[Theme] [Ports] Detox - Enomther 2.11.3 - Nexus One Themes and Apps

First off, thanks to Daneshm90 for both of his ThemePort.bat file, and his Update.bat file. Without those, this wouldn't have come to fruition. Also want to thank Ryanmo5 for his 2.10.2 port here. Also, to the originator of this theme, cubanaso here.
Now, the file is HUGE (99mb+). I have no idea how to just create an update for the theme only. Every attempt I've been making, has ended up failing on write. This will be the entire 2.11.3 build, themed already. You can just flash it on top of your current build. Sorry about that. If anyone would like to PM me on how to do this, it would be great.

Great theme. Thanks for your effort. I will give it a try.

I found quite a few problems with this ports.
- There are 2 address bars overlapping in the built-in browser when a webpage is being loaded.
- In the settings menu, the icon of Sound and Docking is not themed.
- Cannot see the carrier's name in the drop down notification area.
Anyway thanks for your great work.

Stock AOSP Style White Taskbar & Notification Menu for Fresh 2.1.2

Linked below is a MetaMorph to apply the "stock" in appearance AOSP style white taskbar & corresponding drop-down notification menu for Fresh 2.1.2+.
Please note, the fix I've created for changing the 'clear' button from black to white required an edit to the services.jar framework file. So, the services.jar file is "stock", with the exception of the 'clear' button fix & change of the clock font color from white to black.
What this means is if you are running any sort of mod for removing the battery, clock, or both from your taskbar, they will return with this mod, as these elements are also controlled in the same services.jar file. After applying this AOSP via MetaMorph successfully, you can then flash, via recovery, whichever option you prefer, at the end of this post, for subsequently removing the time, battery, or both, from your taskbar.
MetaMorph tends to have trouble applying changes to multiple framework files in a single morph, which this mod includes, and as such, applying the MetaMorph may require multiple tries. If your phone freezes / reboots when attempting to apply the final step, it may come back up with only some of the mod/theme applied (you'll still see the black taskbar). If this is the case, apply the MetaMorph again, this time, only selecting the final sub-theme, 'framework-res.apk'.
XML MetaMorph Control File <--- Apply using the latest MetaMorph Application
THM MetaMorph Control File <--- Apply using any older MetaMorph Application
As usual, your initial boot will take some time as your cache is rebuilt. Always NANDROID & reboot after applying.

For those that saw this post/downloaded earlier, when it was originally just the notification menu, I wanted to let you know that I modified the OP to include BOTH the AOSP style notification menu AND taskbar.
As I began working on the taskbar, I realized it would be much easier and make more sense to combine them, due to the number of common files and framework dependencies between them. And honestly, would you really run one without the other ?

Thanks for the "morph"! I applied it then applied your no battery and clock mod and everything looks great. Just want to give some screen shots of the finished product.
The only two things that don't match up after applying the mod after the morph that I could find was the notification screens clear button (it reverted back to black) and the large in call notification icon (I think you modified that icon in another of your mods). I'm looking forward to your future MODs.
Looking good. Yes, as mentioned in the OP, the clock/battery mods are in direct conflict with the 'clear' button mod, as they are controlled in the same services.jar file.
Thus, to have all of them at the same time, I would need to combine them into a single mod, explicitly for the AOSP theme. I plan on doing this, there are just a number of derivatives / combinations that need to be made.
Stay tuned...
As far as the 'in call' status icon, this shouldn't be affected, as it should be controlled in the Phone.apk, which is not involved here, but I'll take a look to see what is going on.
Thanks.
I definitely will! BTW are there any plans on making a black version of this mod? If not, could you point me in the right direction to a tutorial on how to do it?
**EDIT**
Either through Metamorph or by making an update zip.
Yo, I PM'd you...just thought i'd let you know since you get so many noobs with stupid questions PM'ing you.
JsChiSurf,
I went through your morph and inverted all of the colors on the icons, renamed the .xml file (I get an error message but I can still aplly the theme). The icons look exactly how I wanted them to but I don't know where to go to change the color of the text in the notification bar or menu. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey does this require the 'older' version of metamorph? I'm trying to get this app and theme working, but I just don't really know what to do to apply it. I go into the app and then select apply existing theme then I get some sort of file browser. After that I go in and select random xml files but it just returned errors. Thanks!

