TouchFlo 2D on the Tornado

Hi all,
As some of you know already, TouchFlo 2D has been ported to WM Standard phones. Currently this works on the Shadow but in theory it should work for most portrait QVGA Smartphones.

Unfortunately, my Tornado Tempo is currently with my partner because his Nokia N73 just died.
Anyone tried TouchFlo 2D out on their Tornadoes yet?

Tried it, and the tornado is a bit short on memory if you try to follow the instructions and install everything on the device's memory instead of the memory card.
But so far this hasn't worked on mine. And once you install the dpi file I couldn't install anything after it. I think its because I hit cancel, and it leaves the installer running and when you reset you can't every get back to the screen to finish it.

Since the phone is so limited in terms of memory it may be an idea to flash a very clean/vanilla ROM and load it on thereafter. I'll give it a shot when I get a chance! I am trying to prise my Tornado from the clutches of my partner, but he loves it so much he refuses to let go of it.

Good luck, I started by clearing the storage and had 17.5 MB to start, by the time I had run all the "Needed" programs I had around 6 Megs left. The last step is the M2D cab which needs about 12 megs to install so you'll need quite a bit to get it all to work. If I get time tonight I might try putting a few of the files on the storage card.

Gosh! It doesn't sound like there is much room to manoeuvre! What we really need is a WM 6.1 ROM which drops the sliding panels and uses this TouchFlo 2D instead. From a cursory inpection of the available ROMs though, all have CHome. The exeption is rickywyatts ROM, but that has Neo instead.
Otherwise it looks like cooking is required, and I am no chef.

Yeah Mark, I would love that phone but I have tied myself to the TouchPro and REGRETTING it very much. (look for dsf's thread)

Explain yourself more detailed. Can you post them?

Firstly V4 isnt posted yet, so not sure how you have it unless he was kind enough to give it to you.
Second he has made or worked on many roms why would he start to do something like this.
Finaly many times I load a program onto the phone and it wanrs me that it could access my data in one way or another, so not sure this is unusual but happy to be corrected.
Last If you dont like the rom or are concerned just delete it, and dont flash it flash a different rom..

Sorry Calner I cannot understand what you are trying to say.
Firstly where did you get R4 of this rom?
I ask as as he hasnt released it then there is a chance that where ever you got it from has altered his rom.
Second what exactly is happening ie does you virus software on your pc pick up a virus in said file.

what? notes in tomboy are changed? how can an installed rom on your cell phone modify your pc files ?

Ok for the record I now have and have installed the rom R4 version. (its fast)
at nop point did I get any message warning me when installing.
I have scanned the file with three virus scanners and nothing found.
I come back to my origional point . did you get the file from nk02 or from someone else. someone else could have zipped something else into the rar file.
anyway I like it and can see no problems at all with the rom.

Calner mi raccomando scrivilo anche su altri forum,mi sembra piu'che altro che invecere di capire cos'e' tu ti diverta a dare falsita',secondo me e' un problema tuo,un update.zip non e' un virus ed e' lo stesso che ha passato a me nk02 ed io non ho nessun tipo di problema.

Hai ragione, sono un pessimo beta tester. Solo ero parecchio incazzato per me chiuderei tutto.

No,solo es para roms con sense 3.0 full no sense 3.0+2.1

so far all the widgets i used are in good shape except the weather clock widget which is slightly stretched so that the sun/moon appears in elliptical shape
i think ur resized rosie is closest to the sensation one, unlike cypis' rosie which tends to give smaller widgets, ur resized one is just optimal in size =]
mind making a slightly transparent dock rosie?
the reason why i prefer ur rosie to cypis' one is because the icons in homescreen in ur rosie is FARTHER from the dock than cypis' one, which makes a lil bit more sense

After flashing the widgets the selections of Clock Widgets,Calendars Widget,People Widgets,etc... were disappeared . I can select those by choose "Browse all HTC Widgets" but they suppose to appear here.Here some Screen shots

It's better to wait to have a finished rom before porting .
C'est mieux d'attendre qu'une rom soit totalement debugué avant d'en porter une autre .

Normally it should but according to the android versions you must authorize the application to start at boot.

It is great. But didn't start after sleep in Junsun v1pro. Really need time always on display. What must to do to dont close after sleeping

I just tried using this app and it's not working. It's constantly crashing.
Is this a dead app no longer being developed?
