In case anybody is interested, I just found this app to listen to Howard Stern on Sirius.
Wunder Radio,
The app works great and the connection is solid. Finally I can listen to howard and all sirius stations without having to use sirius/xm streamer and orb , which was a hassle to set up.
Note- you must have a sirius web account to use the service through wunder radio

Where is the instructions and is the App in the Market? Does it Cost?????
in the market
Yeah sorry, the app is in the market and it costs $6.99, worth every penny. Just do a market search for "wunder radio", without the quotation marks of course
Also just google "wunder radio android" and you will get some info. Sorry can't post outside links

Thanks for the heads up on this.
I'll see how this works. The Sirius Online app is pretty crappy (imo).
Great find, thanks for posting. It's not the smoothest process but I'm just happy to have my Stern back. It's really annoying that Sirius and Howard worked great on my crappy old winmo 6.1 phone but when I upgrade to this beautiful new Android the beautiful SiriusXM app doesn't play Stern. WTF
fyi, howard is also available via XiiaLive Lite app, which is free
how? can't find howard or sirius on xiialive app.

Hey guys,
I've been trying to consolidate links for streaming live tv for a while now and I decided to scrap together a simple web page with all the links. These will work "out of the box" on wm6 devices but 4 of them seem to have problems on 2003 and some wm5 devices without some sort of additional player. Let me know what you think.

i can`t believe nobody else has acknowledged what you have done !! good work fella i will be adding it to my faves. Keep adding to the list

Wow, very nice. Thanks for contributing some intelligent content - a refreshing change from all "WOW - Stream YouTube" posts. I've added this to my list of frequently accessed Favorites.
excellent tv site contribution....have definately added to my favs!!!
Good job with that site....I wish I knew more about these streaming tv sites....I would love to be able to see more local news on my device - I wonder how long before all news sites have streaming video for handhelds.
Is there a way to search for more sites?? What should I be searching for besides "internet tv"? I see a few of your sites you are directing us to start with a url of "MMS" is this what I need to be searching for??
well searching for feeds is kinda tough. If you come across an in page windows media player type feed then that will work. Send me the link and I can put it on the site. As for file types to search, you can try .asx or look for links that start with mms://. I try to set aside some time on my Sundays to search out new links on top of that.
Wow, this is nice. Also adding to my favorites. Thanks man!
Hey guys, I have upgraded my server and I'm try to drive up traffic to the site. If you have enjoyed my work and have a digg account then please click the digg it link at the bottom of my site or click here to help spread the word. Thanks for you help and your feedback guys!
hey man love the idea im having trouble though i cant stream any of the sites over my 3g on at and t i can on wifi coudl this be that proxy on at and t? i dono much about it.
No it should work. Try it in another area, it might just be your signal strength.
on nickolodian i got unspecified error on cnn it just buffered at 0 forever on fox just buffered at 0 for awhile and then the server is busy or is not responding try again later same on comedy chanel...
any way im sure its a phone side problem not your site but help would be apreciated what im noticing is the 3g icon is switching to hspda for a second then goes back to 3g so it looks like its not even trying to use data
sorry i forgot to add that i was trying your sugestion to try it in a diffrent area
Great site...I really am glad that I can keep up to date. hopefully son we can localize some channels. Just out of curiousity, how do I make me default video player the tcpmp? And if it really matters. Thanks
Flyguy, You can change the settings in TCPMP to open mms at the very bottom of the file associations but it seems like a lot of people are have problems viewing these feeds in TCPMP. Give it a shot and let me know if you have better luck.
thanks
thanks for putting this together for us. I've added it to my favorites as well.

I'm using AT&T with an 8525 (Hermes). What are your connection settings? Try setting both connections to MEdiaNet and then disable the proxy. If you have the proxy enabled you will not be able to stream TV through that connection. About the only thing the AT&T proxy will pass is HTTP traffic.
I'm also using TCPMP v0.81 as my streaming player. Works fine for me over an Edge connection. A little slow, but tolerable in most cases. Just had to set the file association in the settings.

It's called Thread Hijacking, and it's not appreciated around here. "Dude."
I spent the last few days tracking this down and thought I would save some of us time. Here is the Sirius XM app.
Enjoy
Love you! Xd

You can sign up for a trial to use if you are not a subscriber.
I have had XM for 2 years and cannot live without O and A.
It's a great service and I love the app.

