Hey guys... working on a theme for CM6 and wanted to post what i got done so far... right now its just the framework, and I'm not even done with that yet
This is a port of my black gloss theme for vibrant, but as CM is so different from touchwiz, I have had to change quite a few things.
Please do not use these images in other things without permission

The dialer is amazing..seen it over in the galaxy thread
Just flashed, and must say, I really like. I threw some screen shots up on the "post your home screen" page. This is the first theme I've found where everything is black/grey, everything other one either had color in the notifications or somewhere. Really like the UBS connection screen. Awesome job!!

No they aren't. I dont like theming icons since i cant make everyone happy. Someone always complains and wants a version without icons.

Made the slider icons lighter... i think they look much better now. As for nightlies, i have no plans to support them since they are nightly.

UPDATE
This Mod is like DamageR_2.7 ULT editionI wouldve just updated, but
there are ALOT of changes so it is separate. Same deal as with
DamageR though, all the fixxes in 1 rom; so it is large, i spent yesturday slimming it
down, i knocked off 10mb. Takes ave 8-9min. for initial boot,from then
on its business as usual. If you are coming from DamageR just flash over
Any other than damage based you should wipe. For those that dont like
certain theme elements check attatchments for stock flashbacks.... Feedback is welcome:

A few days ago i started on a theme but then my 7zip took a $h!t,and i lost a
little time but while i was doing less i was thinking more. So I came up with
alot cooler theme Its my H3r0 Theme & dialer plus an optimized version of
my DamageR_mod(H3r0 as in Optimus Prime). Its really big and im working on a update once again
to slim it down,2 more themes too. After first boot though all is well once
again in the land of android. Just like DamageR, get all the L8est fixes in one
rom, no extra flashing
UPDATE: Slimmed it down 10mb,added new icons,touched up theme
and swapped jog bar buttons

When i first started this i didnt realize i couldve made them opaque, so i
just patterned the stat bar and made it 30% transparent so i could see
the clock. When i was going through everything i was looking for all the
rosie and jog buttons. ill have to go back and find them again, so i just
put it up and ill get it when i get a chance.....Its not as easy to fix them
for me as it is for you, im 5days into themes so give me a week or two

I like to keep things new, so i had to switch it up I was working on
one with optimus prime transforming from a truck into a robot(to keep with
the transformers theme) but i have to mess with it a little more....also i was
leaving in the original kb too, but when i slimmed it down i had to choose....and i
like the aosp one better now,seems a little more accurate. Glad you like it
so far, pm me and ill get you a cool kb. Also before DamageR i made a
vanilla mod, that im revamping with what i know now. If you are not a sense
fan you would like this one. The bootscreen from that one is my favorite.
its called 3-d mod. Also if you want another boot screen you have another
one in the system/media folder, just use file explorer go into the folder
rename it bootanimation.zip and change the name of the other one by a
letter or # and you will have another bootscreen

If you want...i have clear taskbar icons available for themers to use. They are on my Thearmo page, at the bottom under the add-ons. Download them, and drop them into your res folder, and viola! you wont have those black squares around your task bar icons anymore!

I was happy with it and im currently working on alot of new projects....all my roms are generally an advance in my work and skills....but i support my mods and anyone that dls them 100% so if i cant make you something better or you dont like any of my new stuff, what would you like to see done to OptimusRom? (old)Ive been exp battery issues after a days use, and im trying to narrow down the problem...Im working on an update with the new rom and fixes because i would like to run this but i need my battery life too like my DamageRs.....I modded them to have awesome battery, but the same mods on an aosp dont have the same effect, same with my opengl hacks....IM WORKING ON THE UPDATE, bear with me, im only making it better
After taking all of the comments from last nite into consideration, and staying up all nite to finish, I updated the mod with a new launcher, i modded the helix, made two more fonts for the two ver. KKD_MODv3.2G and KKD_MODv3.2lite I fixed EVERYTHING i had comments on....Also i added 5 fonts in update.zip form for anyone in case they dont like what they see....
Ive fallen into a bad habit where i CANNOT flash a rom w/o modding it to my liking......So this is a beta v. MOD of darch's latest and greatest...I HAD to try it. Made me jump Damage Ship for a sec. Still testing, but afict everything is working nicely. Im touching it up now and ill put up the beta in a bit....This is not a beta to me, but ill wait till i get a little feedback to polish it.

TBH though, I hate the stock white notification bar from AOSP builds.. looks especially goofy to me with roms like this where everything else is themed darker

You could take the rom or theme and put your own fonts in before flashing.

