Stock AOSP Style White Taskbar & Notification Menu for Fresh 2.1.2 - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

Linked below is a MetaMorph to apply the "stock" in appearance AOSP style white taskbar & corresponding drop-down notification menu for Fresh 2.1.2+.
Please note, the fix I've created for changing the 'clear' button from black to white required an edit to the services.jar framework file. So, the services.jar file is "stock", with the exception of the 'clear' button fix & change of the clock font color from white to black.
What this means is if you are running any sort of mod for removing the battery, clock, or both from your taskbar, they will return with this mod, as these elements are also controlled in the same services.jar file. After applying this AOSP via MetaMorph successfully, you can then flash, via recovery, whichever option you prefer, at the end of this post, for subsequently removing the time, battery, or both, from your taskbar.
MetaMorph tends to have trouble applying changes to multiple framework files in a single morph, which this mod includes, and as such, applying the MetaMorph may require multiple tries. If your phone freezes / reboots when attempting to apply the final step, it may come back up with only some of the mod/theme applied (you'll still see the black taskbar). If this is the case, apply the MetaMorph again, this time, only selecting the final sub-theme, 'framework-res.apk'.
XML MetaMorph Control File <--- Apply using the latest MetaMorph Application
THM MetaMorph Control File <--- Apply using any older MetaMorph Application
As usual, your initial boot will take some time as your cache is rebuilt. Always NANDROID & reboot after applying.

For those that saw this post/downloaded earlier, when it was originally just the notification menu, I wanted to let you know that I modified the OP to include BOTH the AOSP style notification menu AND taskbar.
As I began working on the taskbar, I realized it would be much easier and make more sense to combine them, due to the number of common files and framework dependencies between them. And honestly, would you really run one without the other ?

Thanks for the "morph"! I applied it then applied your no battery and clock mod and everything looks great. Just want to give some screen shots of the finished product.
The only two things that don't match up after applying the mod after the morph that I could find was the notification screens clear button (it reverted back to black) and the large in call notification icon (I think you modified that icon in another of your mods). I'm looking forward to your future MODs.

Looking good. Yes, as mentioned in the OP, the clock/battery mods are in direct conflict with the 'clear' button mod, as they are controlled in the same services.jar file.
Thus, to have all of them at the same time, I would need to combine them into a single mod, explicitly for the AOSP theme. I plan on doing this, there are just a number of derivatives / combinations that need to be made.
Stay tuned...
As far as the 'in call' status icon, this shouldn't be affected, as it should be controlled in the Phone.apk, which is not involved here, but I'll take a look to see what is going on.
Thanks.

I definitely will! BTW are there any plans on making a black version of this mod? If not, could you point me in the right direction to a tutorial on how to do it?
**EDIT**
Either through Metamorph or by making an update zip.

Yo, I PM'd you...just thought i'd let you know since you get so many noobs with stupid questions PM'ing you.

JsChiSurf,
I went through your morph and inverted all of the colors on the icons, renamed the .xml file (I get an error message but I can still aplly the theme). The icons look exactly how I wanted them to but I don't know where to go to change the color of the text in the notification bar or menu. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks man, PM sent!

Hey does this require the 'older' version of metamorph? I'm trying to get this app and theme working, but I just don't really know what to do to apply it. I go into the app and then select apply existing theme then I get some sort of file browser. After that I go in and select random xml files but it just returned errors. Thanks!

He attached a file for the new version of Metamorph (.xml) and the old version (.thm) If you just downloaded it (Metamorph) from the Market it SHOULD be the version that requires the .xml file.
Steps
1. Place the .zip in the AndroidThemes folder on your SD card
2. Launch Metamorph (Start the checks)
3. Select Unzip/Extract theme
4. Select the zip (Wait a few seconds)
5. Select Apply all!
As stated in the original post

thanks very much! I'm pretty good with update.zip files, but this whole metamorph idea is pretty new to me. I think I downloaded an AOSP white taskbar from some other post on this board. whatever. I'm flashing now and I'll edit here with my results.
again, thanks very much

No problem.

whoops got vanilla battery, vanilla 3G icon, vanilla (black) clock, vanilla location indicator, yet still a black taskbar and white vibrate indicator. I know this was mentioned in a post above so I'll just go ahead and re-apply it
yep spoke too soon. just reapplied the theme and it worked beautifully. woohoo!

