I could only find one supplier for these cleaning pads - based in South Korea. There is someone else selling them on another forum, but for a lot more money than the original supplier on alibaba.com
I found one of those awesome cleaning pads on eBay by searching "android cleaner pad," $5.23 with shipping (ships worldwide from South Korea).

Ta for that - had to go look that up on ebay.com, as he's not showing on ebay.co.uk. Had to request revised total, too, as shipping to the UK isn't shown on his US auctions.

I don't see threads like this as a way to show off the "beauty" of your phone, but more to share ideas and accessories. A lot of people thought the cleaner thing the OP had was useful and looked nice, so that's what you get out of threads like this one.

You really ought not put the weight of the male race on your shoulder's Andrew, I'm sure humanity will survive without your concerns; you'll just end up giving yourself a stomach ulcer
If you felt the Galaxy S was just a "phone" you would've probably opted for a simpler device that did one thing well - but you're really missing out on a lot. As it stands mine's used for GPS navigation [hence the car charger + cradle], Internet browsing, music and video playback [hence the mini stand - TV Cable, Stereo Bluetooth - and when I can - I sneak in a game or two whilst waiting for various appointments], the HD Camera opened up further possibilities [I usually use a digital SLR, this phone is always with me and so the glass lenses look useful] and offline storage [hence the mini USB cables and large cards] - and I rather admire the aesthetics so despite the Gorilla Glass - I think cases are useful to maintain the product in as best a condition as possible.
So your concerns aside - threads like this are a pretty good way of ascertaining what 3rd party products are out there - whether materialistic or not.
Expect a better update on the stuff I've bought, particularly the car cradle - it took me a while to decide what to get!

Indeed, if there's one definite way to judge a man, it's how his phone looks Screw the fact that people want to protect their $500+ dollar investment with a case and a screen protector.

Oh, and you can see part of the wrist strap I use, it's from a cheap LED flashlight I bought.
(not on picture) iTech Clip S35 stereo bluetooth doohickey. Haven't actually tried it with the SGS yet, got it stupidly cheap in store here (~US$12) about seven months ago, so it's technically not an accessory for my SGS.
My case with kickstand hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping it won't be too long before it joins my i9000 accessory family.

I have had a Kidigi cradle charging my HTC Diamond. They have charging cradles for top USB Samsungs, but not for SGS yet: http://www.kidigi.com/product.php
Edit: An answer from the Kidigi:
We are making accessories for Samsung i9000, it's under tooling now, should be available in 40 days.
You can buy those from here: http://www.4u-mobi.com/onlineshop/index.php
yeah problem is any cradles made for SGS will have to be landscape, I cant see any positives to having the microusb on top. In my car again I have to ideally use landscape otherwise it looks messy. If they didnt want it on bottom then at least put it on the side!

Yep, looks crap
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
This is my first post on XDA so a big HI to all...
I think this is an excellent car holder due to the fact that this one is very minimal and by the looks of things... it could support a DHD in a case. I could be wrong but the lower 'arms' look flexible enough to take a DHD thats a few mm larger. Perhaps someone could confirm.
Furthermore, if a manufacturer could please produce a desk charger that supports cases on phones since i think a lot of people, including me, would be interested in this.
Do anybody know if we can use a HD2 carholder for our DHD?
I do know - yes you can!
you mean the 'HTC CU S400'?

Agreed, although I think a combination of the CU S400 'stand' with this 'body / holder' would be perfect as the CU S400 mount and stand is great but the holder gets in the way of the buttons....
It may look crap but in terms of not hiding the connections or the power button, it's much better, due the 3 points of holding the DHD...
and it's much cheaper (even more if bought on another webstore)

True, the only issue I have with it is the 'arm'. It doesnt look too flexible.
To be honest I'm currently using the car holder for my old XDA Orbit 2.

All I have done is strech it open slightly to fit the DHD and it is great! I have full access to all buttons it swivels, pivots, rotates and flexes to all positions! It even holds the DHD pretty tightly without making any marks
I'm just worried that during a very large bump it may slip out so would prefer to have something like this with the 3-point 'holder' of the offical DHD.
If someone could make something like this......
and throw in an official HTC charger and audio jack I would definately buy one.

