[Q] TV.COM App - Android Apps and Games

I wonder if anyone can get this app to work.
I am in the UK and downloaded this app from the market(using market enabler), when I accept the terms and conditions, normally it just force closes the app.
On a handful of occasions, if it manages to get past the T&C, then it stays stuck at 0%.
Anyone got this working at all.
I am using the HTC Hero > used several 2.1 and 2.2 roms all the same errors.
Wi-fi Connection

same here in Egypt using HTC Wildfire, downloaded APK file and installed same exact symptoms as above.

[Q] Nexus S and Market Website Installation

Have any Nexus S owners had any luck getting installations from the new Android Market Website to work ?
I can install to my ZTE Blade (rooted with custom ROM) without problem but whenever I try installing to my Nexus S (rooted with stock 2.3.2) I get the message "This app will be downloaded to your device shortly." but nothing happens on the phone.
I've tried signing in and out of GTalk without any success so I'm wondering how other users have got on.
I've not tried it yet TBH, sorry.
Works fine for me anyway. Download starts a few minutes after adding it. sync on? Checked market settings?
Mine works fine as well, it's almost instantaneous for me to install stuff via the market website.

GMail sync is off as I don't use the Gmail client but it's the same on the ZTE Blade that works.
As for the settings, which market settings should I be looking at ?
On the Phone App the only option is Notification which is set to "Notify Me" (the same as on the ZTE Blade), while on the Market Website the Nexus S is there and set to "Shown in Menus". Is there something else I need to set ?

Market Download Issues

Hi all,
I am on the "old" version of the Android Market and have noticed an issue over the last several weeks that is starting to happen more often. Whenever I get software updates, especially when I use the "Update All" option, each app will download to 100% and then I get a message like this:
"Download was unsuccessful, please try again."
My completely baseless theory is that downloads are choking with multiple write operations happening at once. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, usually I either have to do one update at a time or switch to WiFi to resolve.
Thanks!

[Q] Market Can't Buy Apps

Whenever I try to buy an app, it says, "An error has occurred, please try again" and it won't let me buy it. I've tried three ROM's, factory reset, cleared market data and all extensions, tried three different versions of the market, rebooted, I've tried purchasing on different wifi networks, 4G and 2G, money is on my card and it is the correct card information. Nothing seems to be working. Any help? I'm using HyperSensation v1.2 and Market version 3.3.11.
I have the same problem with latest Market updates. I think it's problematic software.
I have to use my PC to buy apps.
That would happen to me and I would just wait until there was activity on the mobile network (white up and down arrows not grey) and then it seemed to work fine.

[Q] GPS Not working after updating to Stock Rooted ICS 40 S hTC Asia HK 2.42.708.3

Hi,
Last night I flashed my One XL with Stock Rooted ICS 40 S hTC Asia HK 2.42.708.3, and I have noticed today that the GPS is on, but the phone is unable to find the current location, and none of the GPS dependent apps are able to pick it up.
I only flashed the rom.zip file, and nothing else. Everything else seems to be working very smoothly though. Also, I am using TWRP recovery.
Maybe I missed flashing any other file. Could someone please help! Thanks.
Hmmm, I just flashed this yesterday, but haven't tried using GPS yet. I'll give it a try later today and let you know how it goes.
It finally started working last night (without me doing anything), and all the apps are now detecting it. Google Maps showed some erratic behavior initially - the position was inaccurate, and kept jumping from place to place, but now seems to be stable. Also while using the GPS Test app, it showed that many sats were in view, but none were getting connected. It is connecting quickly and properly now.
EDIT: It is now not working again. GPS Test can't connect to any satellite. And other apps are showing incorrect position.

[Q] Google Navigation keeps force closing since update

Hi guys,
SInce updating my stock HTC One S to Android 4.1.1 and HTC 4+, I cannot get Navigation to work properly. It force closes every 10 or so seconds.
The GPS is clearly working as it does find the route immediately, and starts to navigate - but then closes!
I rely heavily on Google Nav and seeing as I just got a new refurbished phone from my network, I don't want to have to put this one in for repair as well and be phonelesss for another week +...
Is this a known problem?
Thanks as always,
TD

Have you tried clearing the app data and cache? Are you rooted? Sometimes I find a quick re-install does the trick. I'm guessing you have tried all of those, but thought I would through them out there.
Also, have you tried a different app. like Waze?
you're not alone
this is a known problem, see below

yep, it's known problem. Been using Viper 2.2.0 and nav fc in 3d mode. I put it in 2d mode as soon as I start the nav or turn screen off and use voice guidance only.
