I can not get this to install. (Though I'm also wondering why it's such a big deal since it's been on google maps for a while) Thought maybe I was out of room, but I had 22 meg open, and then moved some apps to my SD card just because, then rebooted. Still no luck.
Anyone else having this problem?
I think I'm on the 9/8 nightly.
Running 9/9 nightly and it installed. Its only like 150kb. It's the exact same as the Google maps version though so I wouldn't worry about the app. But the not being able to install apps is pretty weird. Not sure what's up with that

I started on RC1 and have flashed a couple nightlies since. I haven't flashed a gapps since RC1. I wonder if that would matter. All the google stuff is the latest versions from the market.
I'm having the exact same issue. Running 9/10 Nightly and the newest gapps. Fails to install every time.
Success!
1) Uninstall your current Street.apk using Titanium Backup (yes you have one already)
2)Reboot
3)Install from market
4)Enjoy

I went in through adb and removed Street.apk rebooted and installed from the market. Also some people have been saying that the latest maps update has something to do with it not installing right. So try to uninstall updates.

I am currently running CM6 on my Dream and started having issues with installing applications today. Suddenly they no longer install and I am faced with the message in this thread's title. I've ran fix_permissions and fix_UID off my recovery but still can't seem to get it resolved. Any ideas?

only time that happens for me is when i customise an apk, lets say v1.1, and try installing update v1.2 from the market.
I then have to manually uninstall old version then install update.
did that work?
Unfortunately, it didn't. But tonight I'm just going to wipe and revert back to CM5... Its a lot more smooth and the ext partitioning for apps seems to work better also...

First of all I take no credit for any of this, I've just found it works on 3 roms i've tried. CM6, Ava9, and Fresh. Just titanium backup Uninstall your Flash. And Install this one:
Edit: Just flashed MIUI and it works on it too. Hulu app only and not for the hulu.com though..
Edit 2: about:debug on browser set UAString to Desktop and it runs on browser too.

Man I just don't understand, I've tried every hulu fix I've seen and not a single one has worked for me. I get the blue lego block logo everytime I try to watch anything. I'm on a stock rooted rom that I've upgraded to 3.29 software and 1.77 pri and this has been the only thing that I've not been able to get working.
for me hulu.com says that the video is unavailable
Worked perfectly for me. I'm rooted with unrevoked and running CM6. First I flashed the Hulu app and then I installed the apk for the modified flash and it worked like a champ!

Same issue for me on latest fresh
Mine doesn't work. I tried 4 different times. It still says it's not compatible with my platform. Fresh ROM
I tried to install Flash-hex-edited apk and it says "Application not installed"
???
Does the hulu app still keep playing in the background. I hated that.

I had the same problem. You have to uninstall the Flash update first using manage applications, then Titanium will uninstall Flash. I'm running Fresh 3.3.0.1

Yup, it sure does.
App works, but sorta sucks. I cannot goto hulu.com in a browser as it says your on an android device and its not supported. This is with stock browser. At least have the app...

in stock browser, type about:debug>settings>UASTRING>desktop then go to hulu site or hulu widget site.

Nevermind I got it...I had to reboot after I uninstalled flash with titanium backup.
Flash via RM or recovery.

I didn't need to flash or even reboot, I just opened the .apk from the zip and then chose to "Upgrade"... then the market took a few seconds to load, and now I have the new market!

Installing the vending APK worked great for me too (running Uncommon sense). I'd recommend trying to install the APK before attempting a flash via recovery.
Here's a re-post of just the apk, extracted from the zip.

Is anybody else having issues with Facebook force closing on cm7? I'm fairly sure it has to do with the fb update. I uninstalled and reinstalled and am still having the issue. I just want to know if anyone else is seeing this issue and if there are any work around.

I have had the same problem with certain functions on FB such as checking in @Places. Believe its update related, unsure though cuz my fiances phone works fine with the update. She is also on stock LG Optimus Android OS

I'm seeing it when selecting friends. I looked in the market for the option to uninstall updates for the app but it wasn't there. I think I have the old version in a Ti back up. I'm thinking of uninstalling and restoring from that.

Completely uninstall the app, reboot, then install. If that still doesn't work, backup, then reflash the ROM.

But, i encounter another issue, sometimes the app redirect me to the m.facebook.com and there i git an error. I don't remember what it says, but i will post it while i play/use the client. Thanks

I'm having too many issues now with CM7 nightly 41+, too many FC from differents applications such like gmail, fbook, mail client and even brwser. I installed CM7 a counter of time doing, format system, dalvik, cache and with each cm7 nightly I have some applications giving me fc. I never had this problem with older versions.

Sounds like you missed data. Formatting \data may help as well. Redownload the ROM(to make sure it is good) and follow these steps:
Reboot recovery
Run system wipe
Run Cache wipe
Format /system, /data
Wipe /dalvik
Then choose install .zip from SD, install CM7
Optional: Install GAPPS.
That should resolve it. And remember, NEVER restore system data from Titanium Backup.

Thank you id10terrordfw, i did that too. Sorry i forgot to added in my procedure written in my past quote. Right now i just install cm7 stable and for now everything is working like it should. Will update if something cames up and if it have some value for debugging.

I do believe the new build 55 has been lot of the fixes in it. I would say for sure, but I am running my own customized version of rcmix.

FB 1.5.2 works well. No new features like 1.5.3 but at least I can use it without FC's.

I downloaded CM 10 from get.cm and installed it through ROM manager by SD caard option.
But after that I could not find gtalk available so I tried opening Google Play which is getting exited.
I tried re-installing Google play app, degraded it too, even flashed the CM10 ROM again.
Is it an issue of not installing Gapps latest version?

Have you try install CM10 then latest gapps for JB? Try that first

I don't mean to be rude but if I remember properly that is an issue causes by warez but anyways I solved that problem last time by installing lucky patcher and it will help remove any useless modification that is hindering your installation ... I hope that would help out

Open root explorer, go to data>app folder then delete com.maxmpz.audioplayer-1.odex
After that, uninstall and reinstall poweramp.
that did the job..thanx