Thank you for this, that's all.

I assume that the site is down. Right after I upgraded. Darn.

I did this last night, its awesome! Anyway to get the signal bars to 6 instead of 4? If not no big deal I love it!

FYI, the OP has been updated with flashable zips for removing the time, battery, or both from your taskbar if desired.

Special thx to Damage and his unnamed leak for the official 2.1 release! VVM was business-necessary for me (ability to forward voicemails).
This is a Port of Ratcom's GSM version; all credit goes to him. Those interested in theme development, look up Ratcom and check his sig.
(3-28-10) Rosie no longer includes buttons; instead they're located under Framework in com.htc.resources.apk. So editing Rosie requires you to update both these APKs. Therefore they're both in the ZIP, which makes for a big file.

This is the theme I personally use and plan to keep it up-to-date for as long as Flipz wants to pump out updates.
I do have a day job though
Can you try to port over a smaller home like in the beautiful home app(4x1 instead of 4x2)
sweet, thanks a million.
quick question, did this change?
You're referring to this:
Copied from this post in the GSM themes:
adb remount
adb shell
su
rm -R system/etc/lockscreen/port
Whatever lockscreen you have will now show directly on top of your home screen.

installed fresh 1 and i still have the wallpaper i set for the background, installed the clear theme as well. tried this command and it keeps saying file or directory doesn't exist.
just sucks that the clear notify makes you lose the new task bar and puts the old one back on.
I don't understand the point of the clear lock screen included here since Flip put out lock removal patch. I'm not complaining, just curious of the difference. And since the lock screen is totally transparent with Fresh 1.0 + delock, is there a way to remove the clock from the lock screen since a lot of people use the HTC Clock widget anyway?
I'm using the keyboard, widgets and buttons. I really like how just the word Phone and just the visible parts of the other two buttons light up now, that's a really nice touch. I'd use the clear notification but I like the new taskbar icons, if there's a way to get both the clear notification pane and the new icons I'd use it. Again, I love your work!
Amazing JOB!! Really love it. Thank you a lot for this!!

I've tried to split everything out as much as possible, but with ZIP updates, you update the entire APK, not bits and pieces. In this case, both the notifications and taskbar graphics are located in the same APK (framework-res). So it's all or nothing.
All Clear downloads are labeled with the APK it replaces to help the community know what it is the ZIP is actually changing.
I haven't even looked for it yet, but I'm guessing Tsowen's taskbar is a GSM theme that Flipz started to port over. I also know Flipz needs a break and mentioned something about working in the kitchen. If it is a port, I don't mind looking at it, but it would have to wait 'till next week, as things get BUSY starting today.

The difference: this is for those who have DE-Freshed. This lockscreen offers a separate lockscreen wallpaper that has no arc or other graphics on it, just your wireless carrier and the time. You don't see your homescreen or HTC Clock widget at all.
As for removing the clock, well, I have the habit of giving out almost-truths Then Flipz yells at me and sets everyone straight. I'll try to explain with what I think I currently know, and then the pros will (hopefully) come by and tell you how it really works.
Visuals are controlled by binary XML files within an APK. You can't just open and edit them, they're not regular XML. There's a java "printer" that will convert them to TXT so that they can be edited, but there's no known way to re-package them again. Unless you're editing source code not to look for certain files, you can't just delete XML files either.
What that means for us - Removing the clock would be a specific feature a ROM cooker would have to change the source code for. That's waaaay past what a simple graphics hobby jockey like myself is capable of

Glad you like it! The original Clear-button Rosie was a quick hack-job to remove the "at rest" buttons. I think these hold true to the theme much better.