sweet.. thanks for the heads up on this.. for some reason I didn't think there was an app.. make good use of my subscription.
Works 50% of the time, but when it does it's fantastic. Other 50% of the time it says Service is Down.
I love Sirius service, but what a ****ty app. First, the sound quality goes in and out, next it has an Inactivity timeout of something like 2 hours...so if your like me and you sit there listening at work you have to click the 'restart' button 3-4 times in a day. I know why they do it with Internet Users, but there needs to be a better (longer) timeout for the App. THE WORST part is that if you get a call while it's running, it won't stop...it plays throughout your call. A very poor 1.0 release. Be warned, I bought a Stiletto2 thinking it would be a great Sirius device (and it is for the most part), but they NEVER update the software or add features. I doubt we will ever see a 1.1 version of the Sirius App....I love the concept of Sirius, but they really don't give a **** about their customers.
couple improvements I'm hoping for is a widget with the app. Also dvr functions pause/rewind/ff. Also recording would be great... they are allowing timeshifting with the Skydock now also caching with the Slacker app.. so maybe..
All good ones. I hope they beef up the buffer a little otherwise loving it

Hi, wondering if someone has found something besides the official grooveshark app? I had nanogroove on my touch pro2 and loved it. I do not mind paying for the app, but I only want to pay ONCE not monthly. I do not see a need to pay for something monthly that I will probably not use ever month, just when the occasion arises. Does not have to be grooveshark specifically either, just an app that i can type in an artists name of song title and it search and stream it. Thanks in advance.
I came from the TP2 and loved nanogroove... Took me a while to find a replacement. Search the market for "Song Storm Lite" .... You won't feel like you are missing nanogroove anymore. Plus it puts the file automatically in your library instead of having to do the groovy.mp3 rename trick

Ya just so you guys know the app isn't available on the Market anymore. Grooveshark asked me to remove it last friday so as of this Monday it is no longer available (it was only a matter of time). I'll maybe host the .apk file on the ****ty website i have up for the app or just release the source code this weekend. Let me know what you guys think. I want to keep it working in the future b/c most of the other apps have a smaller libraries and I can't find the music that I want.
This morning I found this app called gtunes on the market. Its where you can search for a song and and download it for free. I was wondering if this is illegal because they have a lot of new songs to download and it seems illegal. What do you think?

The app and the process it uses to find the songs are not illegal, its a glorified search engine. The process of downloading the songs onto your phone that you do not own is illegal.

If you play the songs on it, no. But if you download the songs to your device, it's no different than downloading the songs on Limewire or Kazaa or anything like that.

I would agree with this but RIAA and MPAA cannot setup a download site/app/program or provide movies/music to download in an effort to catch people in the act. That is called a sting operation and can only be done VIA an authorized entity like the police.
Apps of this nature are not illegal and that is the reason they remain on the market, the only variant to there legal stature is you clicking download.

No, but they can monitor the download that someone else puts up and notify your ISP by doing a lookup of the IP of the downloader. This is a known issue for torrents. Then you will receive a notice in the mail(USPS) letting you know that you should stop.
I am unsure of how you could be monitored downloading through this app, but I don't count anything out.
Download it via free wifi somewhere.
If you like the song, buy a real CD so you can do whatever you want with it.
If it's not worth buying, why bother listening to it?
Because if it's not worth buying, it's probably crap.
Why worry about getting busted over something that is not good enough to buy, anyway?
And what's wrong with just googling "parent directory" mp3 -htm -html -download -links, saving to your computer and copying to your phone?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm feeling very inquisitive
Are there any working FM radio apps for the android?
The stock rom for my Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 includes and FM radio app. However the custom rom I installed did not include one, and searching the app market has revealed only a ton of apps that stream radio from the internet (seems every radio station in the country has their own app), and a tuner app that can't even launch without crashing itself.
Both MIUI and CM have FM radio apps. Don't know of any from the market.

Yes sure there is FM radio app exist that will be available and used on the android phones such as "TuneIn". It is basically a great Application because it allows you to listen to around 25,000 FM stations. Isn't that cool? Moreover you can also able to get more radio apps in Android phones

That actually streams FM radio from the internet. True FM radio is a hardware requirement, but with smartphone data plans manufacturers don't really include them anymore.

Yeah, the internet radio apps won't help you there. You need to have a phone that has FM tuner program. These programs use the headphones as antennas to absorb the radio waves. This isn't something you can download. My experience with these has been poor in the past.

So, it appears the GS3 has radio FM tuner support. The program is $10, though, so I'm not sure I want to try it based on the limited feedback I've read so far. I think I'll check and see if my MP3 player has support and just stick with two devices for now, one for music, one for communications.

I know this one ain't free, and it isn't a native tuner...but it has really helped my life over the years. It's called "Nobex" and somehow you can tune in like every radio station in the country once you get the app. It's $1.99 I think on Google Play, and has a crappy gui, but well worth the cost unless I'm missing a free option somewhere.

does not work under Jelly_Kang v.1.9 (4.1.1) - FC
Besides this I think, the creator of this thread is looking for a FM radio app like Spirit FM and not for a streaming or Internet Radio App.
TuneIn and Nobex stream the Radio FM signal over network and this is not the same like a real FM radio app, which can be used without data connection