About that craddle looks very nice, but for me that use the DHD to output music to my music phono input from my car, it's no good.
It would be cool if the cradle was able to plug an independent 3.5mm phono cable. That way, it's a crap.
Other thing is, I always use the DHD on GPS mode, in landscape. Don't feel any security with cradle when in landscape mode.
DHD on order, just poking around to see what the deal is with car kits and the like.
Got a rubbery case for my HD2 so always had to take it out, put it in the cradle and then back again when I got out of the car, not a huge issue but sliding the phone in and out of the cradle eventually cut away at the rubbery skin on the HD2, presumably clipping the DHD in and out of an official or at least close too, kit will cause similar damage to the phone?

Probably not the same problem, since DHD doesn't have the rubbery skin but an aluminum case instead. However, if the kit is poorly made, I guess it could scratch the aluminum case.
I can categorically state that this holder works with the DHD, and it doesnt block any of the connectors or buttons : http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/windowseat-handsfree
It has fully adjustable clamps at the back that can accomodate the Desire HD no problem, and the holder holds the DHD firmly. I had my DHD in one of these earlier this week in a Carphonewarehouse store.
Nonetheless, I think I am still going to wait for the official one as I like the idea of this magical cable that "tells" the phone to switch to Car mode automatically. But for those that dont care so much about that, I can confirm this Griffin holder really does do the trick. CPW sell it for about £30 but I am sure it can be obtained for less on the internet.
surely there is no substitute to a Brodit
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRODIT-HOLDER...ssories_RL&hash=item230bf3c182#ht_3353wt_1139
Hi,
I have an universal 5$ car mount in my car, which it sticks to the windshield by Vacuum.
The vacuum suction is pretty good (comparing to my GPS other one which falls down after few minutes :\), it keeps stable for months.
But the spring arms which make pressure on both side of the mobile to hold it, are suckish.
The spring had broken 999 times and it gets really crappy (maybe a cause of the sun [its damn hot here])
So now I'm looking for a new one, I thought of universal or specificly for Desire HD,
I prefer universal so my mom and my brother will also be able to use it but if it downs the quality back to my old crap, it ain't worth it.
I'm open for any suggestion you got.
Thanks,
Yarden.
in my thread about my mazda 6 there was one who linked me a universal holder which looks to be good...
i have ordered it but havent recieved it yet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124985
ah the sticky one?
I'm not sure about it, I've seen an explanation video about it and the describer lady when she plugged the phone to it, she pressed so hard to make it sticks,
I don't think that's a pleasure daily mission for me.. :\
I use a Brodit and have done for about the last 5 phones i've had! they are specific to your phone & car though so not much use to your other family members. You buy it in 2 parts, a mount specifically for you car, and a holder specific to the model of your phone. If you upgrade phone, you just buy a new holder for the phone. They are superb quality and hold your phone rock solid.

you can use the brodit mount with a herbert richter goose mount. I've done this before with my PDA and it works a treat. Unfortunately I've already binned it as I thought I would not use it since I've sold my PDA. But now I'm looking to make another one.

That looks interesting, is it made of plastic, and can you mount the DHD in portrait mode without slipping off the clip?