Flipz corrected me when I quoted that from the GSM theme forum. There's a backup wallpaper as well, so to "remove" your lock screen to view the homescreen beneath takes a bit more work.
As per my OP, I would like to look into this, as there seem to be enough people interested. Ideally there would be a ZIP update package that modifies things to the point that you'd be able to flash Evil's lockscreen (or whatever) and still see your homescreen beneath. I'd like to think this is possible, but that requires time to play around

OK, that's cool. I'd actually been wanting to wipe my phone and start from scratch so I went ahead and ruu'd back and started over. Installed fresh 1 and your clears and got the clear, no background lockscreen.
Thanks for your work.
hmm... just wondering...
but what happened to the cool selection icon/picture?
like, when you scroll over something or select a program, in regular android it was a green square/rectangle.
but in the last clear theme for fresh .7, it was like, a fading circle
did you take that out? :O
oh, and btw, i LOVE this theme. thanks sooo much for putting it on fresh 1.0 so fast!
I'm not sure who to ask this but somewhere between running .6 fresh and .7 clears, and the 1 fresh with 1 clears, I lost a screen animation.
I was running .6 fresh with the original ratcom's clears and the other optimization pack, then when the .7 clears were made, i put that on and afterwards I had an animation where it instead of "flashing" between screens, it would "go into" the screen. After flashing the fresh 1 and the new clears, the animation is gone. But what little I know about the themes, I wouldn't think they would have any effect on the animations, that should be in the rom, correct? But it's weird that they didn't change until I put the .7 clears over the .6 fresh rom.
Edit: nevermind, I figured it out, the transition animation speed was turned off.

do you think you could repackage that in? i really liked it, it was a nice additional touch that really blended in with the theme and it looked good too.
thanks for all your work!
I'm sorry if this has been answered already:
Fresh 1.0, used the clear lock .zip and thought it was totally cool. I was playing with using a lock paper again and thought I could just run the .zip again to remove a lockscreen paper but it didn't work, my last lockscreen image is still there. There is not a "lockscreen" folder in /system/etc/
Any advice on how I can get back to having an invisible lockscreen image?
Thanks
*edit - again, I'm sorry if this has been covered. I just tried running delock_1.0.zip again with no result. I am guessing the invisible lock screen is part of fresh itself...
*edit #2 - I just reread this thread and realized how unobservant I am. A week ago I had zero exposure to Android, my head hurts from learning so much in such a short time. Thank you all for your work and patience with the noobs. I think its time I go hit a few "donate" buttons...
There's a few issues on the Fresh 1.0 topic that reference this, and Flipz posted about it directly. It appears that if you had your own wallpaper, it caches it away someplace. Flipz plans on addressing it in the future.
I was hoping to look at the lockscreen stuff but haven't had the time yet. 'Tis the season for a bazillion things going on.

You're not kidding! This may sound a little over dramatic but my perception of Android so far is it's revolutionary. I am absolutely amazed by what these devices are capable of.
Thanks again guys!
How do you install these? I just rooted and installed Fresh on my Hero, but not sure how to install these themes. Do I boot into recovery and apply from SD card?
Yup, just like a ROM. Save the ZIP on your sdcard, then boot to recovery: "Choose ZIP" and confirm.
I don't think we've had any issues with 1.0, but it should go without saying to do your Nandroid backups first!

