With apps like Audible, Mint, and Kindle it seems like the gap is closing between the Android and iPhone user experience.
What apps/games are "missing" that you would like to see on the Android platform?
I'll be writing an article on my blog www.androidappjudge.com on this subject. I would love the input.
Peggle needs to be on android.
Monkey ball
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
audiosurf. (not on iphone but still..)
plants vs zombies.
iGO (not that 320x240 version) or TomTom
The Impossible Game.
Words with friends.

Audiosurf would be an excellent addition.
What I have really been wanting is a simple DLNA client for android. There are lots of apps that can act as a DLNA server for sending music and stuff to TVs but all I want is a simple GUI that will let me stream my home music collection over wifi or HSDPA using a DLNA server of my choice on my PC.
Autostitch, so i can make awesome pics like this on my phone, without having to email the pics taken with my phone to my ipad.

What should #200 be?
Come on people, flood me with suggestions! First one to guess an app I don't already have (and is halfway useful), gets a prize!
EDIT: So I've been suggested 3 apps that I don't have and are currently determining whether or not either of the three could be my 200th app.
They are:
Hockey Nations
Bar Tender
FeedR
Tunewiki ^^
i have 229 now...still 133 MB left on phone internals ^^
Tried it... but with all the other music apps I have installed, I didn't need it so I uninstalled it.
I try to only keep apps that I would open at least once a week.
Remember the Milk / Astrid (doing RTM for free)
mobile package tracker
Dropbox
FeedR
Hockey Nations
iTag
SongDNA Search
Google I/O
Slacker Radio
Personal Assistant Pro. If you don't have it, you should.
Remember the Milk / Astrid (doing RTM for free) Had Astrid installed, but I'm too lazy to keep stuff in it. The only "list/task" app I use is Our Groceries, which actually gets forgotten about more than it's used.
mobile package tracker Don't order packages enough...
Dropbox Already have it.
FeedR Gonna give this one a shot, as NewsRob is awesome but way too expensive for a simple news reader.
Hockey Nations Not a hockey fan, but the graphics of this app looks pretty intense... gonna give it a try too.
iTag I usually edit all the tags on the computer before offloading to the phone... but I could see where this would be useful.
SongDNA Search Couldn't find this app...

FeedR is the best...syncs with google reader and has free configurable widgets

FeedR is the best...syncs with google reader and has free configurable widgets
AK Notepad If it had Google docs sync support, I'd use it over Gdocs... but that only means replacing an already installed app.
Bump May try this once my wife gets her fender mytouch, but until then it's useless to me.
ICE for the sake of jinxing me, I'm not going to comment on this one... lol
Tapatalk I actually find using one of the many amazing browsers faster and more enjoyable than using Tapatalk or the XDA app...
Tux Rider Gonna try this one out...
Winds of Steel Is it better than Armageddon Squadron?

I've been looking for a LONG time for an android app like this. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to find one.
This is a pic from the iphone app which basically shows when the next new show airs on only specific shows you enter in the app.. nothing else is there like on the TV guide app where you browse channel/time..
Thanks for all your help.
I'm looking for something smiliar... Would be awesome if someone could create an app that works a bit like http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/
Of course I could always load up the website, but would be better to have it as an app. If someone has the time and skills to do a proper app with a good UI I'd definately donate a beer or two.
tvguide.com has an app on the marketplace. There's also tvlisting from jersey productions.
I tried those apps and they arent really what I'm looking for, for anyone who has had an iphone and used "Tv forecast" you will know what I mean..
Instead of sifting through channels 1-900ish trying to find the right show you input it into the program and it comes back with the next NEW showing.. nothing more, no bloating of other random channels you dont care about.
I'm just looking for a similar android app, that would make my iphone -> n1 transition really complete!
the tvguide.com one allows you to put in favorites and it shows you the next showings.
Shoot an email to the dev of TV Forecast, maybe they'll port it.

