[Fix] Google Voice search - Ability to use all new features - Android Apps and Games

Hi,
When I first installed the new Google Voice search I could only do a few actions via voice. Call, navigate to, directions and search. I couldn't do either of the send to text or email. I would say "send text peter" and it would understand what i said but just give me the option to search. I knew I had the same files as everyone else who had it all working, so it had to me something with my phone. I live in the uk so therefore have default language as English UK. Tried setting language to English US. And it worked. All voice options are now there.
So if you want to try all of the functions and don't live in the US just change your lanuage to US.
Hope that is of help.

Voice Action or Voice Dialer

Hello,
What is the best voice actions or voice dialer app for those who are not english speakers?
In my case I am looking for spanish, I dont mind saying "Call xxx" instead of "Llamar a xxx", but the the names of my spanish contacts are not recognized by google voice actions which only works in english.
I have tried Vlingo, but It is too big, I would like something more simple.
I also tried Voice Actions by Pannous, which I liked, but I only found an english version .
Any recommendations??

Google Voice Search for voice dialing my contacts

I am trying to use Google Voice Search for voice dialing. But if I say "Call Home" (**edit - home is an entry in my Contacts) it will search the internet and give me choices to call Home Depot, etc. Is there a way to use (and limit) Google Voice Search to my contacts? In fact, my contacts don't seem to be involved in the search at all.
What am I missing - Google Voice Search is used for dialing contacts isn't it? If so, I can't be the only one to have noticed this. If not - I won't be offended at being told it is a dumb question...

Do the other features of google search work such as Navigate to "insert address" ? But yeah I think it is supposed to be able to call out if I remember correctly. Is it picking up the keyword of Call ? have you tried going through your other contacts to see if it dials those correctly?
Looks like the issue is that it only looks to the Google Contacts not Phone Contacts (all the tests I made were Phone Contacts only)
I have a couple of contacts that are Phone only - I added them again as Google Contacts, then joined them with the original Phone record. Now it works (at least as well as it can). Sure do wish I could specify to search contacts only - wouldn't be so hard...
Thanks for your response - it got me digging a bit deeper.

[Q] Google Voice Commands

Just trying some basic things on Google Voice commands on my HTC One (had since launch) and i keep getting weird errors.
If i say "send text to Adam test" it does it as i want.
However if i say send text to Karla, it searches for contacts called Carla.
Same for Rachael, searches for Rachel.
However if i switch from English UK to English US they both work fine.
Also "send text to mum" just does not work on any language. She's in the phone as Mum, but it just refuses to do it. If i say to do anything with mum it just does a google search every single time.
There must be a way to change this without changing the system language or the contacts names? Saying "send text to phil" loads up a contact called Philip so it's smart enough....

I've heard that adding a pause before the name helps in this situation. In other words say, "send text to" pause for a moment, then say the name.
Doesn't make a difference. It knows im saying "send text to mum" because it does a google search for it instead.

Voice input for create reminder not working

I have had this watch for about a month now and I was able to use my voice to create a reminder, but now if I hit to create a reminder from the create reminder widget, it never stops listening. Has anyone else had this issue? I saw in another thread changing the voice input lang to English UK fixed it for some, not for me however. I wish Samsung would stop trying to reinvent things already done better elsewhere

APP: translation from speech/voice to text and vice versa for hearing impaired

Hello everyone.
I searched for a long enough application that made speech / voice for text, but I needed two tools in one as like chat - I write text and made a voice + he just spoke to write the text and look like it was in a chat in live - face to face. I found that the app is only in English and in several languages, it does not support multiple languages because they made it a private database. I want voice and text from Google because it supports the Slovak language database.
Anyone who knows which app is still in development or does it exist?
Thank you!
