Im just looking for a basic clock widget so no weather widget suggestions lol...
I want to see how much difference this would make to my battery instead of having my usual weather widget installed and updating regularly..

Just what i was looking for!! Thanks!
Just installed it and rebooted and it doesnt hold the time.. ? Is that a bug?
Other than that its spot on!!

I'd like a digital clock which would also show seconds.

Holding the time for me just fine. Though I have my clock set to not sync to network time.
SETTINGS> Date & Time Settings> Automatic (deselect this)

When you say that it doesn't update (or takes a minute) that when you boot the phone up, the time just displays Hh:Mm where the time should be?
I found the quicker way to sort it (me being impatient) is remove the widget from the home screen and then re-add it. 95% of the time it will show the time straight away.

I was thinking.. Is there a really simple web browser for winmo that is set to 100% page size and has no borders etc so it totally full screen that supports jquery like opera.. I could than make a really pretty jquery clock with date which launches automatically using gprofile as soon as it is plugged in to my dock.. (see's headset connected)

you can't? I haven't tried yet.. shame on me.. as a flash developer.. but a phone with flash lite installed should be able to play standalone flash lite swf files..
I do know IE plays swf's full screen.. but making a little website with a clock seems a little lame.. like a surogate app..

Even better would be a radio alarm clock that worked in landscape.
I spend a few nights a month in hotel rooms around Europe and the iPhone (*spit*) had a couple of great Radio Alarm Apps that I used.
Can't beat waking up to BBC Radio 4

Go Weather Widget Skins

Anyone else that using the Go Weather widget having problems where the themes for the widget aren't allowing you to browse for more? Seems to only be allowing me to select two - the default and a simple one.
I really want the lucid pro one, but even if I download it from the market it isn't showing up in the widget's theme section. I hate that default one with the flowers and green lawn.
I am having the exact same issue. What ROM are you on?

My wifes phone is a Samsung Fascinate, with a Touchwiz debloated Rom, mine was running MIUI, now running Jermaine's Stock Plus from yesterday. Having the issue on all of them, including my wifes.
I'm having exactly the same issue. The missing themes are available in the Market, but if you download them for there they are not associated with the application and will not load...
Strangely, mine started working. I wish I knew what I did, but I didn't actually do anything that I'm aware of. Sorry I'm no more help.
I did notice a banner news update in the GoWeather app which talked about fixing the bug with the widget packs not being selectable, but I know I didn't install an update.
I believe they said it was a server issue
I still have the issue on my Atrix. Had on a stock ROM, now having still with CM7.
Doesn't seem to be server issue or at least doesn't seem to be fixed yet.
Ääähhh...did nobody of you guys realize that the widget doesnt actualize the weather and shows completely wrong weather data? I tried our big german cities like münchen, düsseldorf, dortmund, berlin...with the same result. when will goweather devs wake up and fix that?

I gave up and switched to the Android Weather widget. Always accurate and goes nice with the stock Go launcher. I like that it has wind speed. I already have a calender widget so use the date tap to open the Weather Channel for a more detailed forecast. It also shows your exact address on the 2nd screen, which can be useful.

[Q] Widget Locker - Overlapping Sliders/Widgets

Good morning everyone, I took a look through xda but couldn't find a solution to this problem.
I'm trying to overlap a custom slider (ics_invisible) directly on top of a 2x1 time widget made with "Make Your Clock Widget", but keep the slider on top of the time widget.
I've placed the time widget in the centre of the screen where I want it, and then placed the slider below it:
View attachment 1066771
Using "Resize", I dragged up the slider until it sits directly over the time widget:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It works like a charm at first, but eventually, somehow the time widget gets layered on top of the slider so I'm unable to select the middle of the slider. I've tried changing the order in which I'm inserting the time & slider and how I resize them, but it always ends with the time widget sitting on top again.
Any help to getting the slider to stay on top of the time widget would be very helpful! Thanks

try long hold on the clock and selecting move to back. Should prevent that issue.

Motoactv, post your homescreen here!

This is a thread for Motoactv users to post screenshots of their homescreens.
Make sure you give a little explanation of what widgets you have etc!

I'm on DP Rom, using Zeam launcher. The clock is a UCCW widget.
The 't' icon, is the Nook bluetooth tethering widget.
The only problem i have, is that when i turn my watch on, there is a split second delay for the UCCW widget to update to the correct time
No device should be without the mandatory "show your home screen" thread
I like your idea of using UCCW for the clock widget but found that using One More Clock has some nice presets already. Anyway, all I actually wanted to ask is what the best way for taking screen shots on the MotoACTV are... I'm spoiled with the pre-installed tools on my TF101 and the Note II but i still have a tool I downloaded from here a long time ago.
Thanks!

I use Screenshot Ultimate, with shake to take!
How did you install widgets? I'm on the latest DP rom and every widget that I've install doesn't show up under the list (only the stock ones do) when trying to add a widget to zeam launcher or launcher 7. I just tried one more clock with no avail.

You have to go into Manage Applications and find your installed widget, then click the "move to phone" button.

App like simi-folder - floating shortcuts?

Hi folks,
I'm looking for an app where if I press a shortcut (from Pie specifically), it will bring up a bunch of pre-defined app shortcuts.
Simi folder works well, but the problem for me is that it positions itself oddly. Its fine if I launch it from the dock row of icons (which I actually want to replace) but because Pie is built into systemUI, it positions itself near the status bar.
I dont want something that swipes from the side of the screen or similar. I just want to press a button and have the icons pop up, preferably in a predefined location, but at least not at the top of the screen
This is what simifolder looks like (as launched from home screen)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
which would be perfect, except the problem is if launched from Pie, its at the top of the screen, which is annoying.
Does anyone know of similar apps that would do this, launchable from a custom shortcut?
Did you already try out PopUp Widget?

No but it does look good... I could make a nice UCCW widget for the apps I want to launch.
Open to other ideas too.

I prefer Zooper, but I am just in the first steps with popup widget. UCCW should work, too.