Step TWO
Go to your phone in active sync and go into StorageCard/_CHTScheduler
Drop in the Folder from the .zip called "CHTSLayout_cubism 2"
http://www.brittondelizia.com/josh/CHTSLayout_cubism 2.rar
______________________________________________________________
Step THREE
Soft reset then click the windows button and go to CHT_Switch and click on "Cubism 2" load cubism.
_____________________________________________________________
Step FOUR
Assuming you have JWMD Icon Changer (if not get it) and replace
solitare
Windows Media
Reset
Shake to Save
File Explorer
Camera
Opera
Bing
Youtube
Google Maps
With BlankIcon.png
___________________________________________________________
Step FIVE
Install Dic3ptors Green Slider
Tacchan23s Dusk Green Taskbar
then
DotSlider
In that order
Soft reset and i think thats it..
The only other thing you might have to do is reload the wallpapers.. not sure why.. but if so.. its prett simple just add the wallpaper as an HQ 1400x800 wallpaper (its in the file) and Skin the Soft and Taskbar..
Let me know how it works out.. in the mean time ill be trying to make it more automated.
Save

As soon as i know the green works ill start uploading the rest.. im trying to eliminate some steps.. i think the issue is on MY phone when i save it and then re install it.. its pulling the files automatically from where they WERE not from where they are in the zip.. so when i save the theme i have to figure out how to point it at the correct NEW file locations. If i can do this i should be able to get it down to one step i hope.
Ok, I,m almost there! The main stuff is up and running but I just need to clarify a few things:
1. I don't have some of the apps linked to by the cube icons. Is there a way to link some of those icons to other apps ie the Mario & Luigi pic to maybe Morphgear (SNES emulator) etc....
2. Installed the Green Digi clock but I can't select it from the editor.
I'll keep adding any other problems I have to this post as they come up...
the clock should pop up automatically if you have it in stalled.. if not.. add a widget and digital clock should be the next to last thing from the bottom.
The mario brothers are just linked to solitaire.. i figured after we got it all running id describe how to delete and add links to whatever you want.. but i wanted it all running first.. but yea.. for now mario should just link to solitaire.
EDIT
Ill go ahead and post it now.. but lets not get ahead of ourselves.. to swap out icons.. just go to home edit.. and double click/hold down a sec.. where the icon SHOULD be.. then click remove.
Then just add a new free link and place it on top of the picture you want to activate it with.. click on remove lables.. then go back to JWMD Icon editor and replace the icon of the new thing you placed there... i.e. morph gear.. and replace the stock icon with the blank icon file.
Clear cache / soft reset ect.. and now your new icon will be there instead of the original (same clickable pic thoug)
When you add digital clock if its not my version i know why.. i placed .png files in the cab instead of _manilla
Im used to building on brute force not using soft install (cab files) so there is a little learnign curve here for me to make it easy to install/uninstall to everyone

Im used to building on brute force not using soft install (cab files) so there is a little learnign curve here for me to make it easy to install/uninstall to everyone

No problem,
You've got my phone looking futuristic and I love it! I feel like Tron lol.... Nah almost there, just few little glitches like the digi clock and swapping out a few icons and it'll be complete. Fantastic work, you're a star!

I think im gonna do all the colors tacchan and dusk both have theres done in.
Make sure oyu post pics here as soon as you lock it down.. im stoked to see the first clone!!

What is the max resolution on CHT 2.0 on your phone? we have 1400x800 so im not sure what the cut off is on yours.
The concept is the same.. as long as the icons arent up too high.. worst case.. you can be a hero and let us know .. and if it doesnt.. a hard reset will bring you back to zero.
In sure all the vga guys would be appreciative.

Yeah, just doing like you said and removing unneeded links and replacing them. It's all working as planned, I'd love that green digi clock though so let me know if I've done something wrong. I used the one in your folder and the one from the link you posted and neither show up in the editor. I'll post some screenies once I'm up and running. Good job!

