How to remove the tab

is anybody know how to remove the tab which was installed by the GSM provider

sorry dont know, but have to say I've never seen that tab before on any other homescreen image.

Take a look at registry key "HKLM/Software/HTC/Manilla/Configuration/x" for each tab. Seems like each tab is listet there, and each one has an entry "Enable" that can be set to "0". Probably soft-reset required afterwards.
Have not tested it yet, but this is the first place I would look =)

Yeah - exactly right, but you don't need to restart. You can just close and then re-open Sense.

by the way john do you know how to remove the grey box which surrounds the clock on lock screen, a registry edit or something? you seem to know a bit about these devices, just thought i`d ask. (i know this thread isnt about this, so sorry everyone just thought i`d ask someone directly while am here)

I don't know how to do it, but I'd imagine that it's just a manila file in the windows folder. Just a case of knowing which one. Create a thread for it - someone who makes themes would probably be able to tell you that, or ask here...

are there any custom taskbars out there i can put on my hero running modoco 2.0?

I did a quick google search about this, and what i concludeed was that you could probably swap the /system/framework/framework-res.apk from your current rom with the one from fresh. i haven't tested it out, but i think it should work.

Check the stickies in this very section.
I'm running the black one its pretty nice.

It doesn't seem he's interested in Godzson's taskbars, but the one in Fresh. And I agree, his taskbars are really nice.

all seriousness check out this link. Noj makes some nice lockscreens and you can also get the fresh kitchen in the downloads section on that site which makes flashing them really easy,

Hey, i got a question....
Im not sure which or how i got the transparent lockscreen, im rooted running fresh 1.1 with gumbo kernel. i just noticed today though that when i am playing music and the lockscreen is displaying the cover art.... its not transparent anymore. my question is this, am i the only one? did it flash bad? is there a way to get that part transparent as well?

perhaps i worded that wrong.
ok, so i have a chick as my lockscreen wallpaper. there is nothing else on my lockscreen except the time. the grey shading is gone. However, when im listening to music and the album art is the lockscreen wallpaper the gray shading comes back.... That, is what i want to get rid of.

[MOD] Clear Weather Widget mod for My Touch, Sprint 2.1 and RegawMOD!!

Backup your current setup before trying to flash this.
Ok folks I FINALLY figured out how to get a clear background on the Weather Widgets. This is NOT the HTC Clock/Weather widget. This will mod the actual weather widget itself. I know in 1.5 we were able to modify the background by making it transparent. As we all know HTC decided to play the xml game with us. Through vigorous xml editing I FINALLY achieved a clear weather widget on both the medium and small versions. The large version would look dumb clear so I didnt do it...I may do it later on...Here is a flashable update to update the weather widget. If you are on the latest 2.1 rom, download the one named clearweather-sprint-signed.zip. If you're using RegawMOD Rom download the one for that since apparently they are all different...weird. I also attached the current com.htc.WeatherWidget.apk. Thanks to Jerry for putting that up. Keep in mind you may need to go into Applications and clear HTC Sense as well as the Weather Widget cache. Let me know if it works. Now for a screenshot...

So do you know how to revert to the stock weather widget? This did not work for me (2.1)...thx.

Try and reboot. If it doesnt work, than it doesnt work. You shouldve made a bakup if you didnt...

Can others with the normal Sprint 2.1 rom try this...Backup first before you do. It may not work...

After working a bit with Vince, it works for Regaw 2.1/

I have been looking for this fix for a while now... Ill be keeping my fingers crossed that you can get it working. Thanks.

Try clearing HTC Sense and Weather Widgets in Applications. I got the same thing you did and I cleared everything and it worked...In the meantime i'll grab the .apk from the latest 2.1 roms and mod it.

What do you mean? It is working...My screenshots show that its working. Clear HTC Sense and Weather Widgets in Applications. Then reboot and see if it works...

There's no "weather Widgets" in Applications.

Yup but it didnt fix anythign. Weather widgets is completely gone from my phone.

I found the problem. Give me a few and i'll have a new update for the latest 2.1 Rom. I need to also fix the title...

Can you tell me if this will work on regaw's latest ROM please? I don't want to cause more problems with my phone than I have now. Thank you.

CHT 2.0 WIDGET - Oxygene Analogue Clock

OK, so I am also running Android on my HD2 and have been knocked out by some of the layouts the guys in the Android threads have been coming up with. So I figured that now that Co0kie has opened up our home tabs to such amazingly versatile customisation it was about time that we brought some of that style to CHT! A couple of days ago I came across THIS on ClassicalGas's blog and just loved it so I thought I'd have a go at replicating the clock as a CHT widget, and here it is:

It is semi-transparent as you can see and works best on a black or dark background. The outer ring is the minute indicator, the inner the hours and the small dot the second hand. Again there is a widget specific font which in this instance is SonySketch which I found on dafont.com HERE.
The dock came from vide infra over in the Evo forum HERE which I edited, and the softkeys based on the periodic table are all mine. I have also made a partial set of CHT toggles to go with this theme too. If anyone wants the dock/icons/toggles just ask and I'll add them in here along with photoshop templates so you can extend the sets if you want to.

Dunc your stuff is amazing. Not only minimalistic and easy on the eye but also high quality if stretched to the max (for us perfectionists) I'd love your other designs like the toggles and more?

did you do the basic triage stuff - uninstall completely. reboot. reinstall?
if so then...dunc, could it be 3953C628_manila (well at least with Poyensa's typoclock this bg image randomly came on).

works great for me with energy (2019):
for those with troubles- try uninstalling. disable sense. reinstall. reboot. enable sense.

what energy rom? what manila are you using? (and you installed it while sense was disabled? i have had issues with things when sense is still on....)