RAM Desire mount any use?
I have used the RAM arm for something else in the car but the mount is good.
You can get spares too for it from the dealer or direct and other ends fit too. Just said else where got a desire case from them and a discount when checking out dunno if it will work outside the UK but "TESCO 1" worked when I just shopped for a desire case and iphone charger.
btw Tesco is a big UK shop not a dj
But hey worth a go to save a few $$$ or £££
Steve
Yeah but 95% of these "castom" mounts for HTC doesn't fit if I use silicone case,
And I got pretty massive one from case mate (its double protection, silicone + plastic)
So it ain't useful for me.
Any way I bought that clips universal holder of exogear (for 33$ free shipping), when it arrive ill feedback here if it worths
Hi all,
I just got my TF700 and a Moko case from amazon, and wanted to share the case's pictures for all the "I must find the perfect case for my infinity" people out there
First of all, case is this, $19.99:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0088IA9PC/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01
So far I like it, I used to have a similar (different brand though) for my Acer A500, and I use the vertical orientation to read comics, PDF documents etc.
You can also remove the tablet cover from the main flap case (or whatever it is called), which is a bonus for me because it makes holding the tablet easier / less bulky. There is an elastic band on the back of it once you remove the cover from the case to make it easier to hold with one hand.
I did not try to fit this on a dock without the case removed by I doubt it will fit. I can try it tonight if anyone wants it.
Flip cover closes with magnets, there are no Velcros or tabs.
And the pictures are attached.
Thanks for the review and the pictures (especially the pictures). You may want to copy and paste this (or link to this post) into the case thread so it wont slowly get lost in the fray.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just copied the link the main case thread.
The tablet slides into the dock just fine with the cover.
Fuuu I was deciding this case or the poetic one and now that I see the pics I see how much more stylish and less clucky it is the poetic has a spare for the keyboard and they detach but I didn't want to case my keyboard... Hm it still hasn't shipped what to do...
That's the one I have and I'm very happy with it. So far, MoKo has been AWESOME in their quality and customer service, it's tough to find those two things together anymore.
I think this one looks a lot more boss. Anyone know?

No worries! I actually bought that case, as did some others on here when it said it was compatible with both, a few days after we noted that it didn't fit right they took the TF700 out of the description, so if you need a nice case for a TF201 I have one. Man, I think I have a closet full of old cases, chargers and other phone stuff I've accumulated since getting my first cell in 1995 lol

I got it with Contel Wireless of CA in Ukiah, Contel was absorbed about a year later by their parent, GTE Mobilenet and then became part of Verizon of course in 2001. Up here, Contel served Mendocino & Lake Counties, aka RSA (Rural Service Area) 344 aka Cal 9.

Dang, that's pretty retro, man. My oldest cell phone was one of those motorola tiny bar flip phones (I was a luddite for quite some time). Luckily, I've moved on past those days. Also, I can never seem to find any of my old stuff, maybe it just disappears.
LOL - I remember UPGRADING to that model.
Here's retro for you - in the late '70s / very early 80s my father had a motorola car phone with a ROTARY dial (pre cellular).

My dad had one in the 80s that you carried around in a suitcase, he was a US Postal Inspector from 1970-1990.
https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/
Danny Glover actually uses that exact phone in 'Lethal Weapon", he's talking on it on a freeway overpass in one scene. I graduated High School in 1990, and I don't remember anybody in school having a mobile phone then, nobody I knew even carried pagers, they were mostly restricted to government, police, businessman, etc. We used payphones when on the go, and regular landlines at home, the days of being on 24x7 hadn't arrived yet Heck, even when I got that first phone in 1995 mobile phones were still a novelty for most.

LOL. That is pretty old school. It took a bit of google searching but I found a photo of my dad's old car phone. Sorry for dragging the thread wayyy off topic. Just funny to see the old tech. In thinking about it some more, it was probably early to mid '70s, not late 70's early 80s.

Bought the same case on Amazon but found one flaw
I bought this exact same case on Amazon for my TF700 too. I really like it except for one small (or major depending on your view I guess) flaw. if you try to take a pic with the 8mp camera and the flash goes off, the bounce back from the edge of the case near the lens creates a lot of glare in the picture. I haven't tried to find a work around other than to take the tablet out of the case. Just thought I would post as a heads up.
when connected to the keyboard, can it still close?

