Any way to get rid of this stupid on screen notification?i like to use my beautiful nexus one clock apk so I get a nice big time on the screen like an alarm clock. It's only to be interrupted by a battery full message at full brightness in the middle of the night. Any way to get rif of this?

Is there any way to remove the alarm icon from the status area? I mean, it's always on, since I use it as one of my alarm clocks for work (I use three, at varying distances from bed, otherwise I'd never be able to wake up at 4AM), so it's kind of a waste of space, and it's a bit fugly to boot.
I'd love to have a 24 hour night clock like in this thread......

But, only when plugged in. That's the way I think it should of been from the beginning. Its a battery drainer otherwise. A night clock should be only on at night when a person traditionally plugs in to charge it like you would over night. Another great toggle would be for the night clock to only activate when the alarms set. I generally don't care what time it is if I don't have to get up for work. If I work I wake up and look at the clock cause my alarm is set for 3 am. Another great feature would be a notification toggle for the night clock.
When the Note is off not powered off and one swipes or taps on the edge screen, the time, date and temp will show and goes off depending on how one has set the timeout for in the Settings menu. My question is does anyone know how to keep that panel on with the same settings as the Night clock. The reason is that it is much brighter than the Night clock and I like it better.
T-Mobile Lollipop completely stock 5.0.1
Thanks,
Robert

Thanks but must be rooted. Also, 12 hrs is enough for me with the Night clock. Want I would like is the brighter time, date and temp that when the phone is the Home screen and you press the Power button the screen turns off. Then when the screen and edge is black you scroll up and down the edge screen a widget comes on with the time, date and temp but Much brighter. My question, is there any way I can use that widget or whatever it's called for the Night clock instead of the one that currently Android uses (which is not as bright nor does it have the temp display)?
Thanks,
Robert
I asked the same question on r/oneplus.
So I've bought a OP 7 Pro just 1 month ago and I'm really paranoid about burn in.
I searched a lot about amoled technology and from what i read i assumed screen burn in it's not something recoverable. And I took all the security measures to not make it happen. Auto-brightness, screen timeout to 30s, AOD turned off, and i never leave a static image on my phone.
Today I noticed that when i plugged my phone and the colors screensaver started, the fingerprint icon left a visible mark like it was burned in. But it lasted only a couple seconds and then it disappeared. Same thing happens with the signal icon on the status bar.
So, is that screen burn in? Or it's just image retention? And why is it recovering? Should I worry about it becoming permanent? I'm not even enjoying the phone anymore :c
Sorry for my english and thank you
Not that big of a deal. Especially with screen technology these days. Walk into your local carrier store, or Best Buy, look at an old phone that has an amoled screen and that's left on all the time for display. That's burn in. When the image stays there after a long period of time and doesn't disappear when the screen is turned off and on. When I had my S8 and S9, it was noticeable that the clock and always-on home button shifted all of the time. With screen technology the way it is now, a lot of OEM skins have some sort of burn-in protection in place. I've left the screen on my 7 Pro on for hours on end, alas at the lowest brightness, with the screen timeout set to never and I've never had an issue.
I'm paranoid about burn-in too. I use navigation gestures and systemui tuner app to hide status bar. I use battery widget reborn to see battery percentage and other notifications can be seen in notifications pull down shade. Use auto brightness to change brightness more frequently. I use amoled antiburn app to check for any burn-in. All clear so far.
Since launch, Not much chatter concerning this as an issue... Enjoy your device
I have Google maps burned in..? I hate it because you can see see on a white background alot.
Hi,
I'm looking for a way to have notifications when my screen is off (i miss so much the led i had on my OP6).
I've tried AOD but i don't want to have, all the time, the hour on my phone.
I just want that, when the screen is off and, for example, i have a message, i have a little notification on this screen. Nothing else.
How can i have that please?
Thanks
There are a few apps such as this one that may be what you're looking for:
NotifyBuddy - Notification LED - Apps on Google Play
Missing LED notifications on your phone!? Worry not!
play.google.com
AlwaysOnEdge -Notification LED - Apps on Google Play
Notifications edge lighting, AOD, Animated wallpapers, Charging indicator & more
play.google.com
No affiliation to either app.
Hi,
thanks for the answer, i'm gonna try that even if i'm a little worried about battery drain
I thought this kind of notification was possible with this android stock version i have. I thought i just didn't find the way to configurate it. How is it possible that OP gives us the possibility to have AOD with the clock and notifications but not just the notifications, without the clock... ? :/
In your opinion, what drains less battery? OAD with a minimalist clock or one of those Led app?