He attached a file for the new version of Metamorph (.xml) and the old version (.thm) If you just downloaded it (Metamorph) from the Market it SHOULD be the version that requires the .xml file.
Steps
1. Place the .zip in the AndroidThemes folder on your SD card
2. Launch Metamorph (Start the checks)
3. Select Unzip/Extract theme
4. Select the zip (Wait a few seconds)
5. Select Apply all!
As stated in the original post

thanks very much! I'm pretty good with update.zip files, but this whole metamorph idea is pretty new to me. I think I downloaded an AOSP white taskbar from some other post on this board. whatever. I'm flashing now and I'll edit here with my results.
again, thanks very much

No problem.
whoops got vanilla battery, vanilla 3G icon, vanilla (black) clock, vanilla location indicator, yet still a black taskbar and white vibrate indicator. I know this was mentioned in a post above so I'll just go ahead and re-apply it
yep spoke too soon. just reapplied the theme and it worked beautifully. woohoo!

Thank you for this, that's all.
I assume that the site is down. Right after I upgraded. Darn.
I did this last night, its awesome! Anyway to get the signal bars to 6 instead of 4? If not no big deal I love it!
FYI, the OP has been updated with flashable zips for removing the time, battery, or both from your taskbar if desired.

darkstar style screen transitions

the evo didn't really have any special screen transitions when i was using fresh .3, and compared to what i had when i was using the hero, it was a little bland. i had a few spare minutes today so i downloaded the darkstar theme at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589409 (which is, by the way, a really cool theme) and just ported over the transitions. there was a darkstar theme that was ported to the hero but i don't have the time to port the entire theme. i just thought that the next best thing was to do the transitions
so here it is. it's all just eye candy. changes to what you get on the evo right now?
- clicking menu has the menu screen fade in
- transitions in apps like facebook, twitter, settings, etc. has your windows fly up and the new window fly down
- other things that are really cool
give it a try. make sure you back up your framework-res.apk though, or just take it from a rom.
just push the framework-res.apk to /system/framework. code for this:
Code:
adb remount
adb push <directory where you downloaded the apk to> /system/framework
credits are, of course, the people who made the darkstar theme. i just transferred files to an apk.
hope you like it!
edit: i just realized i posted this in the wrong section. if a mod could please move this to the themes/apps section please?
it worked but something strange happened i had to reenter my account gmail facebook twitter ... and it kinda messed my lock screen a tad
Hmm... I didn't have any problems with entering my account info, but I just noticed the locksceen thing. The partially transparent rectangle right? Weird... I honestly don't know what would cause that. I didn't even see it though.
So i have Aloysiu's rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=702361) which is based off of fresh .03 you think there might be any problems if i flash this?
Any way to do this via terminal?

Call Button

I was able to port the kevlar mash made by droidkevlar in the Eris forums. It looks amazing on the Incredible. Now what I'm trying to do is to change the call button from green to blue. I did this once before on the eris by replacing the phone_call_rest,phone_call_selected,and Phone_call_rest.pngs in the framework-res.apk. I tried this on the Inc and it was a nogo. the other files used from the theme worked just fine the way they were. If I can get this all done I will put together the full theme, with permission by the original creator that is. But I tell you it looks amazing already. One more thing, does anyone know how to change the theme from green to blue regarding the highlites and progress bar?
Well I've got permission, now I just need to finish. Anyone? Progress Bar? Color? Anyone?
Oh, and if anyone knows of or can make a espresso rosie that doesnt show the original rosie behind it. And that is fully functional that would be great.
The only thing anyone can say is to read, I'm not trying to be mean or anything of that nature, its just too much info to try and explain, you really have to do it by trial and error. This is what I was told when I was first getting into the swing of things, you will be a pro in no time. in the mean time here is my first them i put together, your more than welcome to depict it and see what I did and change what you'd like. and your looking for blue, and this theme just happens to be called "doblue" so I hope this is of any interest to you.
here is the theme

[THEME]Plastic Tux for CM6 Final[UPDATED 9/29/10]