I wasn't bashing anybody and i agree the fonts are pretty bad but the theme otherwise looks good. I just said you guys could always install your own fonts.

Wow those fonts would give me a headache but outside of that great job, always glad to see more roms around the forums! I'll give it a shot.

Me neither, it was my beta and that font looked cool on my pc, in my post up there i explained the whole situation and that YOU WONT GET THIS FONT in giant letters...... Just sick of looking @ stock anything and i like to experiment...Most ppl dont like what i do.I do it for myself, and the ppl that follow what i do, really like my stuff..... Sort of a LOVE HATE deal....

If youd looked into what i do youd see i include the stock font with any of my mods because few ppl like mine, and i explained the pictured font in the op...You should really try one and flash one of my update zip stock fonts.....You shouldnt let font stop you from flashing ANY rom, you might miss something really sweet. I have ppl that hate red but ran my red theme till i up'd somthing new because they appreciate what i do.....Sorry youd let a update.zip for stock font stop you from trying something new...Not really looking for fans anyway, just maybe a few ppl that enjoy my mods as much as i do, and i achieved that goal a LONG time ago, without about 98% of cdma hero not looking twice @ what i do, so im used to it and idrc.

Sorry you dont like my app drawer launcher, i learned how to make glass effects so i made that reflection at the top to accent the taskbar, and made the app drawer launcher indicators green to match the system highlites, and lastly i made the button presses on the swype/android hybrid kb orange to match the search bar highlight...... LOOK CLOSER...It matches and IT IS themed...if i couldnt match colors and shapes thered be no point in themeing..Also, i looked for soooo long to find statusbar_backround, and its not the same part in this rom so i couldnt change it. I really wanted to make it just like the launcher drawer originally... All the ideas are very good, but its much. harder to make them materialze.....its easy to say this stuff after you see it.... but i took the time to MAKE it....Thanks for being honest....im sure you can appreciate my honesty as well...

Nope. I waited till he fixed it before i themed it. Camcorder works now too
7 comments; 1 compliment, 1 person keeping the peace, and 5 complaints......I remember a while ago i talked to damage and he was *****ing us out for ragging on DC and what needed to be [email protected] first i thought he was a ****, but ive slowly come to understand him over time.....he was never a ****, i just had NO IDEA where he was coming from.....Itd be a little more helpful if instead of telling me what you dont like, how bout telling what you do like and put it up for me to use so i can make my stuff more accepted by you......Thats EXACTLY what id do, so i dont think its very far fetched to expect it here on a development site...negativity and complaints are soo easy to put out there, but compliments, constructive criticism, and offering a logical solution dont seem to be the common choice around here.....Sorry if anyone finds this a bit harsh, do not take offense. I have been working on this since yesturday to get it up here so ppl can have a modded aosp if they wish, and it seems that all my work is wasted because of something as simple to change as font, is not well liked......I would think anyone following the developement sub forum would know how to change font, or flash an update.zip containing it.....Whats that old saying?? Thanks, happy you appreciate the work......I wish i could make my own by now as well, but for now ill settle for modding and themeing. Ive been reading about compiling source so i can build my own from aosp for about a month and i think i may be ready to dive in soon

No I understand, I've tried doing themes but with two kids it's hard to find the time anymore. I've just personally never liked the look of just the white notification bar, I prefer the Sense black style our Hero's came out of the box until we flashed them to hell and back. The launcher looks good and I get where your coming from to match the launcher to the taskbar. Overall it looks good, and unlike a lot of the other ones I like that font alot and want to try it. If anything it looks like it could stand to be smaller, but again, that's more of an Android issue considering the system resizes the base fonts for the different parts of it and the stylized fonts must be larger to give it the style.
Don't mind the complaints, there's always a place for any sort of theme or rom you can come up with. If anything maybe do a screencap with the stock font at the top of the post for comparison (and since you do provide it as well), then do the rest with the font you want to do. I think that would help with the font complaints.

I wasn't bashing anybody and i agree the fonts are pretty bad but the theme otherwise looks good. I just said you guys could always install your own fonts.

Sorry you dont like them....you have any cool fonts i could put up that EVERYONE will like for ppl since everyone seems to be turned away by any font i choose????....ill put it up in an update.zip when i get done putting the rom up....

