically installed it. Am now running TWRP 2.3.3.0 on my xoom and fixed my problem with installing within TWRP from my ext. sd card.
