This package is a mixture of Super Circle Battery and Smooth Sense Icons. I am not the original author of these mods, full credit goes to the respected authors! I am however the creator of Smooth Circle Battery. For bugs or suggestions, please consult the original thread(s). Please save this thread for comments pertaining to this remix!
Original thread: Smooth Sense Icons
Original thread: Super Circle Battery
Smooth Circle Battery is just a remix of Super Circle Battery. It is smooth scrolling for those that prefer it over the 'block' style.
Requires a deodexed ROM!
I have created six versions of this package:

For those who mix their own mods, here are the files you should copy into your mod for just the Smooth Circle Battery:
framework-res.apk/res/drawable/stat_sys_battery.xml
framework-res.apk/res/drawable/stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
framework-res.apk/res/drawable/zzz_stat_sys_battery_1.xml
framework-res.apk/res/drawable/battery_charge_fill.xml
framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-v4/stat_sys_battery_0.png (0 through 100)
framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-v4/stat_sys_battery_charge_anim0.png (0 through 33)
framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-v4/stat_sys_battery_unknown.png
That should be all of them, I think...
*Update 8/12*
New red version
*Update 8/27*
This mod works on the new 8/26 Froyo leak (MUST BE DEODEXED!), but does not contain the same images as the leak! This affects a great deal of the GUI, such as the lockscreen and buttons. I am trying to find a way to port these icons to the new framework, and will open a new thread when I have!
Tested and confirmed on: SkyRaider 2.2 Vanilla & Sense; Second Wave
Remember: Always nandroid before applying any mod!
This worked brilliantly, thank you soooo much!!
thanks, looks good
Glad you like it! I just updated it to be smooth scrolling. Its now one sexy beast!
those look nice man great job...
does this have transparent shade as well..?
I'm working on trying to roll the super circle icons into my own theme and need to know what files, besides the battery icon pngs, need to be changed to make it work. Thanks!
Using Adrenyline's Evo port rom and, while this did add the scrolling icons and circular battery meter, the battery meter was a bit messed up. While charging, it would always show 98, then 99, then full. When unplugged, it showed some random headphone-looking icon and not the battery meter.
Can this be rebuilt into the stock framework-res.apk?
Hi everyone -- I was just wondering if it's possible for someone to rebuild these great smooth scrolling battery icons into the standard framework-res.apk that comes with the Froyo leak.
I noticed that the framework-res.apk in this mod is structured differently than the stock file, which makes it a little confusing to theme further.
I'd do it myself, but I have no idea how to correctly recompile the necessary XML files so they're pointing to the right graphics...
Just an idea...
I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question...
Do you need to be rooted in order to try this mod?

Yeah, you do.
Are both of these supposed to be blue? Could you maybe make a regular green one?
My apologies in advance as well, but I tried searching the forum and google and didn't really find anything but to install this mod, do you just place the zip file on the root of your sd card and then do the install zip from sdcard in the recovery mode? (I am new to all of this and just barely finished rooting and installing sky raider 2.2)

I think the remixed one changes color as the battery charge goes down. Not entirely sure about this, though. I'm at 90% now, and it's still blue.
EDIT: Confirmed, green begins at 79%.
Yeah both of them are blue someone wanna make a green version? lol the blue doesn't really go with my theme but it looks smooth.. green would be perfect.
is there any way we can get that battery ported for the original droid? i dont know if it would be hard or not, but its great. the theme also looks pretty amazing, but im not on the DI.
Works great. Thanks for merging the 2.
How odd, I thought my battery life was going in the ****ter, as I'd go from 100% green to 90% blue (even after a battery recalibration). Steady 1%-increment counts down to about 84%, so I checked the on-phone meter under Settings and found that it was at 96%. Sure enough, go out and download a battery widget, it shows 96%. Went in, rebooted twice (first reboot had the wrong SD card in it ), flashed the original post #54 green-yellow-red battery, rebooted once more and all is back working accurately.
Just wanted to give the play-by-play in case anyone else seemed to be experiencing any inconsistencies since flashing the mashup.
edit: re-flashing the smooth scroll + smooth circle allowed it to now reflect the proper battery usage. Sitting steady @ 92%
i too experienced some issue with it dropping to 90% instantly after unplugging power. reflashing mod fixed it for me.
i dont know if i merged both of these things right, im still trying to get into it! but i will go ahead and release a green version in the next few days

