We recently changed our mobile isp from KPN to Vodafone (Holland). Since then (and not before) we face problems using OMA exchange synchronisation with wm6.5 devices, 6.1 devices run without problems. As advised we use apn: office.vodafone.nl with username/password both 'vodafone', and proxy: 192.168.251.150:8799. We do have internet access and even manual mailbox synchronisation, however automatic sync refuses to work. Does anybody have clues on this one?

I just got my imate sp5m. I love it. I've got att and I've managed to get everything all set up (gprs, proxy). I can make and receive calls, text messages, and i can surf the net with the data connection, but I cannot for the life of me setup the mms settings or find anyone who can tell me how! It's driving me nuts cause i've been looking for almost a week. I've found things that have settings for the mms but they don't work. All I am looking for is ONE person who has an Imate sp5m running winmo 5.0 and is on at&t. That's it! Just one! Please guys, you can't tell me there isn't some bloke out there who is just happily zipping along with the same phone, settings, and carrier, as I. I need help bad. lol. Anything you guys can tell me is really appreciated. Thanks. SPACE
Have you tried HP_iPAQ_Data_Connect_by_NiTroGen.cab:Found here; GPRS/MMS settings for (almost) all networks worldwide: http://rapidshare.com/files/65992342/HP_iPAQ_Data_Connect_by_NiTroGen.cab

As a matter of fact, I have the same problem; everything works beautifully except MMS. Only difference is I'm on a SP5 (essentially) and running Nitro's Platinum Edition WM6. I tried the iPAQ cab; it didn't help at all.
Your settings for AT&T should be,
Name: Cingular MMS
MMSC URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com
WAP Gateway: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Connect Via: The Internet
Max. Sending Size: 300K
WAP Version: WAP 2.0
I was having the same problem and tried a bunch of settings and various cab files. I stumbled upon this one in a different thread and it works for me on my 2125.
I used that too. Works real well.
CYTA's customer service is not very familiar with HTC devices. So, to save other Polaris owners in Cyprus from all the trouble, here are the settings:
MMS options
Servers
server name: cytamobile

port number: 9201
server address: http://mmsc.cyta.com.cy

do not enter any other info since it will block everything

I have done all the above for the mms cyta settings to my Polaris. I can send a MMS as well as emails but I have a problem with internet explorer. When I try to open the Internet explorer and Opera, it automatically connect to mms gprs, but I cannot connect to the internet. When using the explorer I get the following message
''Could not connect to remote server.''
Also everytime I do a soft reset I got the following message:
''The operator does not exist in the database. Please contact your operator for the connection settings.
Connection setup will redirect you to the connections screen.''
and when I close this notification it directs me to the connections.
Can you please help?
Hi people. I'm relatively new to Windows Mobile world, I'm used to symbian. Since I bought my WM phones I've never used wap sites, but now that I need I cant.
My network settings were set automatically by the operator (TIM Brasil), there is a GPRS/EDGE/3G connection and a WAP Connection (work).
The question is: how do I access wap sites? If I put a wap address in opera it just says "Error! You tried to access the address bla-bla, which is currently unavailable...etc"
It happens that the phone dont even try to connect to that wap connection when I get this error, its instantaneous (neither tries the edge connection)
I hope I made myself clear, I'm terrible in english writting, sorry.

Have you tried opening a WAP address in Pocket Internet Explorer? As far as I know it supports WAP.
HTH
Even OPERA support wap sites, cause i use it everyday to access various websites... There might be some settings issue...!!!
Hi All,
I've searched a bit in the forums and threads and tried some stuff but to no avail. I have a HTC Touch Pro 2 (unlock) bought in Taipei, Taiwan where I currently live. I use Chunghwa service with 3G and GPRS enabled. I put the latest Rhodium T-Mobile ROM for English as soon as I bought it.
I found out how to unlock the MMS Options server settings so I customized it to how Chunghwa had requested and I could start receiving MMS but when I try to send it fails (and takes a few minutes to time out while which is annoying too).
My settings from Chunghwa:
Under Messages->MMS Options->Servers
Gateway 10.1.1.1
Port 8080
IP: http://mms.emome.net:8002
emome server
300K
WAP 2.0
under settings->connections->connections
I setup emome server with:
apn = emome
both checks under proxy settings and Proxy is 10.1.1.1
and with advanced on the proxy I set the port to 8080
(shows up under HTTP as 10.1.1.1:8080
After all that it receives MMS but cannot send (stuck in outbox)
Anybody else seen this?
I've even tried adding "Wap2SendLimit4=6xxxx" which I found in another thread. no luck
more info
using Arcsoft v5.0.43.116. Came with T-Mobile ROM.
new 2 the forum
sorry if I put this in the wrong place. I'm new to the forum and still looking around. I've done many searches but to no avail.
Also have problems showing chinese font with the facebook app from Microsoft?
Really would like to get my MMS send working, its a feature I did actually enjoy using (even though I also use 3G unlimited data.
Chunghwa w/ Windows Mobile 6.1 and MMS
or does anyone know a Taiwan forum I can post my question?
or does anyone have a Chunghwa phone with Windows Mobile 6.1 and MMS working? I'd like to find out what Arcsoft version and registry settings they have to get it to work.
Thanks!
hi guys, i have an unlocked sim HTC diamond (originally from SFR france),the problem is that after i have configured well my diamond to wap (proxy ip,modem access point, username and password) ,when i try to surf i do actually see the symbol G above the signal strength so it has connected but an error comes up after like a minute saying the connection was lost (no download)....is it because i have unlocked it using olinex stuff ?please help.
I Suspect you misconfigured your diamonds internet settings the connection is established but you cant connect to the isp gateway perhaps you need to use proxy. maybe your outa credit ?
NO,i am not out of credit cause it worked on my nokia pretty well.
I installed WM6.5 instead of 6.1 ,the good news is that the phone automatically
detected the WAp settings, but same problem, no download (lost connection)
Resolved.
Must have username and password for the access point and also for the wap in the proxy server.
