[Blackstone] Lockscreen with password numeric pad - General Questions and Answers

Hi to all, I'm looking for a lockscreen for my blackstone that shows during locking a numeric pad (with 0-9 keys), and to unlock, the user must press a numeric 'code' (4 digits for example)... Searching google, I found nothing...
Do you know something like this?
Thanks!

Hello you can go to the startup ---> menu --> settings --> lock and there you assign a password you can choose from a numeric pad and to a qwerty by choosing the password strength (simple or strong alphanumeric)
i have this menu on a WM 6.5 i don't know if there is the same on 6.1

PowerOn password tweak

This is how you can change your PowerOn password
method:
[HKCU\Control Panel\Owner]
PowrPass=hex:03 (text box and SIP input screen)
or
PowrPass=hex:01 (nice dialpad like password screen)
Be careful: setting value 2 made me had to hard reset (no input possible)
Perhaps it is for devices with hard keyboard.
Cheers

T9 Problem of P525

The T9 input method of ASUS P525 doesn't work with HTML forms. When trying to fill a fields in HTML form, I can only key in digits using T9. Pressing '*' key won't bring up the input options as it normally does.
I also notice similar problem in "My Information" screen. T9 works properly on the name, company and address field, but I can only enter digits in the email field using T9.
Do you have the same issue? Is this a bug of P525's T9? Thanks for help.
many people have the same issue
Yeah I suspect I get that same problem too when entering any password, you know, the sort where everything you typed/keyed in appears as a "*" on the screen.
Every time I use T9 for that, no word list pops up, so I think T9 is working in number pad mode.

How to disable auto-complete, word suggestions and XT9 on Topaz

Hi everybody!
I'm actually using Dutty's HolyGrail R1 Rom for topaz, and for a long time (since original rom) I've been looking for a way to get rid of all the autocomplete and xT9 services on my TD2. The only thing I want is to freely type whatever I want without any kind of suggestions or corrections . I've tried the Advanced Configuration Tools to tweak this unsuccessfully. Does anyone knows how to do it?
Why not pressing the little XT9/ABC button on your device's keyboard and put the device in ABC mode? In that mode the topaz displays exactly whatever you type..
yea but this does not disable button, i want to disable button that it will be always in ABC mode, even if i press that button again, something like keyboard look when you type "To:" field (XT9 ABC) button is disabled...
Hi there
Have you tried using the Text Input Settings that you can find if you touch the Up arrow next to the Text Input Selector available whenever you can input text, ie, SMS or email entry?
You get a pop up menu which has Text Input Settings as an option. If you select that you get an options dialog that has a heading 'XT9 Settings' one of which is 'Word Completion (XT9)' with an On/Off slider button. Toggle this to Off and you should find that when the keyboard is presented you are now set in ABC mode with no option to toggle into XT9 mod.
Should point out that I am running a standard ROM with Manila 2.1.
Hope that helps?

[Q] How to disable appointments and mail on the lock screen of a device WM 6.5.3

Hi everybody,
We're using a Motorolo MC75 device running under WM 6.5.3.
We want to avoid users to use tmail.exe or poutlook.exe which has been done by using the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun registry key and this works really fine.
Now, we added the use of the default lock screen (included in WM) and clicking on the "Contacts" button or the "Appointments" button after entering the right pin code allow the final user to access the appointment functionality.
Do you have a trick / Hack / workaround to bear the launch of theses functionnality ?
For information, we've faced the same issue using the pin code from Afaria (Sybase)
Thanks for your help

[Q] Switching between different keypad types (on the touchscreen)

hi,
I know that the transformer comes with its on default keypad onscreen.
However i have also put on the apps flexit9 and writepad (handwritting recognition app).
I was wondering if there was a shortcut to switching between these different types of keypads/text inputs quickly whilst in programs like polaris office and the internet browser, etc....
Many thanks in advance
Once you have pulled up a keyboard, look at the bottom status bar on the right side. You'll see a keyboard icon, tap on it and it will pull up a menu of all keyboard available to choose from.