Hi Fincan,
Do you think it is possible for you to post a couple of photos showing the case with the tablet + dock closed?
I am really interested in the case, however if it does not close properly with dock, I will not order it.
I'm seeing some on Amazon with super suspect reviews. Like, one of them has 99% 5-star reviews. Come on, dude...
Can y'all share some LEGIT portable wireless chargers? Preferably some with REAL fast charging.
I have ordered this one.,
QI wireless charger, 20000mAh, price around 35 US$.
Can tell you more in a couple of days, should I get in the next days (has unfortunately around 4 weeks delivery time).

got it now. Works more as OK for this price. Can charge also if the device is in the cover. The HW looks professional. QI charging with stand works only if you put the phone horizontal on the stand , but this is ok. Think was a good deal. Shippment needs 3 weeks.
After some weeks using I can say it was a very good deal. Works perfect with my Note 9 on travel. I can really highly recommend this QI charger. Use it on my business trips including powerpoint presentations in combination with an little HDMI adapter and on the evening to view Netflix videos in the hotel.
I don't want miss it anymore...
I've got to get that!
I think using the descriptor “best” is relative. What may work for one may not work for another.
Take this product:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077QRXLF6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
10000mah battery pack, usb 3 ports, qi standard. Display shows exact charge numerically. Even shows the voltage coming in and voltage going out of the ports and what the qi is sending out.
There is a led ring that shows light white when charging and dark blue when charged.
I like these so much I bought 3 for the 3 notes i have.
EDIT: does charge them with the samsung military grade case for the note 9 series as seen in the photos (may be hard to see the actual case but both units have the case on )
They look pretty cool. The light looks a little too bright though? Also, the top surface looks quite slippery?

Does look cool, I like the bright light, but I'd definitely want it to be optional, you wouldn't want that next to your bed when trying to sleep haha.
And yeah that super smooth surface does look like the phone would easily slide off, although it would be negated by a case that had some grip.
Not sure what happened, might just be a temporary thing, but it's currently unavailable?

That’s why i said not one product can be “best”.
I’m sure this is not designed to sit next to your bed at night. Its mostly aimed at people on the go /traveling.
The light ring is not bright. In a darkened room it will be noticeable, sure.
The top surface has plastic (shipping plastic). You can remove this plastic overlay as you see fit
Ive had these for about 3 weeks. I have used them 2-3 times per week (just to test on the charge times) and am very happy with the product price point and features.
You can also charge the product up whilst charging a qi enabled device (pass thru charging)
Does anyone make a car phone cradle holder with inbuilt wireless charger?
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
Lots of people do wireless charging cradles for cars - I have an iOttie, two QiFulls and (my favourite - so good that I bought 3 of them), Samsung's own one.

Of course you are right, but for me personally is size and power (20000mah) decisive. And some small things like the vertical stand, the non slippery surface and the size (like the phone itself) seem to be thought-out....

^^^ thats why there are more options out there because not everyone has the same feature requests. I don’t particualry like portable upright chargers and the fact I have 3 of these means the 10 000mAh X3 (30000mAh? ) wlli be plenty. And if they are not, i have two portable power banks.
The product i listed here is just another option in the mix... not trying to steal thunder away from any one product..

The last thing I needed was yet another power bank (I have a couple of really hefty one - 26,800 mAh from Zendure and 30,000 mAh from iMuto - as well as a whole raft of smaller ones given away free at various trade shows), but none of them do wireless so I had to get one of these as well.
Ordered it on amazon.de and it arrived here in the UK in a couple of days. Initial impressions are favourable. It charges my Note 9 even in its Spigen Tough Armor case, and I like the ability to have the phone at an angle. It also seems to do passthrough (i.e. wireless charge the Note 9 while also being charged itself).
There's a USB-C socket for input (haven't tested whether it can also be used as an output) as well as MicroUSB in and 2 x USB A outputs.
yes, is no bad

Well, getting bogged down with semantics is a waste of time. I think most of us generally agree that when we say "best" we're implying that the product performs as expected and that it suits most of our needs/wants.
That charging pad you shared looks promising but it sucks that it's no longer available on Amazon. I hope more OEMs jump into this portable wireless charging game. We need more options, that's for sure.

I feel you on this. I'm down to two right now. One big one with enough amps to charge my laptop quick enough and a smaller Anker one for everything else. I want to replace the Anker one with a wireless one. Less cables to carry around.
