Usually not, only in specific apps like browser and texting, but not for the entire rom.

Yes it is I believe if you go awd settings scroll down to system preferences then scroll down to home orientation and choose default land scape that might do it for you

There is no way to make it landscape by default throughout though

When you are in the (Home++) homescreen, hit the menu button (left button on the Xperia with four small squares on it) then you'll see a menu popping up with 'preferences' in the lower left corner.
Home++ is the best and nicest looking i came across.
Helix for Donut
I use the donut version of helix and i am very impressed by it.

HTC apps can't be ported to ant other phone or Rom without the sense UI. Please search next time as you would of easily found the answer.
Now, as its been said. Go try dialer one from the market

No since the Phone app is tied to contacts, etc. Replace the icon using Bettercut if it bugs you that much.

Which part?
If you're talking about the Phone icon on the FroYo Launcher then you'll have to change that code yourself otherwise I would use another Launcher such as ADW or the likes then you can put whatever phone app you want in those short cuts.
ok, shame im not a coder
Check out Nubdial. It runs better than dialerOne IMO>
I have a MyTouch, so when I press the off hook key (dialer) it would as me what phone/dialer to launch/default if there's more than one installed. Is that not the case with N1?
You can try launchers like home++, helix, adw, or launcher pro, which alt. shortcut keys at the bottom of the home screen for you to configure.

There are exceptions to rules but they are few and far between.
First off thanks to everyone from the various SGS forums for this, especially to fear2142.
This is the Touchwiz4 Launcher from the SGS2 ported to work with Galaxy Tabs running a DeOdexed Gingerbread based build (or latest Overcome based on GB).
Changes I made for the Tab:
Fixed XML's to support larger screen
Adjust size for workspace/edit screens
Set Launcher workspace to 6 rows/ 6 columns (fits good)
Set appdrawer to 6x6 layout as well
Adjusted to allow 5 shortcuts on bottom bar
How to install?
This is a CWM3 package, save to sd card, use recovery to install (choose zip from sdcard etc)
You must clear your dalvik cache after install.
Reboot, clear the application data for twlauncher to ensure it displays properly.
This is currenty setup for 240 dpi, I'm working on a version for 182dpi as I type.
*UPDATE*
Alright, I've attached the 182 version. Unfortunatly I just cannot get it to accept a grid any larger than 8x8.. though I suppose that's still 64 spaces right?
Known Issues
Screen rotation is not currently working
Nice one mate!

How do i get more or diff app on dockbar?
How do I change it so my dockbar icons, apps and message, do not cover up two seperate apps on every page in my drawer?
I have tried both your zips and both have these same issues.

You're going to need to add screenshots I think, cause I have no idea what you mean. None of my apps are covered by the dockbar shortcuts.

3. Go to back up and restore and restore both.
4. Download Ripple Lock free, or Paid (Both work thee same)
5. Start Ripple Lock and click settings and do the following
*Background Settings , wallpaper
* Shortcut Settings, Display Settings Uncheck
*Screen Orientation, Fix Horizontal
*Fix Double Lock Issue, Mode Two
*Uncheck the following ,vibrate icon, music control, status bar, lock icon, only display circle, status bar expand, fix power issue
6. Go back and and press start.
7. Download MultiTask Manager.

Yeah That is the Problem With This Sorry!
I've just installed CM RC1 & I've accidentally discovered that WHOLE device can be used in landscape except on thing, the lockscreen. Is the whole landscape thing unintentional? Or is it something in progress. If it's unintentional can Nexx fully implement it or is it something that needs to be officially made by Cyanogenmod? Thanks a million for Nexx for bringing us CM for our device & I hope that it's HIS version gets official. I also noticed now that the dialer isn't landscape.

I think there's an option in the dialler preferences to allow it to be used in landscape
Also, I've noticed that when I hit dismiss/snooze on the alarm in landscape mode, I get a flash of the lockscreen in landscape for a few seconds before reverting back to portrait...?
Thanks! Your right about the dialer. But about the flash of landscape, that even happened to me in stock HTC Sense in lock & home screen so probably it's just a glitch or something.