I love original HTC Sense look and feel, but I also love percentage battery. So I made percentage battery which looks like original one . But after that, I realized that some other sense icons could be better. E.g.: sync icon - it is not animated, but I think it should be! So I decided to make theme/icon set for Sense ROMs, which will look like original, but will be extended by new smoother animations and new icons .
Here is complete list of changes:

All work was done by Jercik....please DONATE to him if you like it. I'm not sure he'd appreciate his e-mail up so here's the link to his thread to find a way to donate.
Place on SD and install through CWRecovery or Rom Manager
P.S. This will be making its way into my theme soon!
Awesome!
Thanks for these, just installed them and they look great!
I really want to learn how to make custom application icons. Anyone have a guide? Is it easy? Great job on these btw.
This look nice, thanks.
The gray numbers not covered by the colored battery meter are really hard to read in anything but dim light, but still a good little set. Thanks!
i get FC on launcher , runing SkyRaider Rom 2.0.1

+1 to that. Other then that its working as intended thanks!
Another +1 on the battery text. Other than that, very nice.
These are the originals from jercik, the creator of this mod. I will modify them for my theme.
if anybody wants the text white go to the thread and let the dev know...
has anyone else verified they don't work on skyraider 2.0.1?
edit....checking it out
thank u very much! this works well with pmf2 rom

Wanted to share my results. It force closes on me on bootup...
Running LauncherPro. Will try switching back to Sense to see if I get the same issues and report back.
Edit: Not sure about etiquette here so I'll just edit my original post. I tried switching back to Sense UI to see if anything changed...still getting a lot of force closes on bootup. I am running the leaked 2.2 build and I'm rooted. The only other thing I can think of is that I am running the default Android lock screen.

If we're both running SkyRaider 2.0.1 and are both installing the zip, how is it not working for me but you aren't having any trouble? Very strange.
works for me on adrynalyne second rom
this is working fine on my phone....pmf2, launcherpro, vanilla lock screen
I was able to change the battery text to white and install. Looks and works great on the first leaked Froyo rom (pre 8/1). Just waiting to see if Jercik minds that I post the zip since I modified his work
Android Robot Can See You!
I updated all the files below with a zip that contains eyes at all times.
Ground Rules:
Must have root
You must get the file for your ROM. If you pick another you will go into a bootloop
If your ROM is not listed you may request it, It usually takes me a day or two to get a zip up. You can also use the Ninja Morph way described below
If you get an error about file verification problems turn the file verification off. the new verification method does not work with my zips.
If you are using a custom theme inside your ROM you need to download the one that works with your theme. I would be more than happy to build a ZIP for your theme, I just need you to link my to it.
For example: You may have cyanogen mod 6.1.2 with the Project Bliss theme. In this case you need the Project Bliss file NOT the CM 6.1.2
If you like, Please take the time to say thanks
If this breaks your phone its not my fault, Always do a backup before you flash anything
Special Thanks to wright3d who did work on the eyes.

