Power Control - clear theme - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

here is the flashable power control widget that has a clear background and new icons.

copy to sdcard and flash from recovery...
enjoy!

edit: I want to thank Russss and JsChiSurf for the input to help me do this, and uber thanks to Flipzmode for Fresh 2.3.3 to work off of!

Thank you, looks great

No problem. Glad I could contribute something useful.

Can this be used with a froyo. I'm guessing no because my widget has 6 setting.

don't think it will work with froyo. the .apk's that get mods are different.

I installed this morning on ZenHero and it works great. I especially like it in conjunction with LauncherPro's new ability to resize ANY widget!!!

Could you post a screenie of that "in use" ? I'm curious what it looks like. I just can't seem to peel myself away from sense. Everytime I load a different launcher, I go back to sense 'cause I like the way it looks and works.

Here are a few. The calendar widget is what comes with LauncherPro Plus. I resized your clear PC widget to fit underneath it instead of stretching across the whole screen. I like the 3D app drawer as well, not too mention Launcher Pro runs super fast compared to sense, at least on my phone...

No dice with it running on stock. Tons of fc's ahh well

I downloaded this and for some reason my settings app is no longer on my phone this caused many fc's, can I get a settings apk or can someone help with the problem

what rom are you using? I only tested this on Fresh 2.3.3 so I don't know for sure if it works on any others. it does make changes to com.htc.resources.apk so if you're not using the same rom, it could cause problems.

I'm using a damage rom, is there any fixes for this?

In fresh 2.3.3, the background .png that you have to make transparent is in com.htc.resources.apk. I don't know where it's located in damage. That could be the problem... it's copying the entire com.htc.resources.apk to your /system/framework/ directory.

Thought I would try this on Darch's 2.8, but, no go, causes an infinite boot.
Any idea what it would take to work in an AOSP Rom?

I would just need to locate where the PNG file for the background is located for the rom you're using and change it to be blank/transparent. I don't really have time right now to work on it, but if I get a chance another day, I'll post it on the OP as an edit.

In AOSP roms the image is usually just in Settings.apk
Look here for how it works on aosp froyo

[Request] Espresso Rosie

Hi I'm new to the incredible, just retired the Eris. I was wondering if anyone here can port the espresso rosie to the Dinc. Sorry if its been posted already. I did do a search and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance if anybody jumps on this.
Here you go.
Check there and it has a bunch of different versions depending on your current setup.
Welcome to wonderful world of the HTC Incredible.

On which Rom? If it is a froyo Rom, what happens when you launch the gallery app. Over on Android forums they talk about this issue and I had it as well on skyraider's 2.2

Wow take a quick nap, wake up and it's done. Thanks
I've used it on both of Adrynalyne's 2.2 "2nd Wave ROM" as well as "FrankenROM"
So I know it works on some if not all.

I just tried it on SkyRaider 2.2 and got stuck in a bootloop

Yeah Gallery crashes. I hardly use my camera so its not really a big deal for me but I'd like to know if iot gets fixed.
Wasn't a big deal till I tried to change my wallpaper. Kinda Annoying, but its almost there.

The gallery should work if you rotate your phone before going into the gallery. You can still choose wallpapers and contact pics fine using that work around.
Yep turning the phone worked. Thanks again those who helped here.
The gallery crashing thing is why I abandoned it for Froyo shortly after porting it.
I deplore crashes, so I just can't tolerate it. Oh and I don't know how to fix it.
It might be easier to do now that we have s-off, but metamorph expert, I am not.

Yeah, I'd love to see this working properly. At least there's a workaround but I hate having to use a workaround just so it won't forceclose.
I wanted to bump this thread to see if there have been any updates for the Espresso Bar for Froyo that will keep it from crashing the gallery.
Thanks!

Themed Animated Flip HtcClockWidget

If anyone is interested I themed the HtcClockWidget that had been ported to the Incredible with silver digits on flat black.
This is the animated flip clock and should work on any Sense 2.2 ROM that uses the stock clock and desk clock widgets. Tested on 2.2 and latest leak 2.2+
Install in recovery by selecting the zip file.
NOTE: Do a nand backup just in case you have a problem or want to go back
Looks and works great! Any way you can make it open the desk clock and not world clock?

Since you installed it via Recovery and it did not work I can only assume that there is something in skyraider that it conflicts with such as how skyraider is signed or library dependencies..

blue rosie theme for LiquidSense 1.1 Deodexed

This is my first theme. Its a blue black theme for liquid sense stock rom of the .7 sprint update. Now that I finally figured out how to do this. I'll be doing more. Any input or suggestions anyone wants to give will be appreciated.
If your running LiquidSense deoxed version just flash over. Any other rom wipe first.
If you like the wallpaper used, download zedge from the market and search "black day".Credit goes to LiquidSolstice for making a nice stock rom, Gommorah for the notification drop background image and the low battery notification. Credit goes to papa smurf for a majority of the images and the dialer. Also the slide down lock screen doesn't look right so I replaced it with a clear rotary lock screen located at this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670034. Hope everyone likes it.