Okay, this is bad a**! I always forget when shows I like will be on. Thanks for the heads up on it.
try TV Show Favs from the market, there is a free ad supported version with 14day premium trial inside.
this app in my experience blows tv forecast out of the water, and is so good i opted to pay for the premium version. even though all the features you want and need are free!
Check this App out. Works perfekt for me. SeriesGuide:

I have tried so many google reader apps. But could not find one thats really good
In iphone i have newsrack - Very good one and has nice preview of images with each icon.
Feedsquare is one with similar fns but sync is terrible
Any suggestions.
I like greader. It reminds me of the mobile site, and is very easy to navigate.
Did you tried Newsrob?
I used to use Newsrob, but now I've switched to using the Reader mobile site - it's great. No good for you if you need offline reading of course, but it gets my vote
I think they all SUCK. I don't have a lot in my list, perhaps 12 sources, half of them news, other tech stuff. And syncing in every Greader app I've found takes forever, often either downloading some X number of total articles and skipping ALL the rest (wtf??) or downloading thousands of articles. Hello, X number of new articles?
So I just read in the default browser, it works great, but obviously it's not offline... Don't try it in Opera, it renders horribly.
Using the Greader site, works ok.
But since I'm using Feedly (Firefox extension) on my laptop I'm really looking forward to their Android app that should be released shortly.
NewsRob works for me.

gReader is the best in my opinion, tried most everything.
I don't like gReader, it's too damn iPhony. This is Android, no clue why the dev follows Apple's GUI guidelines here lol
Anyway, my vote goes to FeedR, slick and fast. Although if I haven't purchased it, then I would just use the mobile site.
Looking forward to an official app from Google.
Yup, another vote for the mobile site here.
The big problem for me with the Android apps is that they only do the feeds and not the shares from friends (e.g. shares from Google Buzz).
have u all try feedR? i think it's the best from all google reader apps i've tried

There is a good ui guidline for Android. There is one also for icons, widgets, and what not. Check out the Android Dev site. It doesn't have to be very detailed and covers everything, but it sure preserves the Android style and atmosphere which is NOTHING like gReader.

Your Apps that you would show people that are interested in your phone..
I just got mine and have a good amount so far and always looking for more..
Here are mine so far.......
Floating images..
I love the way it lays the pictures as if they were scattered on a coffee table, and as it "floats" by you can click a picture to see it bigger..
Totally cool
Instant Heartrate
Just like it says, it accurately (The few times I checked) checks your heart rate by "lightly" putting your finger on the camera lens.. It was accurate each and every time I compared it to my real HB monitor.
Barcode Scanner/google shopper
Both do about the same thing, only google shopper will scan image as well as bar code, kinda cool.
Those are some of the many I have tried, but I am sure there are more.
So what are your go to apps to show off with?
The "Pure" widgets. Especially to iPhone owners.

I like to show off with Slingplayer. Watching live Tv and controlling my DVR who can resist. Then Droidlive for my Howard Stern Bootleg streams hehe. And Speedtest to show how fast 4g is to 3g
30 bucks for the slingplayer app huh? Still cool though!
I usually end up pulling out my ipod touch to show wicked apps/games.

Can your iPhone/iPod do this?....open up MusicJunk3 and start downloading mp3's for free, then open up gmob and download some pirated apps, browse a few YouTube pages all at the same time....they're like, oh wow FLASH! Also go into recovery and flash a font on a whim, then a theme, flash it all back to normal again...can your iPhone do that? Um well no...ok then. Hey what movie should I download for you, I have a torrent client and I dont need to worry about data caps...Iron Man 2? Ok good call! Well watch it on my EVO since it has a bigger brighter screen. Video games? I have a few, but lets grab a 12 pack and go to my place and play some Halo Reach on my 53'' screen.
I was showing off my EVO to my dad, Google nav in satellite view and the sky maps and he was pretty impressed, but he's not as much of a phone geek as I am. My mama is too attached to Blackberry to care lol

Theres an app called remotely possible. You can control most media programs. It costs $5. Its not as responsive as youd like but it does work

Ah, one would think that MS integrates across platforms. They don't and this is a major cause of frustration by users. Save yourself the aggrevation and only think of MS as providing stove-piped solutions. This will make your life better. Of course I haven't been able to do this and I get frustrated at least once a day because of it. I'm guessing that I'm too far down the caring path and it's going to take a major effort to get over this affliction.
