Well, that's not literally true. You can select to install or uninstall from that site, which is handy. But you still need to go in through market via Appbrain app on your device, and you still need to individually select the OK buttons, etc for each app installing and uninstalling.
Ideally you would select install or uninstall from the site, then on the phone go on with the client, review the list and click the X to stop the action if one is wrong, and then let her rip.

Actually, it is literally true. If you install Appbrain's Fast Web Installer, it will install whatever app you click install on momentarily on your phone without any interaction from you on your phone.
Thanks. I was hoping someone would debunk my comments.
Seems everything has more tips and tricks to need to know to "git 'er done".
Thanks for the tip about the fast web installer, nice.
And I like the way appbrain updates more than market, plus it can be easier to click install apps, and sync them later to install (easier now with the fast web installer)
download the appbrain app and then use it to sync with appbrain.com
now all your app info is available on the site and it wil track your updates and/or replace your apps. iT makes it easier than hunting on the app store

i dont know about most people, but i tend do download and try out a lot of apps from the maket just to compare and i was wondering if there is anyway for someone to remove apps quickly (e.g. iphone style). yes i know go get an iphone..etc etc, but i just want this one feature. i just find it hassle to go in to settings-->manage applications and wait for it to load and scroll down and find the app and click uninstall, especially when your downloading and trying a bunch of apps.

New Market. http://market.android.com.
UPDATE: We can sign in now. When going to download an app it offers a list of what device to install it to. My only Android device is my G Tablet and the market lists it as NVIDIA VEGAn-Tab-V1.0.0.B5.1.
Technically an web-based app market should offer us an "full" app market, no? i'm sure every app is visible, i guess the question now is after we log in will the app market recognize our device and attempt to block certain apps from us, or would an app that doesn't show up on the Gtab just give us an app not found when we click on it from the Gtab browser?

Correct when trying to sign into market.android.com you get a invalid request both on the PC and Gtab and Phone.
They mentioned that when you select an app, it will list the available devices you can push it to, based off your registered devices features and OS.
I take this to mean that if you can't see it in the Market on your device.....your device want be listed as a choice to install for those apps on the web.
Oh..and this is typically for you to do from your home/work/public library computer.....browse the apps, select what you want and it installs to your phone. You still use the "Market" app on the devices (phones/tablets).

I wonder if this will be unusable for people with devices that aren't intended to have access to the Market like our beloved G Tabs. Will Google let you OTA install to a device that they think shouldn't be there?

If all the apps aren't showing up, just use the market hack. Go to the task manager, force stop and clear the browser cache and reboot.

I thought since this is web based, it would let us sideload to any android device from our pc. That would suck if it doesn't.

There are still apps that don't show up, even after the Market hack.
So I guess this is the right section, correct me if i am wrong.
I've installed a craked version of Beautiful Widgets (shame on me) so I could try it for some time. Now I want to buy the application and I cant! Somehow the android market thinks i've purchased the app.
Does any one know a way to fix that?
Tks
Have you tried uninstalling the cracked version first? That should in theory let you buy it. If you already did that then I have no idea lol.

I've flashed the new GB, so the app is not at my phone anymore /=
Try clearing data for the market. Go to settings > applications > manage applications, then select the "all" tab. Scroll down until you find the market app and select it. Select the "clear data" button. If that doesn't clear the cache - it should - clear that as well. Then open the market and search for Beautiful Widgets. Hopefully you'll be able to purchase it before it repopulates your list of apps.
I've noticed this with apps that I got for free from Amazon. If you cannot get that to work, wait until there's an update to BW. Once you see the "update" button and select it, you'll be given an option to buy it. I thought that somehow the Market integrated with Amazon (yeah right), but unfortunately not.
I think pirating apps is sleazy, especially considering that they're usually only $1-$3 and a one-time purchase. But thank you for actually purchasing the app after pirating it.

I´ve already tryed to clear the market data and no succes =/ Guess I will have to wait for the next update from Level Up.
I agree with you plainjane, the apps price are VERY reasonable, but I like to try the apps for some time before buying them and the new market refound system makes impossible to try the app for some time.
Any other suggestions?
Have you tried purchasing it from a computer? Go to the market website and try there. If you're able to purchase it there, the download should automatically start on your device if you're connected to the Internet.
Alternatively, you can reinstall the app and uninstall it from the market. You should then have the option to purchase it.
If you can't get anything to work, you can always contact Market support.

If you think you still have remains on your phone from the cracked version you can try the app in my signature "sd maid" to remove those remains.

Sadlly no. The web market (market.google) has a database for the purchased apps. So if you install a cracked version of an App google put a purchased flag on the database. But i think that the old market does not use this database that is why i was abble to buy the app using the old market.
When i say the old market i mean that one that came with the 2.2, with a green half circle on top.