That is one bad @$$ sense theme. It really tempts me to go back to 2.1 but aosp as got me hooked. I may just have to nandroid and try this bad boy out for a little while. Awesome job man. I really can't wait for a sense based 2.2 to be finish now.
This is a theme or a rom with the theme applied?
It is too big for be a theme...
will be nice if you could make a theme.
Looks good man

Well it's my attempt at a theme. What I did was take the rom zip and worked from there. I just edited and colorized the images. I didn't compile any codes are anything so I assume it would be a theme. I don't know if I could delete the apk's except for the themed ones or if I'd have to make a new cert and manifest which I don't know how to do yet. which apk do you edited? or which files?
could be possible to push all those files manually?
I push the framework-res.apk to my NFXhero yesterday and it works great. I like the android in the notification...
If your just pushing . You might wanna push the htc resources apk also. It will theme the rosie and the dialer/contacts. I themed the market too but after you open it once it doesn't stick anymore. I'm still trying to figure that out.
I like this. I've been on the fence to switch back to 2.1 sense and this theme is just the kick in the butt I needed to do it. Sweet stuff.
By the way, since you incorporated jschisurf's rotary lock screen, do you think it's safe to use his other mods? I used to use them all the time back when fresh roms were the shizz on the hero since that's what he made them for, and i used them on nfx roms and never had a problem, so is it safe to assume they would work on this one too?

Hi!, yesterday finally I was able to flash you themed rom. During the process, I found some errors due to the fact that you dont re-sign the zip. I used the file in here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682972) to resign the zip. Now you can re-sign all your future work. It looks really nice!!!
When it boot for first time I find problems with the lock screen that not appears. After several reboots the problem persist, so I had to flash it my self. After that everything works great. The only problem left is that when my phone wakeup by a call the drop down bar to answer the call does not appear. Any Idea how to resolve this?
Which files did you edit to make the theme?
Dam guess no go on my request lol I would ask again but with this theme being so popular it looks like u will b to busy lol have fun

Thanks a ton for this effect! I love this feature but I'm having the same issues I had with this that I had with another rom. Everything was running very smooth on my widgets but after adding the carousel, my facebook, people, mail and message widgets all are very laggy. I don't know what it is about this feature that does that but I'm not sure it's a good tradeoff for the performance I was having. Someone will probably figure it out in good time though. Very nice to have this option though. Thanks given!
p.s. It did take away right button rosie setting feature. Back to personalization.

Yes, of course it will run on Cyanogen Rom. There is, of course, no reason to use this when there is a working, fully-optimized, ROOTED Evo 3d Port exclusive to Cyanogenmod users that you can download right here..

Hey fdb8231, thanks a lot for this and your efforts to get our carousels spinning! Lol, I do have one question though. What's the difference between the rosie3 that came in the synergy nightly 0.18 zip (with all 3d widgets included) and this one, because it seems like that one was sized for our screens a little better. the issue I had with that one was it threw all htc widgets out of wack and caused FCs (probably from flashing a nightly on RC1, but a lot of people said it worked flawlessly). Where did this rosie.apk come from?

I've been running this since last night, and it seems to work much better for me than when I tried to run TW 4.5. The only issue I've had so far is with market updates crashing the market, but I'm sure that's from the way I restored all my apps, since I was so tired.
I would like to know if anyone knows of a way to do this true TW4 standalone from the ROM, or is the only way to use this ROM?
If it is anything like TW4.5, you have to turn on landscape mode followed by a reboot. It only has to be done once but once you do you get landscape.

Yeah, all you need is the framework.jar from the framework folder and it needs to go in an Eh17 rom and you also need twlauncher from system/app
Hey J. Everytime I run this I get only the app drawer on the dock. No phone browser or whatever else is usually there. Is it something I'm doing?

Just manually add the apps you want on the dock.
(App Drawer > Menu > View Type > Customizable Grid > Menu > Edit > *Make Changes* > Menu > Save > Menu > View Type > Go back to what you like.)
It's a lot more annoying than other launchers on the market, but you can still do it. TW4 seems to have a maximum of three apps, plus the app drawer. On the custom TW4.5, it allows for more, but the app drawer still will always be the right-most icon. Those two things are all I would as for Samsung.. well maybe an auto-hide home screen number too. Minor annoyances but a silky smooth launcher.
Also, thanks for the reply xboxfanj, about trying to add this without needing to flash the whole ROM.
Thanks.

If anyone knows how to make a theme install script, the only files I changed were framework.jar and TWlauncher

If I can find the time, I might try learning how to do that, because I'm having a bit too much trouble combining my mods. I might tinker with it, along side working on getting ACS ICS where I want it on my phone. In the meantime, I've been using QQLauncher. It's nicer looking, and more of what I want, since it readily works with ACS ICS, but TW4 seemed to be a bit smoother for me. Now that the Galaxy Nexus has been announced, I might also be a little more patient as things develop. Not to mention, Cyanogen is getting pretty polished. Decisions, decisions.. I'll be glad when I'm finally settled on something. Until then, hopefully I can learn enough to help put some of these solid mods together.

St. Louis Buddies. Cardinals 2nite. I'll fix it and make it more TW4 like too, IE: not only the launcher, other interface elements too. I'll make it a theme.
St. Louis buddy #3 hope cardinals kick ass =P. I'm shocked you can add your own apps to touchwiz 4.0 I didn't know about that at all >__>

In the theme, I'll add the International Galaxy S 2 standard apps like phone because they have much cooler icons.

This is the tw4 framework, not just a theme. At least to my understanding.