Update:
This theme isn't to popular but I promised some people a cm6 final version, so here it is.
Ok so this theme is an old theme I ported over from 1.6, I had noticed a lack of lighter themes around here and I know everyones a fan of Tux. I themed most of the icons that had the Droid in them and replaced them with some Tux icons. If there are some others icons with the droid face that I missed and you want them changed I'll try and hook that up.
Special thanks to (updated):
Nebrada for the great plastic theme(http://forum.xdadevelopers.com/showthread.php?t=562283)
Iktose for the Aeon Blue stat icons.
damiandarkwater for the great input.
And of course Darch and Cyanogen for the 2.2 our Heros!
Directions:
1. place in the root of your sd card.
2. nandroid.
3. wipe dalvik cash.
3. flash zip.
4. reboot and enjoy.
Warning:
1. Don't flash this over the nightly or any other roms other than CM-6.
2. I am not responsible for your fried rom, FC's, slowness ..... etc !Nandroid!.

I would most certainly love to make a splash screen. I thought about changing the start splash but Cyanogen and the teamwork so hard I didn't want to take anything away from them.
I work on the splash screen.
I to love any thing tux related.

I was being lazy and trying to take the easy way out. I hate when you goto those download pages and the intentionally make it hard to figure out where the real freaking d/l link is.
GJ on the theme man .... its good to see alot of new themes popping up lately.
Same tux being the Linux mascot was just another reason for me to love Linux. I flashed this on top of Steel my Elegance and all is well I dig this.

so I made a .rar and changed the ext to .zip but did it manually try it now, or use win rar on the original.
Nice work, those icons are great! love the splash screen!
The android is still on the market app. If you could put Tux on the planet for the browser or something and have him popping out of the envelope for the gmail icon that would be mucho cool
just an idea though.
Do I just flash the splash?

The splash needs to be booted through fastboot and you'll need a eng spl. There's a good post just above mine on how to do it.
I didn't do the market cause of it being part of the google apps but I'll work on that one (the icon style makes in hard to alter since I don't have the layers). Consider the others done I'll post them tomorrow.
Sweet beans
And makes sense.
Very cool working with feed back and all.

¤¤ [Theme] Smooth Red v1.2 [10/30] [MIUI 0.10.29] ¤¤ [READ OP]

NOTICE: This thread will no longer be updated! To get the latest updates, visit the new thread here!
This is a custom theme I made for the MIUI ROM. I'm in no way a fan of the stock orange colors Android chooses to use, so I did some work of my own.
Please do not repost (or port & upload) my work without permission; do not claim any of my work as your own; I've put a lot of time into making this what it is today. Before doing anything questionable, ask yourself how you would feel if someone took credit for your work. Thanks for understanding.
¤Changes:
- Almost all orange changed to red, including highlight text.
- Completely custom, visually appealing UI.
- White pulldown menu rather than the off-white standard.
- Themed system apps.
¤ If you have any suggestions or improvements, please let me know! Any input is appreciated.
This was built to work on HTC Incredible and Desire. If you want a port, request one. May work on Evo 4G.
¤Download:
•v1.2 - Minor tweaks, rebuilt using 0.10.29 English source.
http://bit.ly/9WvcWC
Screenshots:
I'll post some when I get around to it.
¤¤¤ As a way of saying thank you, it would be a big help if you guys would use my Dropbox Referral Link to make an account [real or fake] so I can keep hosting files for the community; it's filling up rather quickly! ¤¤¤
Enjoy!

Liking it so far! I noticed that the top bar of the sms app is still green, though.
Question: How do I go about installing the themed LP? I already have LP installed, and don't have the option of uninstalling it in the app manager. It only allows me to uninstall updates. I tried to use root explorer to delete the LauncherPro.apk from system/app and then replace it with the one you provided, but that didn't work.
will this work with 9.30
I guess red won out thanks for doing all these MIUI themes!!
As it well should have.
I'm seriously tempted to overhaul everything now and flash this theme.

I don't have time right now, as I don't even use my red theme. I use NuBlu- it matches everything perfectly. I may end up dropping support for this one, not sure. It looks pretty much the same as the NuBlu & Smooth Green screenshots, just darkish red instead of green or blue.
I'm using the Red version, as I like red/black more than blue/green and black. Please don't drop support for this. I'd love to have everything themed for red eventually...
Thread moved here. Please follow that thread for comments and the latest updates!
Update: Builds for 0.11.05 have been posted for Incredible and Evo in the new thread!