As far as vga goes.. the only problem i can see is either icons being too hight to click.. or mapping being top down.. which would make them too low to click.. either way.. i might be able to fix it.. so let me know if its perfect and if not what problems it has so i can fix it now for future themes.. thanks for being the guinee pig

[MOD] Custom Black HTC Dialer & Phone w/ability to set custom font (new colors added)

[MOD] Custom Black HTC Dialer & Phone w/ability to set custom font (new colors added)
I originally set out to recreate the black HTC Dialer I had running on my Hero, for my EVO, as I really liked the look (see thread here). Note, this is based off of Fresh 3.3.0.1.
EDIT: See this post for additional font/button color options AFTER reading the instructions for how to apply referenced below.
EDIT 2: 10/28/2010: Modified ALL linked files in this thread to also include the "in call" keypad which is part of Phone.apk. If you've already applied, just re-download both files and re-apply. I realized after initially publishing this mod that I forgot to include the in call keypad as well.
As many of you may know, HTC changed the dialer pretty significantly with 2.2, making it a little more difficult to theme / change up the dialer. Most notably, the number buttons are no longer images, but rather, background images for the actual buttons, with actual font / text overlaying the button. However, since the numbers and letters are now actual fonts, rather than images, we can use this to our advantage for greater customization (keep reading).
So, in ripping apart the 2.2 HtcDialer, I was able to modify code and XML to get the dialer to a point where it looks pretty darn similar to the black dialer I was running previously, including moving the letters and numbers up to the same line (stock is vertical, numbers on top of letters), adjust spacing, font colors, font sizes, etc.
Following is a screen capture comparing the previous stock dialer for 2.2, to the black dialer MOD attached to this thread:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, what makes this mod even cooler is that I was able to hack in the ability to allow the user (you), to specify your own custom font to use exclusively for the dialer, without affecting any other system level fonts, etc. The default font I am specifying in this mod is the SAME as the default / original system font, or DroidSans.ttf.
The way this works, however, is, when you flash the provided zip below, in the first step, it will apply the modified HtcDialer.apk, Phone.apk, AND install a font named 'dialer.ttf' in your /system/fonts folder. Again, this default font, named 'dialer.ttf' is just the DroidSans.ttf copied to dialer.ttf.
So, should you want to use a different font for your dialer ONLY, simply grab a font you like (see here), rename it to 'dialer.ttf', and push it to your /system/fonts/ folder on your phone.
EDIT: Here are detailed instructions for using a font from the nice fonts thread linked above:
1. After downloading the specific font pack, open the zip file, navigate to /system/fonts/, and extract the font named 'DroidSans.ttf'.
2. Rename the 'DroidSans.ttf' file you just extracted to 'dialer.ttf'
3. Use 'adb' to push to file to your phone (assuming the dialer.ttf file is in the same folder where you are running the adb commands):
Code:
adb remount
adb push dialer.ttf /system/fonts/
adb reboot
Once your phone comes up, your new font should appear in your dialer.
Alternately, if you use Root Explorer, drop the dialer.ttf on your sdcard, navigate to it using root explorer, long press to copy to your clipboard, navigate to your /system/fonts/ folder, click 'Mount r/w', and paste.
Here is an example of me replacing the 'dialer.ttf' font, on the fly, for a few others, just to show you how it works (note: a reboot is required after changing a font):
Cool, huh?
It is imperative when using this mod to NEVER remove the 'dialer.ttf' file that gets placed in the /system/fonts/ folder, as the apk is expecting this file to be present.
Now, applying this mod is a 2 step process. First, you MUST flash the update zip, which installs the 'dialer.ttf' font AND the newly modified HtcDialer.apk and Phone.apk.
Download HTC Dialer & Font <---Flash via recovery.
After flashing the above via recovery, when your phone comes up, the mod is only half applied, so do not panic if you view your dialer. You must now applying the MetaMorph file, which swaps out the applicable graphics in your 'com.htc.resources.apk' framework. This has to be a MetaMorph to prevent changing any other themes / mods you may already have in place.
Download com.htc.resources MetaMorph for black dialer <---Apply using MetaMorph.
When applying using MetaMorph, you phone will force close on a bunch of apps, LET IT FINISH. Once the phone appears to freeze, you can issue a reboot via adb, pull the battery, etc. Whatever it takes to reboot. Again though, let the MetaMorph finish. Also, since you are MM'ing a framework file, you may need to re-login to your various sync accounts, etc. You may loose your sync data as a result of replacing a framework file while running.
NOTE: if your phone did NOT freeze when applying the MetaMorph, ironically, it probably didn't work and you'll want to try again. MetaMorph does not always succeed when trying to apply changes, live, to a framework file.
Finally, play with different fonts. Some will work well, other won't, as there is variability in font size, spacing, padding, etc, and some will not fit correctly in the space allocated on the buttons.
Note: If after applying any of the mods, if you wish to also change the top and bottom header/footer bars on the dialer and keypad to black, use the MetaMorph provided here.
very nice i try it rigth now

