I got a QTEK 9100 and I'm stuck at the bootloader screen, it feels like i've tried everything but I can't start the phone.
So I read this tutorial:

And when I run the Wizard Love Rom exe it tries to verify my phone, but since it's at bootloader screen, ActiveSync won't connect, which results in error from RUU.
Am I doing something wrong or can someone please give me detailed instructions on how to fix this, since I really need my phone!

I am not sure what you are describing.
It seems like maybe you are trying to install the ROM but RUU won't connect because you are in the bootloader?
Does your phone boot into a ROM, or is is stuck in the bootloader?
If so, do not despair, as long as you see the bootloader your phone can be revived.
I will try to help but need a more thorough description of what you have done and what state your phone is in.
Yes my phone is stuck in bootloader, and every time I boot the phone, I get stuck in the bootloader. This happend after I got stuck in a ROM installation on 99%.
And ActiveSync won't connect since I can't get out of bootloader.
And I don't think that the phone is CID Unlocked.

Some versions of RUU require ActiveSync, others don't. I found an RUU that works from just the bootloader, but I don't remember where. Perhaps it was RoryB's kitchen, I know he included an RUU, and I think maybe it works from just the bootloader.

I flashed my g4, using shell tool, to core 2.0n. After the hard reset it just sits at the boot screen listing ipl 2.25, spl 2.25, gsm 02.25.11, os 10.2.0.8.
When booting it to the boot loader I try to flash with the htc 8125 rom, but this fails with error 274 or 260.
Any help would be appreciated.

Some G4's can't be flashed with the ROM on the HTC site, but can be flashed with the Wizard Love ROM. I'd try that. It's saved me several times.
Or try a hard reset before flashing another rom. See if it fixes the problem
If your phone makes it to the boot screen it isn't bricked.
It isn't bricked. It shouldn't be. If he flashed the Core 2.0n it's impossible that a OS only ROM would brick it because it doesn't touch the bootloader or the extended rom. Plus, from what i understand the ShellTool flashes OS only and that means even if the ROM he was trying to flash contained an IPL/SPL , then only OS would be flashed.
The fact that it even gets to the bootloader screen is proof enough it isnt bricked.... reinstall the carrier update and try something else.
Oh Sorry, he tried to reinstall the carrier ROM .. disregard.
I tried the love rom, but it errors out with error 300, invalid argument ( I think it looks like italian) =/
I've rebooted my pc, did a couple hard resets on the phone and verified the phone is being detected. The USB sync driver is loading. Seems every flash utility cant see the phone even when in the boot loader.
BTW it fails at the point where it tries to verifiy the information on my phone. if that helps.
Is your PC XP or Vista? If its Vista, it can't talk to a phone in bootloader mode. If you are XP then you should be fine but then I'm not sure why you can't flash the Wizard Love rom...
I'm using xp.
When you put it into boot loader mode, is USB in the lower left corner?

Have you tryed a hard reset ?
yes twice the second time when it rebooted I forced it to boot the boot loader before it tried to boot the OS.
And you have tryed taking out your SD card, and flashing the Wizard Love rom directly from the RUU (not with ShellTool) ?
You have enough battery ?
I have been using the flash utility, I don't know how to use shell tool without the scripts, and I can't install any of the cabs since it wont boot into the OS. I just tried on another xp machine and both the cingular rom utility and the love rom failed to communicate with the phone.
any other ideas?
edit: oh and I should have near if not 100% battery ( been plugged into a pc since the problem started and it was 100% when I started this mess. =) SD card has always been removed.
FYI, even though it has been plugged into the computer, it may not have enough battery. From my experiences, it drains the battery even if it is plugged in. Luckily, I have a second wizard so when my first battery drained (and wouldnt recharge even when plugged into the wall) I just popped the second battery in and i could flash it again. See if you can find a charger or something for the battery, and then once it is charged, let me know and I will give you a ROM i have that saved my other wizard (which is a G4 and no it isnt wizard love)

well I tried the rom and it said error 300 this version cannot be used with your phone try a newer version (best I can figure from the italian?)