Looks cool man, congrats on your first release!!
My suggestion, would be have a full Android outline that had a green color inside of the outline that went down with battery drop. Like a glass of water thats half full, you still see the top half of the glass, but you know only the bottom half has something in it. I think you should see the full Android outline at all times, just the interior color go away....hope that makes sense
Thats a great idea! I was having a hard time coming up with an idea, because the current one when almost dead, is just feet and very hard to see. I am off to work now but that will be my project for tonight.
I honesty don't expect any one to use this, I am just using this thread to show off my work and get input from XDA, like I did. That said, if you do want to use this more power to you!
If you set it up like that then I will put on my phone and check it out. If it does look good, then I know my fiance will love it and I'll be putting it on hers for sure.
that is pretty sweet and I agree with stanglifemike, with the full body outline I could see this would be pretty popular. Thanks for the work.
I updated with outlines!
Awesome man!! This looks really cool and is really different from anything else than others have done. Congrats on this, and I look forward to your future work as well!!
Great job man! I like the outlined version much better. I had a suggestion for you. With your new version when the batt is full, the droid has eyes. When the battery drains below the droids head, the eyes disappear. It would be cool if you could change the eye color from black to green once the battery drains far enough and then coincide the color with the battery level from there on out (yellow to red, etc.). It might not even be noticeable, given the size of the icon, but just a thought. Either way, nice job!

I want this on my phone but i have no idea how to use NinjaMorph. Any help?
I also need assistance using the ninjamorph app. Please reply asap.

I put a quick guide in.
Anyone try this on CM 6.1.1?
I will do this right now. Please give me a little time to flash CM 6.1.1
Edit: This should work on CM 6.1.1 using the same directions. It did for me. Please just in case you run into a problem, do a full backup!
I just followed your guide to the T and at the point when I am to replace the file with yours, ninjamorph does not show that I even have your icon file. I downloaded it again just to be sure...I got the same result. What am I not doing? And do you think your design can be used along with the percentage reading .zip inside of my current battery icon?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I'm sorry. Did you make sure to unzip and place my icons folder on your SDcard? Then you must navigate to it in the file browser.
I am not sure about the % zip as I am unsure what your talking about.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Thank you. I previously used a .zip that allows my battery icon to show the % remaining on the inside of the icon.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Ok I am going to say yes. My theme just changes the image that is shown as the battery, no code has been changed. That said I am not sure how it will look and align with my battery. If you do it, let me know how it looks.

Hey banksj17 whats up pimpin. Question have you ever been to UOT Kitchen?
I got stuck in a bootloop doing this =/. I did it on CM 6.1.1 and followed the instructions. However, I was also running a custom theme, would that have caused the issue perhaps?
I also did not zipalign after I was done.

Also for some of you old timers that might remember I had a blue theme sorta thingie...well I've played with making my aosp build blue here and there over the last few months. I haven't been able to work on it as much as I'd like, and I really haven't shared it with anybody cause it still needs work. But I thought I'd put it up here just for some variety. Maybe some of you can put some time in it as well It's got the Better Battery style, but blue (with percentage) and a few other blue items.

I completely re-made the stock battery and made it a smooth gingerbread battery. It's not as smooth as my circle mods since I didn't have as much graphic to work with (battery is only ~25 pixels tall, lol), but it is much nicer than the stock version, while still keeping the nice gingerbread look. It does have percentages now, but I also have it available without percentage if anybody wants it.
This is a "regular smooth" charge animation. It does not have my hybrid style. I can make another one up some of you would like one. I like it fine the way it is.
Oh yeah....this file will also change your volume bar/web loading/etc (progress-horizontal) to green instead of the bright yellow.
Cool!
Screenshot?
Sure, we need some percentages on the new RC1 build.
A screenshot would be great. I'll try to do that ASAP, but hopefully, someone will beat me on this one!
Well, it looks just like the stock battery pretty much:

Works fine, thanks pendo!
After applying this, when I choose Cyanbread from the Theme Manager, the battery stays green. If I didn't flash this, would the battery also change to cyan with the Cyanbread theme, or is it green?
Battery life issue
Is anybody seeing a major drop in battery life? I was doing fine before I flashed the battery mod, but after flashing my battery was dropping about 10% per hour. I don't know if this is a CM7 issue or a battery mod problem.
By the way, I am not complaining, I think that this mod is great and I really hope that it is something else. I will try flashing it again and see if the problem persist, and I will try to figure it out. Thanks for the hard work.