Just checked it, and it appears to be right to me. Did you have a problem applying?
Didn't work for me either. Changed the look if the numbers and took out the voicemail picture just like the black dialer, but the rest is the same. If the apk is modified, is it possible to extract it and install it instead of flashing the package?

What do you me "me either"? Did this not work for anyone else yet?
Did you run the MetaMorph and let if finish all the way through all the force closes? Sounds to me like it got partially applied, but the second half, in the MetaMorph did not.
The morph came up as no icon text... i applied anyways and didn't work

No idea what you are talking about here
I just downloaded the zip and the morph, restored to an old nandroid, flashed the zip, then applied the morph, worked as intended.
Again, let the morph sit a while, even check your logcat to see when things settle down / stop, then reboot, you should be good to go.
But, "no icon text"? Sounds to me like you are confusing which MetaMorph on your SD card to apply, as this is another MM I did in the past...
Ill try again, I probably did something wrong. Lol. So flash, reboot, then apply the mm?

You got it. If your phone doesn't freeze after applying the MM, be sure to reboot after that as well. Let me know. And again, be sure to wait for the MM to complete all the way through. When in doubt, wait longer .
NOTE: I just did the MM for a third time, and this time I received no FC's at all, and it appeared to finish w/o incident, and it didn't apply! So, moral of the story, MM is having a bit of trouble applying a framework update. If you don't get force closes, it probably DIDN'T work, and you should reboot and try again until it takes affect.
Unfortunately, MM is really the only way to go, but for those who want to finish the second step manually, pop open the MM, and grab the files out of the '/res/drawable-hdpi' folder, and drop them into your current. com.htc.resources.apk file and you will be good to go.
Be sure to still do step 1 first, to flash the font and dialer, followed by either the MM or manual pull / push.
Trust me, I think you'll see that it is worth it. It is really fun grabbing various fonts from the nice font thread in this section, and pushing them to /system/fonts/dialer.ttf, and seeing how it looks, w/o impacting the rest of your phone's appearance.
Im lost. I flashed tge zip but have no blac background for tge dialer

Yikes, why quote the whole OP?
Did you read the whole OP / follow the instructions fully? The black background, and other changes are applied in the second step using the MetaMorph file and application, as these changes are being made to com.htc.resources, as opposed to directly in the dialer apk.
The OP goes as far as to state not to panic after step one, as you won't yet see the black background and other changes until you complete the second step using MetaMorph.

[UPD 27th Jan] [THEMES]**[6 CHTS Layouts]**[Boot Package]** NIN "The Slip"

First, the disclaimer...........
There shouldnt be any serious consequences to this.......however....
If something does go wrong you can restore your CHTS baseline/old layout and all will be well ........
As always you do this at your own risk...............
I strongly advise that you have a reliable baseline and save your current layout before messing about with anything............

