just purchased a vodafone vda v aka htcs710 four days ago-all was fine till little email mismatch happened and due to my own ignorance i did clear storage-which has reset the phone to org factory settings in german....how do i get back to english and has the config changed?pl post help urg as my own knowledge is limited.....thanx

Your ROM includes English. You only have to change it in settings. I can't speak German, so write you in english: Start=> Settings=> Regional settings. Here you can change language and location
If you want flash another language ROM, use SSPL and find some ROMs one post higher

I have a new Imate JAM (Docod) from taiwan and it is in japanese or some sort of an asian language.
I need to flash an english rom to be able to work with it.
I know how to flash ROMs, I just need to know if this is possible and where do I get this english ROM.

well the only problem you could run into is COUNTRY ID CODE ERROR and its not a big worry if read the thread below twice or thrice may be more than that and then follow it......i am sure you will figure that out too.... its piece of cake trust me only if you understand it properly.
download the rom and upgrade it...and if you get country code then follow this thread its not a big problem trust me...

by BRUSH i think he meant he upgrading the rom.
weakass chinese - english translation software is to blame.
brush means flash,
if i'm guessing right, he followed the guide on XDA forum to flash his kaiser with the hardspl and then wants to flash to taiwan english version rom, which should be the same as the hk english, known as the wwe rom, he flashed it upto 36% and suddently it stop, so he thinks there is something wrong with the rom, so he is requesting another copy of the rom and may be some help too.
since i have no experiences in flashing wm phone, may be someone can help out.

I think he is trying to say the flash fail after 36% progress, then screen turn into wrong color? He is probably has the HardSpl installed and flash with a WWE version of ROM with CHT support. He wants a CHT ROM to reflash.

Your expertise in helping me (and all other users who read this post) is highly appreciated. I had WM5 with Arabic support, meaning I could read and write in Arabic charactersitcs. Now that I installed WM6, Arabic is no longer supported. How can I use Arabic in wM6, also, is there anyway for me to copy any data, files, etc from WM5 to WM6 so that it could read/write Arabic?((((phone--i-mate sp5))))

Changing the language, you must flash your device with another ROMs. WWE = World Wide English.

Delete your Serial number for privacy, I think your P/N indicates you have a T-Mobile model? Perhaps try one of the ROMs for that?
Alternatively, install HardSPL on your device. This is a custom bootloader which will allow you to flash generic ROMs. There is a link that will help you in my signature, I will help if you have further questions
