I've been experiencing an issue with the XDA app
Every time I reply to a post the app force closes on me
I choose to reply to a post and am able to write my message
After I'm done I choose menu> submit
It shows the load or updating ring then a dialog box pops up and says reply successful then the app force closes to the main menu

When I havet usedom the bra the browser for a while and want tog close it, I need to press back through all the history before it closes. Pressing home will keep it in the background.
Is there a way to close it easy?

Just realized that the browser doesnt close with the back button so I can use the menu button instead.

I want groove ip and twitter to start on boot because sometimes i forget and groove ip is my source for voice calls.
Is there an app that will allow me to do this? I looked in the market but could only find apps that could disable apps from auto starting

Tasker can do what you are asking just set up a profile to run on device boot.

I got tasker but i have no idea how to set up the profile lol
No problem, to set it up open up tasker:
On main window click New 'bottom center' enter a name for the profile somwthing like' auto start'
Now from the First Context menu select 'Event'
From the Select Event Category select 'System'
Now select 'Device Boot'
Ok, now you should be at the Task Selection Dialog click 'New Task' and give it a name eg 'Apps startup' but any name will do.
From here the Task Edit window click the Plus sign at the bottom right
Click 'App'
Then 'Load App'
Give it a second for the apps to spawn and choose the app you want to auto start.
Once selected click done on the new window
Repeat the last 2 steps for all the apps you want to auto load.
Once you have selected all the apps you wanted to load on start up. Click 'Done' on all windows till you are back to the main tasker window. Hit 'Apply' and you should be all set up.
Should the icon on the top right of the main menu be a check or ban sign?

A check mark means active the red ban sign means inactive. So make sure it's the check mark.

Hi! How to make an app be launched in the background / minimized? It there a universal parameter there to use with launching an app task? Like -m / -minimized or something like that?
I just successfully flashed my first rom after 2 bricks,i noticed that my text message notification plays 4 seconds of a song that I've never had set as a ringtone, before the actual sound I have set as notification sound (gunshot)goes off.

nothing to do with the rom and everything to do with what app you are using for your texting. also, there is an entire Q&A thread this could have been asked in
I use swype for text

The app not the input method
Already threads about this, please post there.
On that note, thread closed.
My s3 is totally stock. But for some reason everytime I receive a text message my phone makes two different alert tones. It also shows I still have an unread text in the notification pull done screen. How do I stop it from notifying me twice?
You have two messaging apps probably. Go in the one you don't use and uncheck notifications.

Ive only downloaded flickr app so far. That's it...I don't get it???
So when you tap on the duplicate notification what pops up?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
When I tap the notification (shown in my first post screen shot), nothing happens. But I can clear it out.
Only thing I can think of since I don't recognize the icon, is to do a logcat. Unless somebody else here can tell you what it is....

Anytime I get a notification for the XDA Developers application and I go to open up the status bar notification all I get is the loading screen that never actually opens therefore I can never see you replies to my post. Has anyone else had this issue?