Works great so far on my EVO with CM7 RC1. But I have a gray triangle between my wifi and cell reception. What is that? Can I take it off? And oddly enough after reboot the auto brightness is ALOT darker than normal so I turned it off. Thanks for the theming.
Maybe that this is not compatible with your phone.

Works well here, thanking you muchly!
Love it, thank you.
thanks! works great
Thanks! Good job.
Works for me, build #46
Thank you. works great.
Tested on CM7rc1 and works great. I miss my circle indicator . On line kitchen has rc1 and I tried it and for a sec you see the circle prior to everything crashing and phone rebooting
Did this one by request. Pretty straightforward AOSP GB look for 596. Thanks to Fabolous(@bigxie) for letting me use some of the files from Apex 2.0 to save me a little time. Also I used the Swype GB keyboard from Liberty(JRummy). This theme will let us keep Blur but still have the feel of AOSP.
Most of the blue from MotoBlur should be gone but there are still a couple areas where it might pop up. I will try to fix as I find them. Three flavors to choose from: Standard AOSP GB look, AOSP GB with 10% battery and an alternate version with a glossy notification bar and 10% battery.
You must be on the deodexed 596
It is best to flash the deodexed 596 then install this zip file via Clockwork Recovery.

Thanks for this awesome theme. This is what the gingerbread x update should have looked like. I hated that blue dialer, blue notification bar, just hated blue in general. I have tried all the gingerbread roms out there. It seems like they remove alot of the functionality of the rom like, photo sharing without having to download the facebook app in which it sucks. Once again thxs.

Worked the second time! Thanks for this!
This is the tits!
This is my first ever theme, but I really like it. Was running stock GB and completely hated it. This makes it almost perfect!
Now I can wait patiently for all the bugs to get worked out of CM7.
Is there something I am missing? I have tried to flash the first two of these, and with both, the right side lock slider (the one that controls volume) does not look correctly. It has a whitish tint, while the left side slider looks correct and dark grey. I ran the deodexer to get back to stock, but I would love to use this. The mismatched lock sliders are a dealbreaker.
I appreciate any work put into correcting this or helping me out to fix it.
Edit: the right slider looks correct (dark grey) when I use it and enable silent mode. When I slide it again, it turns back to white (cycles this way).
Awesome theme
New to this whole thing and just put this theme on my phone. Its great for all but one thing. The select color and the "motion stop" color when you scroll and hit the end are yellow.. is there any way to get them in android green, or can you write up a tut on how to change it? I'd like to get them in the same color as the wifi/batt icons.
I paired this up with [Theme] AOSP GB Themed Blur Dialer for .596 so it may be that addition that made it this way but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much for the great theme!
natemz....I haven't seen anything from you since I had my Storm. I know this is good if you did it.
Anyways....do you have to be rooted for this? I havent been able to root this phone yet. Thanks in advance.
the deodexed .596 is prerooted.. so i suppose you do have to be rooted... its a pretty painless process.. search flash .596 deodexed.... do it.. no point in dealing with vz's lame unrooted mess. I am kicking myself for not sbf'ing before now... if you're already on the .596 gingerbread ota from vz you should be able to backup and reuse the backup to restore your data
nice theme
Awesome themes. I'm using them now. No problems so far.
I take that back. Unless I'm missing something, I no longer have the slide to unlock screen working. It automatically goes to the home screen every time now. Anyone else have this happen?
Will this work with .602? If not, will it be updated (please)?
EDIT: I tried installing this on manually deodexed .602 a couple times and just end up with a boot animation loop. So yeah, doesn't work with .602.
EDIT: EDIT: Nevermind, I'm obviously an ADB noob. I used GB_2.3.3_4.5.602_Deodexer.zip instead and all is good. This theme is working fine with .602.
So to kill time I figured I'd try my luck with the UOT kitchen and add battery % to the stock battery icon in the status bar. It works!
I have the 4.0.0.9 recovery from Modaco and I also installed Paul's de-odexed version of the stock ROM. Several users have now confirmed that it works fine on the 100% stock rooted ROM without any problems.
Here's an example of what it looks like:

