I first apologize if this is a repeat question as I'm doing this from tapatalk which has no search function. Wanting to downgrade from Nightlies to stock 2.1 and wanted to know if a zip version of stock 2.1 (.5 ver.) exists or I have to flash with the RUU. I had a nandroid of 2.1 but it is corrupted. Thanks

See the PM I sent you
I reccomend doing an ruu to the newest version (.6) and using androot to get root and superuser permissions and rom manager to download/flash a recovery image. Its my most stable setup i've had yet.

As mentioned, you can't have both right now. To get Sense, you'll have to go back to a Froyo ROM. Until HTC leaks an update, they are mutually exclusive. You can have either GB or Sense, but not both.

What exactly are you asking? I've never heard of "Ginger bread kernel". Are you saying you have a gingerbread rom or aosp kernel? You can run a sense rom with a cfs kernel, might run like ****, but you can.
I recently did a factory reset on my Desire S. My Android version is 2.3.3, but I swear it was 2.3.4 before I did the reset.
I did a check for updates, but no luck & I changed my sim from a middle east one to an Irish one & still no update found...
The reason I noticed is that I was unable to make a Skype video call... Am I losing my mind? Does 2.3.4 even exist as an official Desire S ROM?
No.... ASOP Yes

First I dont know if this would be the apporiate section to do a request..
Since HTC Desire HD 3.06.405.1 has been leaked I wanna request if anyone is willing and able to root it and convert it to clockwork flashable format, so we can use the STOCK version of this Rom.
The Rom is floating around on the nets, but if you cannot locate it then PM me and I will send you the download link.
Thanks in Advance!

Hi guys!
I've have downloaded the ROM in object (as a PD98IMG.zip, the link was in the closed thread) and I want to flash it...
I've an unrooted desire hd with official 2.3.3 (2.50.405.2) Rom installed.
How I can flash this one? Have I just to put that zip in SD root and reboot? Someone else have tried the update?
Thanks in advance.

So I did it..
I will test the rooted stock rom this evening, and post if everything is working.
Let me know
I currently installed Android Revolution HD 6.1.0 and replaced the app & framework folder with the original ones from the Stock rom...
But pure root would be best

The custom ROM are very very good and superfast than Stock still, till my phone has warranty I prefer stock ROM. Don't care about rooting for now.

Crap.. I tryed to flash the rooted stock rom, the flash process seems to run fine without errors.
But it hangs on htc splash screen...
I noticed a rom tag which says: GRI 3.5 user-debugging
So I think this isn't a full stable/final release yet
Its just base....
Please delete!

No stock options for you there... you'll have to use a custom ROM with ultra smooth rosie tweak to eliminate 3D
As I know there is no turning back when you unlock your device

Hi there, are you missing the sense interface?
it all depends how you got to CM7 in the first place, which I'm guessing required:
1. S-OFF + custom recovery
2. Root
3. Installed custom rom
To go back you need to do this:
1. Download the *stock* rom RUU files for your phone. This allows you to get the phone back to its original stock form.
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002506
2. Change the bootloader. This allows the RUU to overwrite it with the stock bootloader and get it back to S-ON. ENG HBoot is a good one that allows overwriting.
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113820
3. Once you've changed the bootloader, flash the stock RUU over it, which should automatically overwrite the bootloader, S-OFF, recovery and ROM.