Are you sure you don't have a G3 ? Hmm, I think you have a G3 and that's why it doesn't work. Try and flash the Tmobile 2.26
If your ipl 2.25, spl 2.25, then you defenively have a G3 CID UNLOCKED
Go back to Button's 1.05 ROM, CID UNLOCK it and then flash the Tmobile 2.26 and then flash Core 2.0n

I have a problem with my I-Mate JAM, It loads the OS.. but after everything Installs it converts to the BootLoader screen, and remains unuseable.
If I rest the phone, it loads straight to the Bootloader screen, but if I take off the Battery cover, leave it for a few seconds, then replace it and turn the phone on... It will load the OS setup again, but go back to the BootLoader.
So how can I fix this, and what must I do? Please help me ASAP. The Rom/OS is Windows 2003 SE.

bootloader problem
i have the same issue, the os loads, starts installing and goes right back to the boot loader. I can not install anything, if I try to upgrade, it starts but goes back to bootloader and gets stuck.
Help will be much appreciated.

Did you unlock your device by SDA ApplicationUnlock before upgrading ??
try reconnect with usbActivsync and run SDA ApplicationUnlock after that make sure the device go to the boot loader and flash back....
imate jam bootloader issue
I did the SDA unlock, it says unlocked and asks me to reboot. After rebooting it goes to bootloader again.

if so now remove the battery and sim card from the device, wait until about 10 minutes after that replace the batteries and make sure the device go to bootloader and reflash....
Hi everyone, i got an issue with my cel phone, i update it with the RUU_EVITA_UL_JB_45_S_Cingular_US_3.18.502.6_Radio_0.24p.32.09.06_10.130.32.34 and after that my phone starts in a boot loop , the AT&T logo appears but then restarts again ,and again ,etc.-
I tried to conect it to the Pc so i can put another RUU Rom ,but computer cant install the drivers so is not recognize .-
The phone is not unlock
Please i dont know what to do , i tried a lot of thing like fastboot rebot,recovery,etc but nothing seems to work , if anyone can help me i will be gratefull

try a factory reset from recovery hold the power button and volume down till the lights at the bottom start blinking when the phone shuts off keep holding the volume button and let go of the power button this should get you into bootloader then select recovery from there

If the drivers aren't correctly installed, the RUU is never going to run. I think that is the main problem. Find the latest drivers (HTC Sync), reboot the computer, make sure you have admin rights, etc. Also try a different USB port, or try another computer, if possible.

Yes you are right , te phone is stock , also y tried reseting the recovery and nothing happend, the problem is what you said i think , i will try with the laptop and tell you what happend

RUU doesn't care about recovery, it re-installs stock recovery automatically.
Well i made what you told me , first i tried to put the same RUU and it flashed it but issue remains , so i tried to put an older RUU ( downgrade it ) process starts but suddenly stopt with 140 error : bootloader version error .-
I don´t know wich version i can istall if process show me that error .-Or which RUU version can put on it

You can't use a previous RUU if the hboot is older. So that error is normal and expected.
You will need to run the 3.18 RUU. Try to download it again. Might just be a bad download.

i already download from htc site and the same happend
Well i finally solve the problem ,after updating with the same RUU many times ,what i do ( don´t know how it works) i flash recovery, when the screen show the red triangle with the exclamation sign , i push power button for about 10 sec ,and the cel phone restarts ok.-
Now i want to know what can ido with this RUU,im afraid if i restar the cel againg the same thing is going to happend .-
I tried to rooted but no succes
I got a doubt what should i do first ?? unlock bootloder or root the phone first ??

First thing you need to do is read the stickies in this q&a section. Then read stickies in android development section. Then if you have questions, ask. If you just ran the 3.18 ruu though, you're sol, no root/bootloader unlocking possible.

Its not clear from your posts whether the phone was actually updated to 3.18 firmware or not. But the hboot has at least been updated to 2.14.
If the phone is on 3.18 firmware, you can't unlock the bootloader and you can't root.
Well thanks for all the answers , but sorry to say, i continue with the loops anda suddenly the phone starst fine, but when in rebbot it for some reason keep on with the loop issue.-
Instead of that i notice a strange thing happend , as i told , got wifi problems on this model , but as shown in the picture above , i pull out the micro sim,so no mobile data, data conection or network operator set and im connect to my wifi network , thats is strange ,if i put the sim ,the cel phone automatically set the network operator ,and if i set the APN , wifi signal desapears and beggin the known issue for this model on wifi signal and connections .-
Any idea of wath can be ??

if you can get your phone to boot and stay booted for atleast 30 minutes. could you install and run this app. eMMC Brickbug Check it will check if the phones memory is good. i havent heard of any bad emmc on evita but maybe you have one, since you seem to be having a similar problem to what i had on an htc ace. also you could reboot into stock recovery and do a factory reset or clear cache, see if you get any errors i got emmc errors on my ace before the partitions finally decided to crap out. you could go through the unbrick thread to repair partitions before the die completely, my theory was doing a similar thing to this ace to repair it.