For help, advice and encouragement.
Pakure, for his veryhelpful feedback regarding these layouts.
And of course Co0kiemonster, mike2nl, micheldiamond and everyone else behind the CHT Suite.
There are two ways to add this layout to your device......
CAB install MUST BE INSTALLED TO SD CARD
This will create a folder called "wallpapers" at the root of your SD card.
If you already have a folder with that name the walls will be added there.
When you change layout the walls will automatically change (hopefully )....
"Drag n Drop Method"
1 - Extract the zip file and place the folder inside on your SD card in the folder " _CHTScheduler".
2 - Create a folder at the root of your SD card called "wallpapers" and place the orange street walls in that folder
3 - Switch to the layout via CHTSwitchGui.........
IMPORTANT
For users with Non-English ROMS
Please note: The cab will only work on a WWE ROM due to the installation path....
If you would like to install on a non english ROM then please follow the "drag n drop" instructions above
or let me know the language you need it for and I will try to create one for your language........
Please Note - Previous modifications to your email/sms widgets will persist after installing this layout. You will also need to skin the taskbar/softkeybar via CHTWall.....
With that out of the way I present to you the first of my layouts for CHTScheduler.......Orange Street........
This is of course just a slimmed down CHTS version of the Orange Street theme by M0bmentality and myself,
the thread for the full theme can be found here

Download The Zip
Download Much Better CHT Toggle Switches
Same rules as above.......
Fixed LS Clock......
Added Black and White M9 files for email tab......
Download The Cab
Download The Zip
Download Email/SMS Widget Skin
Download Mail Text Colour M9's
Some blue (and black)
Can provide a cab to change the RSS feed text to blue but it will persist after switching layouts so I just left it out.......

Got Wood?
Thanks to santod040 for the very nice wallpaper

No cab for this one, couldnt get it working. Seemed to crash sense.
Zip works fine though, copy the folder inside to "Storage Card\_CHTScheduler" as usual, use the walls if you want.
Enjoy.

I missed GTX so I decided to go all white........

Boot Screens Etc.........
Thanks to MadrauM and his awesome boot package I was inspired to make one of my own.
Figured I'd just post it here instead of spamming up the forum with another thread. If anyone has any requests for boot screens etc I'll try and find time to make them for you.
Thanks also to samsamuel for his tutorial on splash screens
First splash (where the RGD info shows)
Boot Animation
Welcomehead
To Install
The first splash has to be flashed to the device; follow these steps
1 - Unzip handdrawnsplash.bmp.rar to a folder on your desktop
2 - Connect you phone via activesync
3 - Run the CustomRuu that was in the zip
4 - Follow the on screen instructions
Dont worry no data wil be deleted from your device
The boot animation should be placed in your windows folder on device memory.
Rename to either "animated" or "LEO_animated"
(depends on device, check your windows folder to see which one you already have there)
The welcomehead is the same.
May need to be named either "welcomehead192" or "well"

yes, looks great, good email (blue) coloured widget, but an orange one would have been even nicer,
.......noticed that all previous quicklinks are gone, no overlapping from my original layout
.......the white wallpaper in tabs makes the text in mails, messages and calender unreadable (i havent changed the colour/ font of text yet)
.......yes, you mapped the cht soft keys perfect with the first one for home, instead of the middle default one
......all in all, a great step forward for chts layouts...success!!
now going for icons to match...i know, i can catch some from your original thread....but is there a way, we can also save icons to layouts, because you need to keep changing them back and forth to match with layouts, may be will see jmwd icon manager...remember seeing some option to save something...will post back
have a "wallpapers" folder already on sd card, but a new one was created with your walls
got a blue circular analog clock...not the square orange one from your screenshots (solved: orange one is the main clock)
didnot yet get the lockscreen...mmm, do i need to soft reset?.(solved: sorry, my bad........disabled cht lockscreen )..

ahhh ok, looks like I forgot a few things.....
blue clock and mail/sms widget is a leftover from another layout of mine because I didnt skin it for this one.... will post a fix for that in a short while...
the square analog clock is the standard sense analogue not the cht widget.
unreadable text because of the white wallpaper is because I keep my text black all the time......
About the wallpaper folder, im not sure why that happened, it didnt in my test. Will investigate the cab.....
Thankyou very much for the feedback, very helpful.....
will post files to get rid of the nasty clock and blue widgets soon.....
There is currently no way to save icons through CHTS but JWMD icon chsanger has the options to save an icon theme and switch between them quickly...
Thanks again

Dark Status Bar Theme+ v0.9.2 for Bandroidx's ROM [Updated 6-13-11]

