Hi guys
When i turn on my smartphone, it`s hang on splash screen. I was try to install Orange ROM and many other and always pops error 279 during upload ROM to device. I could make GoldCard, but i can`t second device with Windows Mobile and i don`t know how to read CID from my memory card in any other way. Each attempt update to new ROM (Ship) via micro-sd ends: "invalid certyficate". Do you have some ideas ???

You wrote, what you try update with an Orange ROM. Was it Shiped ROM?
Try download this one and try again. If it doesn't help, then i have no idea at this moment...

my mda is telling usb v1.00 its a duth one from t mobile and i im trying running the noid.exe with the qtek s100 rom dutch ship, but its still checking now for two hours and still cant get it working.
i cant reset it either

:wink: this trick works for me :wink:
1.get rthe MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
2.unpack the update to a folder (just unpack the exe with winrar )
3 replace MaUpgradeUt.exe with the noID one (rename it to MaUpgradeUt.exe )and run it while your phone is hooked up trough cable.
this works for me on several occasions :idea:

2. Use a clear subject

Guys i did a very stupid thing this evening. I flashed my Imate Jam using the MAupgrade_No ID and the Greek Qtek firmware.
The flashing was good but now my Jam cant go pass the first screen and continuously reboots. It says something about illegal rom used....and reboots
Any solution to bring back to the former situation?

OK i figured out how. On my panic i couldn't even think.

But how could i get past this problem with the greek version qtek rom? It is locked and although it lets me upgrade (using the No-ID) on the first reboot after flashing it rebbots all the time.
Any ideas?

Yep proteus3000uk,
Get yourself a shipped rom from your own provider. Put your magician into bootloader (camera & power & softreset until it reads serial or usb, there will be no backlight) uncheck usb in the connection settings from activesync on your PC & connect usb. Now it will read usb. Start the shipped rom program.
Or download a dumped or Big Storage rom & follow sd-card
flash method including the copy of your id from (first 420 bytes or so from your own romdump).
Or send it back and pray/beg for warrenty.
First two options are preferred off course. I 'repaired' mine with the first option, while I only had a black screen. So no OS or whatever on the rom.

Well i think that the Greek Qtek ROM is the only ROM worldwide that is edited from its programmers to run a phone version check, even after it lets you install it on your phone.
If it finds a phone version other than Qtek (in my case Imate Jam) the phone cant get past the initial splash screen and keeps rebooting for ever!
Then put it into bootloader and flash it wit an i-mate rom. Dumped, shipped or BIG storage and get rid of this Qtek ... rom.
Have you tried anything else than this qtek rom and what were the results?

The original english tom (WWE) works just fine (as it should anyway). The thing is i was trying to install the qtek GREEK rom in order to have proper Greek on my phone.
Unfortunately the suckers have locked the greek qtek rom and they have compiled the actual lock into the rom itself.
Although the rom is installed just fine using the No_Id prog, at the first reboot the phone hungs and then reboots for ever!
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I belief you can actually revert your magician back to the WWE rom and now you want help for unlocking of the Greek qtek rom.
This doesn't sound VERY URGENT to me, cause you can use your device only not in proper Greek, OK?
Can't help you with the unlocking though, maybe Buzz, Anansky or one of the other bright developers can.

i´m new here in this forum and i don´t have very much experience with flashing.
i made a mistake with my vario:
i tried to flash without running Hardspl first...and now i need the original t-online rom to flash back to it.
my vario 3 starts only in the tri-color mode and when i try to install another rom it says to me "Ungültige Verkäufer-ID"
i hope someone can help me what i have to do!
maybe someone knows where i can get form the original t-mobile rom.

i looked at the link you show, but theres no german t-mobile rom file.
if i try another rom file i get the message "invalid vender-id".
as i tried this rom file (KaiserGERTMobileReconstructedTest03.rar) it freeze 0%.
i didn´t found another german t-mobile rom.

Hello i have tck o8 (oh my god) and i need to change rom from wm5 wm6. I'm new with that and with pda's and i have not idea how i can doing this. I have HTC HD 2 and before 3 months i installed WP7.
Yesterday i tryed to back my wm 6.5, after formated Sd Card card i tryed to update with official stock rom from sd card and then the phone said " update software failed try again " or something like this. After that i did hard reset and tryed again but this way from the pc and give me error again "error 264", so i don't know what to do now Help me plssss ? !!!
