Sprint Navigation Small Resolution - Epic 4G Android Development

I used Titanium backup after rooting and restored all apps. I didn't check the Sprint Navigation before doing so. Does your Sprint Navigation look really small? Or did I screw it up with the prior version coming from the Hero? I thought the APK was the same? Any ideas? Can someone open there Navigation and see if it looks small.

**Resolved**
Did a wipe to factory reset and it's normal now. Must have been the prior settings from Titanium backup on my Hero that messed it up.

Come on...it's right under Progess
"Back to SDK Dialer. Old one was causing problems and did not keep call log."
So far install and settings are all flawless as far as I can tell. Quality job!
Sound > Volume bug is fixed
Lock Timer bug is fixed
Lock button background on both password and pin is fixed
The virtual keyboard still doesnt vibrate when vibrate is checked.
Also noticed a lot of the options that were in Call Settings are now no longer there.
I'm guessing this is due to the dialer being changed out?
Other than that, so far so good!
Is it necessary to wipe data & cache, then factory reset again even if already on fission?
Would just rather not....
Keep up the good work boys!
Also you might want to re-mention about not using themes.
my gps will not work. Weather and toggle widgets, weatherbug elite , and others will not find me. Tried a reboot didn't work. Came from the beta just flashed this this morning. Followed all directions wiped twice and the factory reset anyone else having this issue or do I need to reflash.
Ps I noticed swype works in this build great work guys
Check the gps toggle again. I've had gps work with three different apps.

GPS is working fine. It's coarse location (wireless networks) that's not working for me. If I turn off GPS, I can't get a location.
To do step 15 (Perform a Factory Reset through Android - Settings > Privacy > Factory Data Reset. Wiping Cache and Data from recovery is not enough.)
Am I suppose to reboot the system prior to this step?

It isn't possible unless you boot first, is what I figured.
"Do not perform any type of restore using any backup programs, yes this includes Titanium Pro and others!"
So this essentially renders Titanium Pro useless then? I can't restore any apps at any time from my sd card?
I followed every step precisely, including the backup and all of the cache/data clearing and android factory reset, and so far none of my market downloads have initiated. I'll get back to you on it if they do.
Not trying to *****, but I can't really give much feedback until I can see how well everything runs with my setup.

By default you'll be in USB mass storage mode if plugged in. If this is the case the market won't download. (Found this out the hard way.)
Fixed it by going to Charge-Only.
Id say u can backup/restore any market/downloaded non-system apps with titanium. Just don't restore items such as calender/email/sms/settings etc. most of these things are backed up and restored to your google account anyhow.
It would seem contact ringtones do not work
The market download on fresh boot takes awhile.. anywhere from 15min+ you can speed the process up by manual cancels and manual downloads.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App

[Q] After root/ Titanium backup restore, Widgets load all mixed up ATRIX 2

First off, My apologies if i did anything improper here
There are a lot of posts relating to titanium backup issues, and i cant seem to find anything on this issue, so if you have an answer please help or if there is a thread about this please direct me.
Ive had a rooted atrix 2 since it was released and have not had any issues restoring using titanium backup after upgrading from the atrix 4g
I recently broke my phone and was sent a refurb from att, when i restored using titanium backup, everything went fine except for the widgets. whenever i would reboot my phone, or even sometimes go from an app back to my home screen the widgets would all be mixed up on the home screen and duplicated into other places. some widgets even resize themselves, like a hotspot toggle widget would somehow resize from 1x1 to fit the whole home screen and relocate itself to a different home screen. my quick contacts widget would duplicate into another random area and the rest of the widgets basically load with the same issues.
at first i thought it was the phone so att replaced it again and i got the same issue. after restoring. that phone cracked so now i just got a brand new one in the box, rooted and restored once again and i am still having the same issues. any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated. especially now that my GF is dissing my android because of it and claiming her iphone is better

Does anyone have: com.android.deskclock v2.0.2 ??

I need this for a custom shortcut that goes right to the alarm. The newer clock that came on my Evo LTE won't work. I recovered a backup from Titanium Backup on one of my devices w/o a problem. I then tried the same thing on my other Evo LTE but for some reason it just sits like it's recovering but no matter how long you leave it it never completes. Not sure what the hangup is but it appears as though that backup may be corrupt. I attempted the NFC 'push' of the app from one device to the other but no dice. I then used the 'send backup' option from Titanium Backup and on the new device it received it but there is no 'restore' option next to that backup. Not sure why as this should be an option otherwise what's the purpose to sending a backup if you can't restore it on the new device?
So, any suggestions on how to get this working app from one device to the other or does anyone have a link to the Deskclock v2.0.2? It's the one that has the more square white icon in the app tray whereas the newer one is circular in shape and more black than white.
Thanks!
Are you referring to the clock on the miui ROM? You can move your finger around to advance the timer? If yes, I am looking for that as well. I backed it up from the ROM so I can add it to a different ROM, no luck.

I've never used an MIUI ROM so I can't say but I know it's a stock Android Clock and think it's from Gingerbread but I'm not 100% sure on that as I ran custom ROMs that were of various Android versions so it's hard to say. The one that comes with the new ICS (and maybe the previous version but not sure) has a round icon in the app tray and is mostly black with white marks on it. The one I need is more square shaped in the app tray and is mostly white with a small black hands and a red second hand.
Still not sure why Titanium Backup won't let me send this backup to my wife's phone and the recover it on her phone. That would be the easiest way but doesn't seem to work. Also tried to use NFC to 'beam' it to her phone back to back and it wouldn't recognize it.

[Q] Google Apps Issue?

Well, if any of you have seen the YouTube video of a SGS3 underwater I can now report that claims of it being waterproof are highly exaggerated..... Anyway I went swimming with mine and so Asurion sent me a new phone. My original phone had the 1st baseband version and the replacement is I535VRLG1.
Anyway, when I logged into Google with the new phone it re installed most of my apps, My original phone, which was rooted, at some point had the icons for Gmaps and Gnav change. The Gnav icon became a map with the nav "circle" instead of the blue arrow. The new phone had the original blue arrow icon that I like. Since not all my apps were restored by google I ran my Titanium Backup and restored them all, now my nav Icon is back to the map with the circle.
I realize I may be able to find the blue icon and replace it, I'm just curious if perhaps my backup had an older version of the Gapps? If so can I flash newer Gapps to a stock rooted configuration?
Thanks

[Q] Lock Screen / Personalization App Issues

Hi everyone,
a couple of weeks ago I had to send my One S in for repair, as the soft keys (back/home/recent apps) were absolutely unresponsive (slightly off topic, but: this happened after I used the phone as a car GPS on a 13h road trip. Could this have caused it or was that just coincidence?).
Once I got it back, I re-rooted it and restored everything (system apps and data included) from a backup made shortly before I sent it in (using Titanium Backup). That, however, made my phone lose all push message capabilities, so I emptied the user and system app cache and deleted all user and system app data, which brought push capabilities back to life again. Yet, ever since then, the quick start icons (phone/sms/e-mail/camera) aren't showing up on my lock screen anymore and when I try changing background images in HTC's Personalization app, there are no images to chose from.
I'd like to try fixing this by restoring individual app data in Titanium Backup, but I wouldn't know which apps would be of interest here. Could anyone help me out with this?
Cheers,
uø
