First time posting here.
At the school where im going is a proxyserver, so i cant use my HTC Desire for internet surfing, couse android lacks the proxy settings
Does anyone know if there is an app that cant provide me these settings, so i can fully enjoy my Desire?

i have installed arabic localization with version LeeDrOiD_HD_ARA_V1.2.0 .. aftere it i cant connect to internet my mobile but wi fi work good. i dont know where is the problem.my phone desire hd

Used to share my PC's internet on my nexus one via wifi adhoc connection, but now on sensation, it doesn't detects adhoc wifi...
Cyanogen rom supports this, but unfortunately cyanogen shifted to the plastic family of galaxy S and left out sensation
Pls. Dont give suggestions about pass through mode..i know it well
Can any DEV put some effort on sense 3.5 rom for adhoc mode support ???

this Problem occures because Android filters the ad-hoc networks from wifi search results , means Android discovers them , but not showing them to you !!!!!!!!!
there is a patch for Desire HD that i used on my Incredible 2 ( working 100% ) called ( DHD_Adhoc_Support.zip ) link in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386601&highlight=AdHoc+Enable+Networking
there is another one for sensation called ( Ad-hoc Sensation-Ad-hoc.zip ) . i don't remember from wher i downloaded it . i don't have sensation phone to try it , but i am sure it will work . Update link http://www.multiupload.com/A6AGJVX7A0
this patch will replace your original file in your Rom , so do a nand before you try
All sense Roms i tested have problems with wifi ???
there is a small yet powerful Software Called Connectify Pro that does three things :
Acts like an actual hardware Router ( Not software networking )
toggle wifi with a single click for either ad-hoc or hotspot
automatically does all complicated configurations for all types of network to fit with your firewall and windows
And more , i can't do without it

Do you use original stock ROM?
I used WM6.5 for about two years without any problem and it is quite simple to connect wifi and also in android.
At what step do you have problem ?
e.g. Can you see the list of wireless networks ?

Hello
I live in a country with many blocked URLs and the only way for unblocking is using proxy servers or VPN !
Recently i use Psiphone 3 on my Desire S with ICS RUU . It have 2 option for tunneling all my phone with vpn service or just its own broswer for surfing through the net ! ( hXXps://s3.amazonaws.com/0ubz-2q11-gi9y/en.html )
It work with own borswer but I have problem when i choose tunneling ( VPN ) . It shows me a key on top of my phone like a vpn connection but actually it not work and can`t tunnel all of my phone !
Anybody help about this bug ,, Thanks !