I also added battery % to the debloated ROM undeadk9 posted in the dev section. It looks just like the battery % posted above. Here's the link:

I created a new theme in UOT kitchen that's b&w much like the theme pmcqueen created but a little simpler, with battery %, status bar mods, and pop-up window/slider bar mods. I left off flying window animations because I wanted to keep this a bit more stockish; also, I kept getting errors trying to flash pmcqueen's theme so I made my own...

Here's the file link for the theme!

P.S. I suppose it goes without saying that you need to be rooted...
Thanks what accounts for the size of this modification? is an active element that draws battery power?

I'm not sure. There are 100 images for battery and several images for charging. Then there's installation scripts and what not and Framework mods. I couldn't say it draws power but there's obviously some sort of constant communication (as there was before, too.) My battery life hasn't been affected at all today, so I'm not worried about it.

all this mod does is give you a modified systemui.apk and framework-res.apk and packages them into an installable zip that replaces the apks already on your phone.
if you open up the zip, you'll find systemui.apk and frameworkres.apk (which have been modified by the UOT kitchen), which is why the zip is 4.x MB. it's replacing entire apks, not just the battery images themselves.
gracias! I uploaded the systemUI and framework apks into the UOT kitchen and it must have rewritten them with the modified images and voila!
Very happy progress - not having battery % as a number up in my status bar is a pain in the ass.
Glad someone is dumping time into this, it was on my list but all the other work i'm doing with this phone has been keeping me from it.
I'm not running the de-odexed ROM, so i'm gonna hold off on this at the moment, but i'm (again) very happy to see someone working on this. (unless you think it'll work on the stock rom?)
Thank ya. no problems. Glad to have this.

should work just fine. backup just to make sure, but I don't think it will be an issue.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! - Wish i'd seen that when you posted it, or I would have installed this a long time ago.
I couldn't resist, it only took a few hours after I downloaded before I couldn't hold off any longer.
Fantastic work, no-nonsense exactly what I wanted. Shows me the numerical percentage of battery capacity inside my battery icon on the status bar. Still shows the lightning bolt when charging.
Numerical display is accurate compared to all the apps I that I had on the phone that told me this, and now I dropped a widget from one of my desktops that was hanging around just to show me the percentage as a number - something I couldn't find anywhere else on the phone. (WTF HTC)
So I can now confirm this will work on stock/rooted ROM, no issues. Thanks unclespoon!
You're welcome! It was a fun learning experience for me, too. The UOT kitchen has always felt a little overwhelming to me, but now I feel much more comfortable with how it works and am more willing to play around with stuff! I'd do more, but for now battery % was all I really wanted.
Hugs and kiss in a none homo way. Like italian bros. Lol

Hahaha you're welcome! Also, I updated the OP with a new, more inclusive pic along with information that it has been confirmed to work 100% A-OK with the stock ROM!
tried it with stock rom and it works, thanks. Unrelatd question, how much space did you save by going with paul's stock deoxed rom? I have uninstalled a lot (majority) of things using Titanium explroer, but am simply too lazy to go back for the odexs.
Thanks
Now the onlyh thing left to do is find a way to remove recent and the t-mobile sign.

Thanks! I made another one that's all b&w with overscroll, highlights, and a few other things. I kept it pretty simple though to just keep it stock-ish with a black & white theme. I can upload pics if you want but it's pretty similar to the one pmcqueen posted, but for some reason his didn't flash correctly on mine so I made my own.
Here's the file:

Flashing is the same as the OP link. This just has more stuff and is monochromatic. I like it! It's fun to keep changing things up!

Thank you!
I'm running this on a stock root, everything works fine. I like the different colors as well
