Im running evo 4g but running a 3.0 sense rom and believe the settings are the same. You go to Settings > Sound > Vibrate(vibration feedback for calls and notifications)

hi, Synergies.. ok theres a problem with this tip. after i unchecked this option, i was able to make calls without the vibrate. but after a while, i still get vibrates.. what do i do now?
First thing, go back into those settings and make sure that setting is still unchecked. If it is, try restarting your phone. If that doesnt solve it, try turning that setting on, restart your phone, then turn that setting off and restart your phone again. If it still doesnt work, check to see if theres an update for your rom and also, go into settings > system updates > and update your profile and update your prl.
Adter trying all of these options, it should work again. If not i will try to help you further.

hi Synergi4es14.. 1st thing, i tried to restart and check on/off the option but that doesnt work. i then tried to do what you suggested which is to go into 'system updates', but i cant find it. all i find is 'software updates'.
maybe theres a way to modify the build file.

There is a new version of your rom that your running, goto your rom's thread and make sure you install the latest version of it, maybe that will help fix your issue also if what we discussed before hasn't worked.
Hi, my wife has the inspire, with the original ship Rom, she never updated, she was trying to get today's free App from Amazon, but it tells her to check off the setting to allows unsigned apps, but when we go to settings where it's located, the option isn't even there to check off or not. A friend of hers has the same phone with a stock rom too but she bought the phone a lot later, and the option is there on her phone. I figured her phone might have just shipped with an updated version of the Rom, maybe the one that fixed the signal issues or even gingerbread.
Anyways, just looking for help to get the app installed. Can we just use a file explore app and drag over the app from a desktop? Or will we still get the unsigned app issue?
Thank you.
You will not be able to side load apps with out updating. Go into setting, about phone, and some where in the bottom there are two update options. The update won't wipe the phone so every thing will be as it was just the latest update.

Ok, when I tried this, it brings up the option to do the ROM update to 2.47.502.7 --> Gingerbread ROM
I need to just confirm, this Won't Delete all my wife's Pictures or info, right?
BTW anyone know where I can find the 2nd Update, the Fryo one, with the Fixed Signal...the one that came out before Gingerbread?
Thanks
[WM Rom updates use to wipe the phone...but I know android is a lot different]
If you do the OTA upgrade, the one from the phone over wifi, it does not wipe user data. Neither upgrade will touch the SD card.

If you call ATT they may still be able to push the "Unknown Sources" update to your phone without having to upgrade to gingerbread.

Don't worry, Gingerbread already fixed the signal problems.
Or use the Sideload Wonder Machine
PC and MAC/Linux versions
Hi,
I have been trying different ICS roms (MIUI, CM9) but something went wrong and now I am unable to call or send sms no matter what rom I use. I checked with MIUI, CM9, stock. Though 3g data works perfectly fine and I am able to use internet without any problem.
Please let me know if you have any idea.
Thanks a lot in advance
Have you tried changing the radio? You need to go to this place: RADIO/GUIDE, and choose the one compatible with your state and your nexus

Thanks a lot for the help
I tried changing radios as you suggested. It fixed temporarily but stopped working after 20 min so I had to revert back to stock rom. Now everything is working fine.
For some reason I can't update to 77. I tried updating while rooted didn't work then i tried going back to stock, then tried it again, no avail. I went to settings check updated, it says my version is updated already. Can anyone help me? Tried googling can't see anything about it.

By stock do you mean factory data reset? Do you have a custom recovery? If so thats why it has to be the stock recovery. Did you remove any apps?
I debloated mine using RAM tool, but let it on Stock recovery, can I still do OTA updates even after debloating?
