Do you use Windows 6.5 alarm? If so, is there a way to change the sleep time from 5 min?
What alarm do you use for your phone?
I recommend downloading the G-Alarm app. superb piece of kit

I was wanting to know if anyone has come across some alarm sofware for WM5 that fits most of this criteria:
1) One hand operation (WHY does the default alarm have acres of blank space and a tiny time selector?)
2) Lightweight (don't want to know the time in China or 15 skinnable clocks - just an alarm). Plus the ability to have a direct shortcut to the alarms setting section!!
3) Ability to turn on the volume before the alarm goes off (alarms no good if I have my phone on silent) **important!!
So hard to find good alarm software for Windows Mobile
Cheers!

i use pAlarm.
I don't know how you'll get round point 3 though
google for AlarmClock ver. 0.03
google pTravelAlarm
Very good 1 handed operation, just does alarms so it's lightweight, but it's not free.. but worth it...
I'd be using it right now but there's a bug that causes a notification error at every softreset. but other than that, it's perfect.
Apmemo is good and free.
Ptravelalarm is 3MB. ( I saw some reviewer said "this small program ...", how can 3MB alarm software is small?)

Are you sure the it's not just a 3mb installer? It does come with lots of alarm wavs which are quite large and as for the memory footprint, well, i don't remember since it's not on my device anymore...

PPC-DOC
Try googling for PocketWakeup. I think it works really well and will sound the alarm even if your phone is on silent.

Hi,
I need an Alarm Manager that can be set to different times, at different days.
Eg. Mondag 0630 and Sunday 0900. Every week.
Any suggestions?
I prefer freeware, but I really need this app so commercial is also an option.
Thanks.
I use snooze
Not the most attractive alarm app but it's free and it works.
I've been modifying the alarm clock script in previous versions of Windows Mobile by modifying Script in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Sounds/Clock. Generally, I change it so the alarm clock keeps repeating and never goes off.
In Windows Mobile 6.1, whenever i modify anything on the alarm clock page, it overwrites the script I saved there. This didn't happen in previous versions of Windows Mobile. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone have any suggestions other than using 3rd party apps?
I was also disappointed at how lame the WM6 alarm clock app is. First of all, it only lets you assign sounds in the root windows folder, secondly, it only accepts .wav files, lastly, it doesn't play the sound continuously and it seems to randomly pick how many times it will loop the sound.
It's amazing how much Microsoft CAN'T do with almost unlimited financial resources. What are those guys up in Redmond doing all day? Playing golf?
Alarm
Spoon alarm ! Try it !
what do this processes?
timewizard.exe
bluetoothmanager.exe
datakeeper.exe
siplistener.exe
alarmwatcher.exe
can i disable this processes without problems?
there are many others in background
These aren't all Default WM Processes.
Easier would be to say:
Does my phone break when i disable them?
All of these except timewizard look to be canditates to kill for regular PHone use.
without alarmwatcher, the alarm don't work?

It's not a default start up service, so it was placed by an app that i don't know or use to check the windows Alarms or something like that.
do you use 6.1? what do you keep in startup?
timewizard is necessary?
Timewizard can be kicked.
It's part of the DRM package so it should'nt be a hassle.
It't weird that this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=262476
Only has just over a thousand downloads.
You can disable and re enable start up processes on the go.
This way you can find what works and doesn't and go back to original situation.
And yes i run 6.1 i prefer it over 6.5 at the moment.
I use SPB mobile shell 3.5. Now I instaled SPB Time (original alarm is terrible). But SPB Time behaves strange.
Everything seems to be OK in this app, but I set up alarm and in right time, there was no sound, no ring! Is possible to choose one alarm without repeat or with repeat. I chose without repeat but after time, which was set up, alarm seems to repeated in another days.
It would be nice and useful app, but now, it is ****.
Has anybody some experience with SPB Time, or do you recommend me some better app for alarm?
THX
try g-alarm
Recommendation for any users of SPB Time
If you will use SPB Time and SPB mobile shell 3.5, maybe you have the same problem mentioned in this thread. You have to first install SPB Time and after then SPB mobile shell. Both apps will work correct.
Please mind your language, there is no need for swearing.
I have used both together in the past with no such bug. I'll try it tonight and see if i can replicate this on my device.
Hi,
I have installed spb shell 3.5 and spb time 3.2 both on my htc touch hd with dutty's rom 4.3 preinstalled.
Everything is working fine.
The only problem is that I don't know how to disable snooze function and also make the music file that I have selected to play to it's full length.
I will appreciate a help.
cheers
