As far as OFFICIAL FIRMWARE, you won't find it, because it doesn't exist. The official firmware stopped at 1.6 AFAIK.
HOWEVER!!!! You are at the right place to get that baby rooted and hooked up with 2.2 FroYo!! Go back 1 page and scroll down a bit. You shall be happy.

Quick Question On the G1 Firmwares

Ok just ordered my G1 today and need to know somethings. Where can i get the latest firmware? Because some people are saying that it doesn't work over the air for AT&T users. And what is the current firmware that is out right now?
Thanks

Isn't JFv1.41 a modded firmware? I was talking about the official one

Firmware: 1.0
Build: TC4-RC30
JFv1.41 is modded but still from the same core

If you want to renounce the benefits of the modded firmware (you can always switch back) all you will have to do is wait. The next firmwareupdate will be pushed to you automatically, whether you are on t-mobile ore not, it even works via wifi. As soon as you connect to the internet - and the update is due for you - you will recieve a message on your phone.
rc30 is the most up to date official firmware in usa

[Q] Quick froyo 2.2 ? please read TY!

You asking if you can OTA the update when its officially released?
If your running a custom ROM and kernel than you can't OTA it. If your just rooted and are running the stock ROM I believe you can OTA it but it will make you lose root.
If your running a custom ROM, you might as well just flash a custom FroYo ROM thats based off the Official FroYo one when its released, we all know the Dev's here make things better.

If you are running a completely stock Epic with no modifications to the kernel/ROM etc., then you will receive an OTA notification when it is available. If not, you will have to wait until the new .tar comes out in order to flash it with Odin, or you can go back to complete stock to receive the OTA.
Ok thats all i needed to no ty all for the fast responses! YOUR THE BEST GUYS! and yea im all stock so ill be getting it ota dont no the release date yet but im looking forward to it this month (I HOPE! lol) anyway just wanted to say ty and keep up your good work guys i check back very often and see wats out and new ;P

When was this found out/announced?
Is it any different from the stock 2.2.1 SBF (UK version) found on and-developers?
If anyone gets their hands on this build please post a screenshot of the About screen.
Not sure how to do screenshot ?
Build number SHOLS_U205.26.0
Kernel version 2.6.32.9-gafbfc43
[email protected] 1
Firmware configuration version

Oh ok, my bad.
This is the same version which is on and-developers.. it was announced few months back as far as I know.
It also uses the older kernel. Newest official kernel is the Arabic/African one. You can check this out in the kernel collection thread.
Motorola started rolling out the Froyo update in stages. This might've showed up only now.
Rom in general
used this for 24 hours now battery life better than most other roms and it must be said uk version must have been polished in some way over german release or aisia.no fc's so must be great for stock foyo rom
That said missing miui so going back to that
I've also uploaded a couple of days ago this rom up on my moto.Clean install from 2.1 and works very well.
Battery life on that ROM is unacceptable.
Did update from stock UK eclair and i have to say 2.1 was far battery friendly..

Funny I got this version months ago from the Motorola UK site sitting here in Bangladesh and I updated via the update tool provided by Motorola.
The only difference I see here is that my build number is SHOLS_U2_05.26.0.

Hi, for Romania is good this release ? or not

[Q] Firmware downgrade needed?

SO, I've been trying ICS ROMs... and have updated to the latest firmware...
But lets say I wanted to go back to 2.3.5 and Sense 3.5 ....
Would I need to flash my firmware (HBOOT/Radio) back, or should I expect that the older ROMs would work fine with the newest firmware ?
I'm not a noob by any means, but figured this question was worth putting out there.

Hi,
A lot of people have reported that the ICS firmware works well on GB.
So there its no need to change back .
You may need to flash an appropriate RIL.
If you do decide to go back,1.17 is HERE
I can confirm that the ICS firmware is working fine with GB ROM...I was going to go back, but as a flashing addict wanted to be able to try ICS again, so I kept it.

Upgrading skyrocket from ICS 4.0.3 to 4.0.4

hello mates,
i have an issue with samsung kies, i'm trying to update my skyrocket's firmware from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 and when i connect it via USB, kies recognizes it perfectly, the problem comes when it says the following: ''your device does not support software upgrading via Kies'', theres a picture on attachments showing what i'm saying.
does anybody has a fix for this? i really want to upgrade to see if i can use instagram, because the application crashes when i attemp to upload a picture.
thanks.

I think your going to need to use odin to flash to 4.0.4 because that firmware was a leaked build aka not supported. I can't find it right now but I think there was a one click odin for the final version(if you want to stay stock).

hello and thanks for the reply, i want to stay in stock version, mine is not even rooted, i just need to upgrade because that instagram issue is pissing me off, but i saw some people upgrading to 4.0.4 via Kies, so what's going on here?
oh by the way, is there a 4.0.4 official version for skyrocket? or it isn't out yet, because my friend just upgraded his atrix 2 to that version.
I have the official 4.0.4 version on my skyrocket.

The problem is you upgraded to a leaked release at some point. If you were on a official version you could have used Kies to upgrade to 4.0.4.
I think your best bet now is to flash I727UCLF6 with odin. that's the official version that Kies would put on your phone.
read over this thread a few times before you do anything http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652398