I was able to get it back to bootloader mode and then recovery, so i tried to flash the ROM again, same result. I now have no way to transfer a new ROM over to my SD card and attempts to flash this ROM i downloaded through fastboot have all failed. I dont know what to do at this point, please help.
You haven't given enough information. What are your bootloader details? What recovery and version are you using? Which ROM did you flash? Did you do a factory reset from bootloader?

If s-on, do you realize that you need to flash boot.img seperately using fastboot (for any hboot 1.14 or higher)? This is the most common reason for bootloops when flashing a ROM on this device.

I am trying to help a buddy out and getting his phone working. The phone is not rooted in any way shape or form.
Here are my issues
The phone will not boot into the stock rom. I can get it into the bootloader. Which I went to htcdev. To unlock the bootloader. Followed the steps and was able to get the phone screen to show unlock bootloader. But when I hit yes it reboots and stays on the white htc screen. Then it will keep rebooting. When I go back into bootloader. It still shows the bootloader as being locked? Any suggestions. I haven't flashed anything in about 3 years. But only Samsung things.

I tryed that as well. Thinking it is kinda like Odin for samsungs. But as soon as it try to reboot into bootloader. It stays on the white htc screen
The RUU was running completely through and it still not booting?
I will take a picture of the screen. It does not go all the way through. Also I tryed the Ota. Zip. And changed it to PL80IMG and placed it in my SD card. It looked as if it went through and it told me to reboot. But still nothing.
This is what's happening.
Forget the OTA. It won't solve anything for you.
I also think, your bootloader must be locked to run the RUU.
And i think it is your only chance to get the phone back running, because there is no stock rom or backup for boost (as far as i know).
I am OK with rooting it. But in order for me to do it I have to get the bootloader to unlock which I can't seem to do. It does all the motions to unlock. Until the phone reboots
What i have found in this few minutes, Error 171 should be a driver issue.
So, you should make sure that the correct drivers are running (HTC Sync). Maybe another PC could be also a good try.
And you can't root a phone which is not booting into OS. You need a OS.
Is there different drivers I could try besides tc sync. I have tried both computers that I have one has windows 8. The other has windows vista.both have htc sync on them. Also tried a different cable.
If I type in cmd fast boot devices it shows my device being connected. The error shows up while it is waiting for the boot loader to reconnect

Yea, my main goal is to get it to boot up. I was hoping it was an easy fix. Like with the Samsung epic I had. Just slap it in with odin and boom. after I couldn't get the RUU to work I figured I would try to root it. but since I can't even get the bootloader to unlock. I am stuck and that's the biggest reason I posted. normally I wouldn't I try to read other post and/or youtube it to find someone with a similar problem.

Yes, you should be in fastboot (USB) mode.
Ok so I downloaded the drivers you recommend. It was different then the ones I had. I also downloaded the RUU from the htc site as well just in case. Will try when I get back home. Thanks again.
So here is what I have. I downloaded driver v4.11.0.001. And installed. Downloaded ruu k2_cl_jb_45_s_sprint_wwe_boost_3.05.653.4......
I went into cmd and type fastboot devices. My device showed up. Ran the ruu. Samething happened. The ruu stops because when the phone reboots. It doesn't reboot to the bootloader.
Also I tried in cmd to get the phone to reboot to bootloader with no luck. Is there any thing else I can try?
My HTC One mini swtiched off a couple of days ago and since then only load to bootloader menu no matter what I click or do. It goes also automatically to this screen as soon as I plug it with the charger even if did not press the on/off key.
I tried to unlock the bootloader according to the instructions on HTCDev.com site. Everythings work till the last step, as no menu appear on my phone asking me if I want to unlock the bootloader or not.
I also tried to use RUU to install a new Firmware. The phone showes a black screen for a couple of seconds and then restart again to bootloader screen. I got an error afterwards.
The phone was running on a stock firmware, no root, no custom recovery, or any other thing.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem. It seems my phone has no OS or something like that.

it appears ive inadvertantly deleted my rom i successfully unlocked bootloader installed recovery but over killed me wiping. Sso ive got an unlocked bootloader, have access to fasboot and recovery but fone is stuck at bootlader screen. How do I flash a rom now? as when hooked to a pc its no longer recognised. any help much appreciated!!!

I seem to be in the same situations... although I got to it in a different way. Where did you download the RUU from? is it version-main: 4.14.401.2 or higher?
Try: rootwiki dot net and search for htc one mini bootlocker unlock....this helped me to UNLOCK and put TWRP recovery on it... maybe it gets you a step closer.
