Hello there. I am about to buy HTC Touch Pro 2 from Verizon. And i really like the new WM 6.5.1 with Leo. But my question is do i always do hard reset before i even install a new ROM? And if i backed up my original ROM, do i install it the same way as i am installing a new cooked ROM? THanks.

No necessary to hard reset before installing new ROM, just be sure to have a backup of your personal data.
More or less is the same process.
Have a deep read to this section that is for CDMA TP2

Good luck,
What's more important is that you hard reset AFTER you install a new ROM.
Also not necessary, unless the ROM itslef performs a hard reset
I hope you remember me and can help. My Nexus one is still running like a champ, however I currently using a Rooted HTC sensation 4g TMO. It was rooted with the revolution tool , S is off. When i rooted it I did a nandroid backup of original rom with the super user. I always like having that just in case anything goes wrong. Well something went wrong, after flashing several roms without difficulties other than bugs in the roms, while flashing one of the new ICS roms by elegancia version 1.0.1 something strange happen. All my save roms and some data just disappeared including my stock rom backup. When I partition my sd card I did save all info from my Sensation on my laptop desktop in a folder. I was able to find the backup of orignal stock rom however I am unable to install on the phone, its on the sd card but I dont know how to install it. I went to recovery mode, rom manager, es file explorer etc. I am lost here. can you help direct me on hwo to restore it or recommend somrthing to me. With insatabilty in some roms it always good to have original one.
Thanks in advance,
A week ago I installed the official firmware ICS rom from XDA and rooted it. As my Samsung Kies would not recognize my device anymore, I decided to trie a factory reset. The only problem now is that I still end up with ICS after the factory reset... Does anyone know how this is possible?
I really would like to go back to the original firmware so I can sill use Kies
(I'm from Belgium)
You overwrote the original rom so only way to get it back is reinstall that rom onto your phone. You can't just factory reset as your original factory installed rom is deleted.

What phone do you have?
Sgs2, I installed the official ICS from a thread in XDA. As I am a newbie to this, I have no idea whether the original ROM was overwritten (probably...)

I have an HTC One and have been Rooted for a while and recently found a ROM that I would like to flash. I have flashed ROMs before so I thought it was no big d eal but it had been a while and I just so happened to wipe my OS and I would like to flash a ROM and I have nl o way of getting an OTG-USB anytime soon. I still get into my TWRP recovery mode but I can't do anything with it. I have the file [adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20131030.zip] for the SDK but I can't seem to get anything to work for me. Please Help!
About 7 years ago a friend gave me their old HTC Evo Shift that wouldn't boot, I decided to flash it with cyanogenmod 7 to see if it would work and to my surprise it did. Given that I wasn't able to boot to stock I didn't bother to save any contents of the existing ROM (if that was even possible?).
Recently I found it again and I wanted to see if I could flash it back to the stock HTC Sense ROM, however I'm having trouble finding the stock ROM, was it ever released? If so does anyone know where I could find it?