When did thus get fixed ( battery drain ) I flashed the newest update and still have 100% awake time and a massive battery drain

ok guys here is a theme i have been currently working on and just wanted to know if you guys had any interest in it. it doesn't have a proper name but its code name is Zen. feel free to suggest names and i will choose whichever i think suits it best. The theme is in a alpha stage at the moment as there are still lots of areas i plan on themeing. im also not 100% sure on the dock yet and currently testing ideas for a new one. i hope at least some of you guys are interested .

no reason its just the style of the wallpaper im using which was created by daaxix from twitter. i asked someone to provide me with a simple wallpaper i could use with my theme and he responded with this.
It's fine, I just thought it would look cleaner and more natural if it wasn't there

lol i dont know i just preferred it to the grid of squares on stock. if people dont like it i can try find a replacmenet yeah you have to be rooted.

This is the best theme I have seen since gChrome!
I converted this wallpaper from a Gnome (Ubuntu) wallpaper because I liked it. I set the line up so that the bottom row of icons on the phone lie in the dark region. This allows for a dark and light region, I use the upper light region for a google calendar widget, which makes the text easy to read.

sense sucks(except for some of the widgets) so dont worry about doing anything w/ sense...as much red as we can get for cm6 would be great...i would try to do some stuff w/ the status bar like changing the 3g/wifi icons, the time, also i like that battery icon that was on your other red customization (the circular red one)...just a few suggestions, i will try to think of some more...thanks dude, your stuff is badass!

I'm kinda leaning toward theming that Rom... 2.2 with sense is pretty nice, plus I don't see issues with cm6 getting fixed anytime soon. Im so torn between the two roms, cm has trackball wake and customization for long pressing the home button but the new 2.2 rom has internal storage and may have a working camera soon.
I should've put a little more thought into that poll... opinions anyone?
I think you should work on the most functional roms first. That way your time won't go to waste, you'd be theming a Rom that no ones going to be using. Thinking you should really go with sky raider for now.
And I agree about the launcher on sense its the main reason I don't use sense ui. Wait till a real stable cm 6 comes out then make a bada** theme for it.. ill get your kid some nice power rangers if u do!

I think as the bugs are worked out over the next couple (few?) weeks, a lot of people will be moving over to Cyanogen.

+1 to red CM6...Cyanogenmod's gonna be HOTTT!! Verizon made the highlights red, so its only fitting...Dark status bar with a transparent window!

What are the chances you could package a red themed NexusMod live wallpaper with your red theme? In particular the wallpaper from the droid. That would be sick, and I can't find the damn wallpaper anyway.

My girlfriend would freak if you could make an all purple theme and I told her I would but it wouldn't get done until the next major android update comes out. She saw this thread and begged me to post to ask you. Thanks.

Chances are slim, unless you can get me the source code for it... then i may be able to hack it, but that would take me forever since i have no skills
Of course, if you use CM roms nexus mod is included.

Hey everyone This theme is a complete "re-colorization" of the popular MattedBlues theme by jabbawalkee. I take ZERO credit for any and all custom graphics you find in the theme. Jabbawalkee originally created this theme. All I did was change the color from blue to purple. It's possible you'll find some graphic anomolies. If you do, please be kind and leave some feedback for me. I tried my best to make sure things were in working order before posting it here but I'm human and I'll keep working on this as time permits.

Which recovery do I use to flash this? I only use Amon_RA Recovery, v1.8.0.1. Give that a shot if you are running into problems using Clockwork.

Which lockscreen does this theme come with by default? It works with whatever lockscreen you're currently using. The Vanilla lockscreen screenshot you see is because I ripped Sense out of the ROM I was using when I was working on this, primarily to show that the theme worked with the Vanilla lockscreen too. I should've posted a screenie with the HTC lockscreen but oh well So, again, if you're using the HTC lockscreen it'll work with the HTC lockscreen. If you're using a Vanilla lockscreen it'll work with the Vanilla lockscreen.

Actually, if you flash the theme as it is it will default to whatever lockscreen you're currently using I should make a note about that in the OP. I'll do that right now. Just flash away and have a nice day. You won't have to do anything else except flash it and it will not force your lockscreen to one or the other.

I flashed your theme and ITS SO CUTE...lol but the notification bar is a little plain and manly. I was wondering if you can change this notification bar so that when I flash it it doesn't change the color scheme? I actually flashed this file and it change almost everything to Green....boooooo!! I love this purple and like the other ladies mentioned...pink would be nice. This bar has the little neon Andy guy in the right corner, its from the Fresh 3.3.0.1 ROM

AWESOME...can't wait but I don't think this notification Bar is from MANUP. I have it on FRESH 3.3.0.1, EVOZONE and RUJULES22. This Andy is a neon outline with a black transparent background. Anything you can do however is greatly appreciated.
