Do you use original stock ROM?
I used WM6.5 for about two years without any problem and it is quite simple to connect wifi and also in android.
At what step do you have problem ?
e.g. Can you see the list of wireless networks ?

I use the included utility from ATOM in setting->connecttion tab you will see wi-fi utility. It's work fine.

but i want it in today secreen .like XDA IIi or JasJar .
use o2 plus
this will give u a quick link to wifi on your today screen..means it shall just take you direct to the wifi utility..
You can also use the shortcut for the file(forgot the name but it has wlan in it) in the windows directory and use the same in resco today /o2 plugins a an icon to connect direct.
If u use tweak2k then you can hack your softkey the same way as mentioned above to your left key and name it wifi.
The wireless managers are device specific because the wifi hardware is device specific AFAIK. Wizard doesn't work on Uni etc.

I have unlimited media net plan form ATT on tilt for 19 USD/month. When i use internet it works, but when i try to connect to Skype, it says connection failed. the same thing happens with Resco Radio. I am currently using Dutty Dual touch V4.0 and i have been trying to use skype for 6 months. I made several postings but no one replied. Please help me out of this guys...

you have to disable proxy settings for media net....(settings..connections....connections.....manage existing connections....proxy settings....uncheck this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet...) due this all assuming you have media net as your default connections handler...if not and its your isp then change it to media net and do the above....
or to make it easier try this .cab....this should also fix any mms problems you have....just install and soft reset and your good!! (i use skype everyday!!)

Heres the offical Windows Live Messenger for the 3UK Network
from the HTC Hero but it works on my Dream/G1 on 3UK after a quick rom change
its ment to be free to use ON 3UK ONLY!!!
it would not work with my HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1) on CyanogenMod CM v4.2.14.1 (not for me anyway)
for me it kept saying turn WiFi off to use this app
so i changed over to SuperD 1.9.3 with radio 2.22.19.26I
and it seems works fine and it sign's in most times (not every time tho)
would be handy for people to post what roms it works on too
cos ive heard it wont run for everyone

get the same result each time, first message 'we have encountered some technical problems. We apologize for the inconvenience.' then when trying to sign in 'To connect to Messenger please turn off the Wi-Fi function on your mobile' on 3g T-Mobile network, looked like a good app aswell :/ hope theres a fix or something soon
app_param.txt has all the settings that need to be changed as far as I know but I'm not sure what to change.
I hope someone can get this to work for T-mobile and other networks.

IF you're on another network just use meebo or something, if youre on 3 then use this as it's not counted in your data

I tried it and it did cost me data, on official 1.6 firmware not rooted yet.
correction something else was using my data, but this rarely signs in properly often i get turn off wifi or an error saying sorry there are tech issues, and when it does work its very slow and laggy.... hope there are more updates for it.

errr??? I have a skype 3.0 gold cab which I searched for on the forums and it works fine via 3G on my HD2 with O2???
It took about five mins to connect the first time, but subsequently connects within 10seconds over 3G (wifi disabled).
TBH no network wants skype 3G traffic - only way to get it over 3G is either sanctioned as 3UK do, or via jailbroken iphones. That's one reason why skype pulled WM6.5 support - because they could not guarantee to lock it down to wifi as they can on iphone.
Plz read the thread carefully, i stated 3UK not O2.

Skype V3 for WM works fine and connects perfectly over 3G. You don't need a specific 3 version...

My skype v3 after 60 sec or so, showing me a cant connect error.

The OP is referring to the specific skype through the 3 network app that is found on 3 issue phones.
There is nothing that allows this as 3 don't support the HD2 and so there is no model specific app.
Winmo skype does not have the facility to dial a "local" based number which is how the 3 network accesses the skype service for free through its own dedicated servers.
It may be possible to extract a 3 version app from another winmo model that 3 do support, but, then would it install on the HD2?
BTW Skype connects through any 3G network or WiFi by default.

Cyanogen rom supports this, but unfortunately cyanogen shifted to the plastic family of galaxy S and left out sensation

this Problem occures because Android filters the ad-hoc networks from wifi search results , means Android discovers them , but not showing them to you !!!!!!!!!
there is a patch for Desire HD that i used on my Incredible 2 ( working 100% ) called ( DHD_Adhoc_Support.zip ) link in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386601&highlight=AdHoc+Enable+Networking
there is another one for sensation called ( Ad-hoc Sensation-Ad-hoc.zip ) . i don't remember from wher i downloaded it . i don't have sensation phone to try it , but i am sure it will work . Update link http://www.multiupload.com/A6AGJVX7A0
this patch will replace your original file in your Rom , so do a nand before you try
All sense Roms i tested have problems with wifi ???
there is a small yet powerful Software Called Connectify Pro that does three things :
Acts like an actual hardware Router ( Not software networking )
toggle wifi with a single click for either ad-hoc or hotspot
automatically does all complicated configurations for all types of network to fit with your firewall and windows
And more , i can't do without it