OK the way to do it that has worked for me when I use cracked apps to test is that, it will look like it thinks you have purchased but when you hit update or install, it will ask you to pay.
Remember to hit the thanks button if I helped! It only takes a second!

thx for helping out, but problem not solved!
i have tried the following:
* update from cracked app
* uninstalled cracked app and then install from market
* uninstalled cracked app, installed demo version from market and then tried to upgrade to full version
all of these attempts failed!
it just says in the market that the app is purchased and when i try to install it (or update it), it says something like "download declined because app is not purchased"!
i guess a full wipe would be a solution, but i´d rather not do that, right now!
Full wipe won't help...at least it didn't in my case. I have done a few full wipes and even switched between android versions and still get to "download and install" before it tells me app is not purchased but there is no purchase option in market, only install...

Just curious:
Let's say I purchased an app from the Marketplace, and it was later delisted. Using Windows Phone Device Manager, I can back up the individual files for my apps, but is it possible to also restore them? Say I had to do a hard reset, or uninstalled an app, not realizing it was delisted. Is it possible to put the app back on my phone? Additionally, it's my understanding that pirated Xbox Live games will not have achievements available to them. Therefore, if there IS a way to restore apps that I've uninstalled (or otherwise lost), will it enable Xbox Live functionality if it's backed up from my phone and restored to my phone?
I did a search of the forums, but didn't find an answer, so I apologize if this has already been asked. Thank you for your time.
This won't work. There's more to an app than just its install files; it also needs to be registered with the AppMgr (this is what does things like put it in the app list) and also needs a security chamber (basically, a user account) created with custom permissions (each app runs in a different chamber).

There should be if you check your dl history on the WP site. You can redownload apps from there and if it works anything like the Xbox marketplace, this will include delisted apps. Haven't had to do it myself yet, so cannot be sure but worth a try.

FYI, the Marketplace does not work like that for WP7. If you try to redownload an app that you previously had (free or paid) that is NO LONGER on the Marketplace, with the Reinstaller App for example, it will not find the files to do the download.
However, if you know who the developer is/was, might be able to contact them and have them send you the XAP....
I am rooted and familiar somewhat with TB . I have a hide my text app from the market which works well and even hides the icon, but it still shows up under the market as installed. I tried destroying market link but no luck.

Try uninstalling it via the Play Store instead of doing it directly via the phone.

I don't really understand exactly what you're trying to do, but what I think you're saying is that even though you've uninstalled the app it's still showing that you have installed it in the past, so you want to remove your history of having installed it?
Try going to the Play Store, then click the upper left icon to bring up the side view, then go to 'My apps.' Once there to to the 'all' tab and search for the app you want removed from your installation history and press the x on the right side.
Thanks guys... But sorry I wasn't clear. I want to keep the app, it was free, but not have it show up on the play store as being installed

I think I did what you said in your original post. If you go into Titanium Backup and then click on the app you want to hide, then go to the special features tab, then under "play store/market" click detach from market. The first time I tried it it actually didn't work... So I tried rebooting the phone and it still showed up, however, after going back to Titanium backup and toggling between attach and detaching from the play store/market it seemed to work. Try messing around with it a little more and see if it works.
EDIT: My mistake, it still is showing up in the all tab of google play, but not the installed tab... I'll keep messing with it.
Alright, guys (@Jaeryl, @Josh McGrath), here's my recommendation.
Instead of using Titanium, try copying the actual .apk of the text editor app from /data/app to the external sdcard. Then, go into Google Play on your PC and completely delete that text editing app. Refresh your device so that the app is also removed from there.
All you have to do now is go back to where you copied the .apk, install it, and voilá - your app is effectively eliminated from the Play Store, but is also still installed, just like you wanted.

I was actually about to suggest this... if you can't figure out how to do is you can always uninstall the app then just download an apk of the app online. I read that if you install it as an apk it won't be associated with the play store and thus won't show up.

That's exactly right.
See, Google Play can't and doesn't detect every app on your system, just the ones that came from the store itself that are being synced to all your devices. Think about it this way - a Nook Touch device uses the Barnes and Noble bookstore, and when you buy a book from the bookstore, B&N remembers it anr syncs it to all of the devices hooked up to your account.
However, if you download a PDF or ePub book from the Internet and sideload it onto your Nook, B&N doesn't know or care about it - all they care about is the products you purchase from them. And this means that that sideloaded book will not appear on your B&N account, nor will it be synced to your other devices.
Hopefully that little analogy helps you understand it a bit better.

From Google Play store, tap and hold on the app you seeing as installed, you will see remove or delete option there. Remove it, so you would never see that app again in installed list.
