I'm sure many of you are firmilar with evild's work on the n1, mt4g and other highend devices. I happened to flash his 3.0 rom on my wifes mt4g sand got to chatting with him. Hes interested in getting a g2x, so I told him id attempt to orchestrate a collection of funds to buy him a g2x. First things first, what will a no contract g2x cost? What is the cheapest anyone has seen one for sale off contract? Secondly, if anyone has an upgrade they are willing to donate, THAT WOULD BE PHENOMENAL! I'm good for $100 to start things off. have you been on the internet long? people are people. and you'll find people like that on any forum. i've seen people talking like that online since before the internet was mainstream. it's not only xda. there is no way to stop it. so just get used to it. but, i got your back on voicing your opinion as well. what xda needs is a dislike button. i've seen them on other sites. and after so many dislikes,your post gets hidden and members have to click "show" to see it.

These Devs work hard and long hrs. to make these roms for your phone to function and look better!
So a little donation wouldn't hurt for you to give!

Your idea is ingenious. I will take it up with a friend whose a mod here and see what he thinks. Not sure it will get too far but you never know.
That is a very good idea. Giving thumbs down to certain posters would warn other readers at this forum. It would also be useful against scammers who steal the Dev's work and pawn the mods as their own begging for donations. There was one on the Samsung Epic forum last year and on the Asus Transformer forum a few weeks ago.

Well Rev accused me of being a troll once, I was new and on khal's V4 I seen 4g signal on my phone and I asked about it wondering how or what he did, I assumed he tweaked the radio and got us 4g! I didn't know **** about radio's then didn't know it was impossible all I know is I seen it lmao! Then after he accused me of trolling others came forward and were saying they seen it too so it was just a mystery after that. But I swear I was showing 4g signal! lmao

This is a very early alpha of my next theme, it has some errors, overlapping text in carrier window in drop down. thought id post it up to let others work on if they'd like to help out with it. Its best to flash over a clean install of the classic as it doesnt include widgets or clocks yet but looks good with the originals included in the rom. I didnt take screen shots during the test flash but it does work with no bootloops just is nowhere near perfect yet but i figured id release the alpha to let others play with and get a feel for whats to come. Feel free to mod it anyway you like as its just an alpha for all to tear up, laugh at whatever youd like to do with it =]] enjoy. Oh and if you dont know wipe cche dalvik cache flash and enjoy :| if you can enjoy this lol. mostly messed it up cuz im half asleep and missed somethings when modding like where to move that damn text in carrier window shoulda be aligned right DOH!
feel free to do with this theme as you like I've decided to not update this for a few days while I redo it without the uot so I've gotta grab some tools and learn em real quick then I will release an actual theme of the same name but it will be different with same colorscheme but I wanna release th final as an entire theme not just a partial as this one turned out luckily for me I'm tech savvy and a Gimp master just gonna have to get the proper tools and such so I can give u guys something far better quality and not this garbage I'm gonna set the eta early next week but may be sooner or longer we'll play it by ear I will keep u updated and may ask for help along the way feel free to chime in with ideas/ requests if u try it out sent from my phone so sorry for the rambling run on =]

sorry, when I type on my phone my fat fingers don't like the comma and period key. they prefer to hit space or smiley face or enter or some **** lol I always type in portrait cuz in landscape I can't read past 3 lines so I forget what I already wrote. I'm actually really good at punctuation and grammar when I need to be but on the phone I'm usually in a hurry and too effin lazy to add it in.

I've been a member that refused to post for a very long time due to all the nonsense on here. This place helps you make your device awesome, gives it faster/better software with more features and your choice of UI design, and if you want to you can poke around and find some good info and learn to do some of this yourself. All for free. Unfortunately there is this attitude that some people here have, I swear its like you bought something you cry so much. I bet the same people that do this here are the douchesacks that whine in resteraunts trying to get free meals. We should all thank you for your useless contributions to society. You slow things down, you cost businesses money so prices go up partly because of you, and you freak out at the drop of a hat to get your way, and you're usually STUPID as a rock to boot! (to any rocks that were offended, my apologies)
Seriously, look at the name of the site. Xda developers. Meaning the people here that are posting things are developing them. Not releasing perfect software the first try. And yeah, a lot of them have donate buttons in their sigs, but how often do they really get used? And how often do they really profit off of it? It's taking so long' sense is better' nu-uh, aosp is' and sadly my knowledge of all things android tripled in one month on another site. So i went by the rules and kept my mouth shut, hit the search button till it was sore, and all I learned is that there are a group of babies on here that really need to go get a life.

You're both exactly right
The problem is the change in user demographic since Android's inception. There was a lot more respect here before every twelve-year-old and his six-year-old brother had a smartphone.
That's not to say younger members are the root of all evil, of course Just the majority of it
