Ive looked through most of the threads in this forum but don't recall seeing anything removing that notice. I saw it listed as a feature in a custom ROM not too long ago. Any ideas? Thx in advance
USB debugging can be turned off by going into the main menu and clicking on applications>development>USB debugging.

In CyanogenMod you can disable the notification. You just click on the debugging icon and select the "be notified" option.

Caulkin's 2.2 Evio rom allows this to be disabled as well, I believe

This has been an ongoing annoyance and finally figured I'd ask. Does anyone know of a way to disable the audio notification when connecting to computer?
I think disabling debug

Nope, does it either way.
Settings - Applications - Development - USB debugging notify.
Turn it off.

Perhaps a CM7 option? Don't have that option, running stock based TSUI right now. It's the same on other stock based roms I've too though

I'd like to disable this but don't see the option either. There's a debugging checkbox but nothing for notifications.
You would have to change the audio file itself which is stored in one of the system files, I think either framework or system UI.

You're going to laugh at the Android n00b, but here goes...
My Skyrocket keeps reading SMS's to me as they come in. I have no idea how to tell which program it is coming from. This is really annoying so any help you can give would be much appreciated!

What programs have you added? It is almost certainly one of those.
I'm guessing you have car mode on. Check the settings turn it off.

Vlingo does this also.
Go to:
1. "Settings"
2. "Voice Input and Output"
3. "Text-to-speech settings"
4. Then uncheck "Driving mode"
haha what a cool feature i didn't even know about it!
I've been running the EOS 3.0 JB nightlies for about a week now, and everything is working great with none of the sound/mail/issues.:good:
However I find that the developer options page in setup is totally greyed out.. no access to any options, not currently a major issue although titanium backup complains that I'm not set to USB debugging mode on startup.
and I can't access any options on that setup page. all other setup option pages seem normal with full access.
I must be missing a simple step but nothing I've done seems to change it.
reflashed with latest rom and gapps (126 and 0726) with full wipe.. still no selections available
if anyone has a suggestion I would greatly appreciate it
Top right corner there is a switch to enable them.

OK... I don't look too good.... and apparently can't see either. :silly::silly:
gee I wonder if there is a prize for dumb poster of the day ---
Thanks for the rapid response - I knew the answer was here --- just not that obvious.
Hi, I'm running VenomXL 3.2.6 with the ElementalX kernel.
I keep trying to turn off USB debugging, but it keeps turning back on every time I plug it in. It's not as much of an issue with my PC, but when I plug it into my car to use the AAlinq app with my audio adapter, it won't stay turned off, and I need it off for that hardware to work correctly.
Also, I can't select charge only/mount as disk drive/etc. anymore. When I pull down the notification bar, and touch "USB connected" to change the settings, it takes me to the WiFi hotspot/tethering menu.
Anyone have any light to shed on this?
Open viper.zip
Open /system
Open build.prop
Look for a line that says persistADB or something similar, probably under "addidtional build prop"
If it's true, turn to false/ if it's 1, change to 0

Hrm, the only reference to that is "persist.adb.notify=0" It seems that it's just a notifier for when debugging is enabled. I don't see anything about the actual debugging service itself.
Bump
did you try disabling the usb debugging options in the developers options .. maybe that helps !
If I use a heavy app like a game or opera mobile or chrome, and I exit that app, I see white screen with green HTC logo, as if my mobile is being turned on. The mobile does not get restarted, just the homescreen is restarted. So, is it normal? I mean does android even kill the Homescreen and its UI if memory is required? or is my phone having a problem?
Use turbo boost mod ur problem will be gone

Bro i think you might have "Dont keep activities" turned ON,
Go to... settings > "Developer Options" > Go all the way down were it says Apps and see if you have "Dont keep activities" ticked, if you do untick it (so it dosent have a check mark) that options refreshes your phone everytime you close an app.

I am on stock Rom. btw is there a way to check this? because there may be a little chance of having custom Rom because I bought this phone second-hand.
