Does anyone have the original camera and camcorder apps for a Cellular South CDMA HTC Hero from the 1.5 Rom. The quality from the apps in 2.1 update is terrible and I hate that you can't zoom with the trackball sucks. Any help appreciated. Thanks. BTW my phone is rooted running the southpaw rom

Check the G1 Development section, almost all ROMs released there work on both G1 and Magic 32B. The G1 has a 32B baseboard as well.
Some popular Eclair ROMs are called OpenEclair, KingKlick's and Manup's. HTC has not released graphics or camera drivers for the 32B, so currently there is no camcorder, video or YouTube HD on 2.0/2.1 ROMs. The still camera works only because someone figured it out on their own.
Sapphire Dev seems to have become focused more on 32A and the few rare Magic-specific ROMs like Amon_RA.
Multiple questions here. I know the EVO source code was released. Has anyone found a solution to make the camera work on Froyo 2.2 or make the camera work with the 30Hz screen limitation hack on 2.1?

Check Cyanogenmod for the Evo. It's the best AOSP rom out for the evo atm in my opinion. 40 fps, both cameras work, & linpack scores are easily 40 average.

Hi everyone I am using Android Revolution HD™ 3.0.3 and it works wonderfully for me but I also was wondering if anyone had a working port of the MyTouch4G Slide camera app (Im a big photo taker) I love the camera the sensation comes with but I would LOVE to have the camera from there.