Get bandroidx's ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13522284
Both of those should be flashed in cwm recovery. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but I advise wiping cache and dalvik cache when you flash these. These are only for bandroidx's ROM, don't try and use these on the stock ROM, they will mess a lot of thing's up. Also, it couldn't hurt to backup /system/framework/framework-res.apk and /system/framework/services.jar before flashing either of these. Either through adb pull or root explorer copy or whatever.
Battery icon theme: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/308440/UOT-05-04-07-25-1-battery.zip
All that does is change the battery icon in the status bar.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And then I have a zip for this if anyone wants it. It also adds window glow and changes window animation.
NOTE: A large portion of this theme came from UOT kitchen, most of the icons are not mine, window animations are not mine, and window glow is not mine. All I did was change a few icons to green, make the status bar background, and modify a few files. jorgonv provided files to make AT&T and the clock white.
It's not finished, as one can tell by the black clock and grey date text. (But I guess it's better than nothing for now, as people seem to be itching for a theme. I know I was. ) I also forgot to change the status bar icon for no signal, and didn't try to change the icons for new text message, completed market install, and a few more. There might be some other things I missed. However, it works, or at least appears to. (Once again though, I don't guarantee it will) It also comes with new window animations, and a glow effect around pop-up windows. If anyone finds out how to make the clock and date text white, they get a prize.(thanks to jorgonv) I'll get back to work on it myself when I fix my computer, hopefully sometime next week. Now that that's out of the way, here's the zip. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/308440/heydabop_theme_v0.9.2.zip Updated: 06-13-11
To install, download the zip file to your phone, reboot into clockworkmod recovery, select install zip file from sdcard, and choose the theme zip. I also strongly advise that you wipe cache and dalvik-cache.

When I attempt to download the zip, I get a webpage error and no dialog box pops up to show the status of the download.
nevermind, I believe I've acheived success on this...thanks. Forgot about the right-click method...
Just updated, hopefully fixed the signal icon reverting to the original icon at full signal.
Updated 6-1-11: Packaged white clock text into zip
Updated 6-2-11: Packaged white date text into zip, thanks to jorgonv for the file and for notifying me that I forgot it.
Updated 6-13-11: v0.9.2: Edited battery icon, usb icon, and "more" icon so they fit in better with the other icons. Fixed slight aesthetic issue near the status bar pulldown.
Got white clock text thanks to jorgonv.
I'll work on getting it into the theme zip tonight.
Really awesome work on this, man. Once that clock text is updated I don't think I'll have any other suggestions to improve the basic design.
I'm looking forward to all the potential all of your guys' hard work might lead to.
So far so good. Keep up the amazing work.

Awesome! Thanks. I'm sure I'll feel dumb when I see what you did, as I looked in that file and obviously missed the value to change.

You can only flash it to BravoX by bandroidx, and you can do so by downloading the theme zip to your phone, going into cwm recovery, choosing install zip from sdcard, and selecting the zip file.
Okay Thank you, I just flashed it. Loading up the ROM right now.
is this theme already updated with the while clock and such?

Not really, but if you're comfortable downloading services.jar from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13544220&postcount=331 and flashing it to your phone then you can get the white clock. Sorry for not having it in the theme yet, just fixed my computer yesterday.

Thanks for the update; it looks great. For your next update, just a small fix like the clock color text, could you work on changing the date's color text, too? The text when you pull down the notifications toolbar where the date is displayed. For me, it's readable, but, like for the clock text, it's hard to do so. If you could make that white like the clock it would stand out just as much and be readable without any strain.

Do you have 0.9 or 0.9.1? jorgonv just pointed out to me that I forgot to include his date text fix, and I just uploaded a new zip with a more readable date text not even 5 minutes before you posted.
Oh, really? lol. I didn't notice. haha. I'm pretty sure I have the 9.0 so I'm going to try the new one and see.
EDIT: I just downloaded the 9.1 version and it looks awesome, man. Thanks for that.
